Angela Scanlon has claimed Strictly Come Dancing left her in more pain than childbirth as she detailed the horror injuries she sustained from the long-running show. The Irish TV presenter, 41, took part in the Saturday night BBC series back in 2023 and danced with professional Carlos Gu, 32. However, despite waltzing all the way through the competition and finishing in sixth place, Angela's stint left her with nasty 'raw, bleeding blisters'. Speaking to reality TV star Vicky Pattison, 37, on their Get A Grip podcast, Angela said: 'I've had two children without pain relief and would do that ten times over in a day than have raw, bleeding blisters. 'You have to put the goddamn shoes on and do a Viennese waltz - my heels have never had so much action. You put socks on with your ballroom shoe, and you're still rub-a-dubbing. 'You're raw.' Angela has two daughters with her entrepreneur husband Rory Horgan - Ruby, seven, and Marnie, three. The pair married in 2014 and Rory, who works in corporate banking, tends to keep a low profile compared to his wife. Angela gave birth to her first daughter Ruby in 2018, while Marnie was delivered in 2022 - just a year before she signed up to Strictly. She's not the first Strictly Come Dancing celebrity to have sustained a number of nasty injuries since its launch in 2004. Just last year DIY SOS star Nick Knowles badly injured his knee during training after a jump went wrong. The 62-year-old had to have two operations to aid his recovery. Big Brother host AJ Odudu was also left on crutches in 2021 when she tore a ligament, with the star revealing how her ligament in the arch of her foot was left ' hanging by a thread '. Zara McDermott previously told how her feet were left bleeding over the show's intensive training sessions back in 2023. She told how she was left with just three toenails following her appearances in the ballroom and shared a photo of her nasty foot wounds including one on her big toe, saying: 'Half my toe has come off tbh.' Meanwhile, earlier this month Angela bravely opened up about her ongoing battle with loneliness, revealing it became so bad she suffered a breakdown as a result. She hit breaking point during a CoppaFeel! charity trek in the Himalayas, India last November. Angela was a team leader during the trip alongside fellow TV presenter Emma Willis, entrepreneur Sara Davies and Great British Bake Off winner Candice Brown. Sharing her emotional story in a Substack post, Angela said she had hoped simply to motivate the female trekkers, all of whom had had breast cancer. However, just days into the challenging trek, she found herself overwhelmed by the emotional intensity of the experience. 'A couple of days in - I cracked. Full breakdown. Ugly crying into my yak-themed duvet,' she shared. She added she thought to herself at the time, 'I can't do this. I'm not the right person. What the actual f*** was I thinking? How arrogant was I to believe I'm equipped to hold these brilliant women at such a tender time?'

They added: "I've worn it for a girls' day out. I am now wearing it to work. I've had lots of lovely compliments." A third customer commented: "Great dress. The former Geordie Shore star, 37, slipped into a green triangle style number as she lounged in the sun while staying in nearby Nice. She showed off her holiday tan as she relaxed and wore her brunette tresses in loose waves while opting for glowing makeup. Vicky shared further snaps of her trip as she enjoyed a dinner out, showing off her figure in a one-shoulder yellow dress. 'I got council estate Katy Perry once but I've never had Princess Kate. So everyone always, like, buzzes like an old fridge when she like re-wears something.' 'When she pulls something out from the wardrobe. Lashes on a pair of black gloves and calls it a new outfit. So I thought, listen, I'm gonna re-wear my wedding dress, I'm gonna dye it and I'm gonna get column inches. I'm gonna get praise. I am a f***ing green queen.' But Vicky was not the only star to wear old bridalwear on the red carpet, which stole the limelight from the former Geordie Shore star. She said: 'Then Stacey Solomon did it as well. And no one's talking about me. But Stacey really customized hers. She'd added little shorts, she took away bits.'

JoJo Siwa gushes ‘my heart is overflowing' after Chris Hughes shares ‘romantic' snaps from Mexico holiday
JOJO Siwa has insisted "my heart is overflowing" after reuniting with Chris Hughes and jetting off on holiday. Chris, 32, took to Instagram to share snaps from his week with 22-year-old JoJo. 3 3 3 The former Celebrity Big Brother housemates looked thrilled to be back back together, with one photo showing them beaming while laying next to each other. Alongside his upload, Chris wrote: "The previous 7 days have been the prettiest." And JoJo added: "& happiest:). Heart is overflowing." Chris' followers and celeb pals were quick to comment on the 'romantic' post. Vicky Pattison said: "You look so happy." Megan McKenna wrote: "Erm. Obsessed with you both." And their fellow former CBB star Donna Preston added: "Love this." Fans are convinced Chris and JoJo are together are weeks of speculation, with someone writing: "This has to be a hard launch." JoJo split with her partner Kath Ebbs on the night of the final and immediately spent the following weekend with Chris before jetting back to the States. Now, after three weeks apart, they are reunited and appear closer than ever. And a clip posted on social media of them in Mexico showed Chris and JoJo holding hands during a walk - in the biggest hint yet that they're a couple. After jetting off to Disneyland in Florida, the pair were then spotted enjoying a cosy dinner date.

I'm A Celeb All Stars dealt fresh blow as show winner 'pulls out of talks'
The I'm A Celebrity… South Africa production team has reportedly been set back in the casting process for the upcoming series of the show. A major reality star and former winner of the show is said to have dropped out of talks to return when the show comes back to ITV1 screens later this year. The All Stars version of the series reunites old campmates for a stint in the South African desert, with last year's cast including Shaun Ryder, Gillian McKeith, Helen Flanagan, Phil Tufnell, and Jordan Banjo. As ITV looks to assemble another batch of stars, Vicky Pattison is said to have ceased talks for appearing on the show after she was crowned Queen of the Jungle in 2015. A source told The Sun: 'As soon as ITV bosses decided they were bringing back the All Stars version of I'm A Celeb, they set their signs on getting Vicky Pattison back in the jungle. It comes after Gemma Collins is rumoured to be appearing on the upcoming season. The Towie star infamously only lasted three days in the jungle, historically telling the cameras: 'People who murder get treated better than this. That's the truth. Even a murderer gets fed three times a day.' The GC fan hive might be in luck since rumours of her upcoming return to the show are in line with comments she made in 2019. During an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, she said: 'I will never forget getting the call. Looking back, I don't feel I was ready for that show. I was new to TV, I was the underdog on Towie. More Trending 'I wasn't the best looking girl, I didn't have a model figure, I was this car girl from Romford selling cars. I was being put in the jungle and in hindsight I wasn't ready for it.' She continued: 'I felt hugely out of my depth – I was petrified. If I was to go back now, I've got more experience. I've got a tougher skin now and I think that's where The GC came into play.
