Inviting Creators Worldwide to Capture the Rhythm of Creativity BREA, Calif., Aug. 6, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- ViewSonic Corp., a leading global provider of visual solutions, today announced the launch of the 6th ColorPro Awards Global Visual Arts Competition[1], inviting creators worldwide to submit original visual artworks inspired by this year's theme: "FLOW." Entries are open through September 20, 2025[2], offering participants the chance to win a share of a prize pool valued at over US$33,000, along with two opportunities to win a high-performance ColorPro monitor through the monthly Lucky Draw. This year's theme, "FLOW," celebrates creativity that feels fluid, purposeful, and alive—where ideas pour out like a stream, not a struggle. Whether expressed through still imagery or dynamic visuals, the focus is on movement, rhythm, and a clear sense of artistic direction. "FLOW is more than movement—it's the harmony between inspiration and execution," said Oscar Lin, General Manager of the Monitor Business Unit at ViewSonic. "The ColorPro Awards celebrates that creative state, offering a global platform to spotlight bold ideas and elevate diverse artistic voices. Last year, the theme 'MOMENTUM' drew over 10,000 entries from more than 100 countries and regions. We look forward to seeing how creators bring FLOW to life in their unique ways this year." A Global Stage for Creative BrillianceNow in its sixth edition, the ColorPro Awards continue to celebrate artistic excellence across four key categories: Photography, Videography, Digital Art, and Generated Art. This year's competition is backed by the promotional support of leading industry partners—Calibrite, Lexar, Pantone®, Shooters, Shoot The Face, and Vertex Mode—underscoring a shared commitment to fostering the global creative community. Entries will be reviewed by a distinguished international panel of visual artists, filmmakers, and creative leaders. Submissions will be assessed based on five key criteria: aesthetics, creativity, storytelling, relevance to the "FLOW" theme, and overall execution. The complete list of judges can be viewed at: ColorPro Awards Judges. Winners will receive cash prizes, ColorPro monitors, and a suite of professional creative tools, including products from leading brands such as Pantone, Calibrite, AMD, and Lexar, a 12-month Tinyspace membership, and more. In addition, winning artwork will gain global visibility through ColorPro's digital platforms, international exhibitions, and official award showcases. Interpreting "FLOW" Through the Artists' LensAs part of this year's ColorPro Awards, ViewSonic invited a global group of advocates to explore the theme of "FLOW" through their unique visual perspective. The result is a rich tapestry of visual storytelling that captures movement, rhythm, and fluidity across diverse environments and moments. Among the featured creators, photographer, videographer, and content creator, Forrest Funk, draws inspiration from the natural world. In his image of Kebler Pass, golden light leads the viewer's eye through a vibrant cascade of foliage, capturing the organic rhythm of the landscape. Shifting from nature to craftsmanship, Chris Ha, an award-winning travel photographer, highlights the artistry of human hands. His photo of a Vietnamese artisan swirling blue fishing nets mirrors the gentle motion of water, drawing viewers into a meditative moment of focused, purposeful work. Exploring the subtle beauty of daily life, visual storyteller Ashraful Arefin captures the graceful flow of liquid and steam as a man pours hot tea. The image reveals how even the simplest routines can reflect elegance, rhythm, and flow. Bringing a more atmospheric perspective, digital artist Sara Pardo Vázquez presents a tranquil composition where light, air, and nature align. Her piece captures a fleeting moment of harmony, reflecting the ephemeral essence of FLOW in the present. ViewSonic VX2758A-2K-PRO-3 review: 240Hz without breaking the bank

The ViewSonic VX2758A-2K-PRO-3 sits in that sweet spot where ambitious specs meet reasonable pricing. At around ₹21,000, it promises 27-inch 2K gaming at 240Hz, numbers that would have cost twice as much just a couple of years ago. But beyond the impressive spec sheet lies a monitor that's refreshingly honest about what it delivers. Function over form The VX2758A-2K-PRO-3 won't win any design awards, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. ViewSonic has gone for a no-nonsense approach with matte black plastic construction and slim bezels that fade into the background. There's no RGB lighting or aggressive gaming aesthetics here, just a monitor that does its job without demanding attention. The build quality feels solid enough for the price point. The metal base provides decent stability, though you'll notice some wobble if you're an enthusiastic desk-thumper. The chassis itself doesn't creak or flex, which is more than you can say for some budget displays. Here's where reality sets in: the included stand only tilts. No height adjustment, no swivel, no rotation. If you're not sitting at the perfect height or prefer portrait orientation for coding, you'll need to budget extra for a VESA arm. It's a practical limitation that keeps costs down, but one that might catch some buyers off guard. The connectivity is refreshingly straightforward, two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4. No USB hub, no built-in speakers, no unnecessary bells and whistles. For most gaming setups involving a PC and console, this covers the basics without cable clutter. Speed meets reality The 27-inch SuperClear IPS panel is where this monitor starts to shine. The 2560×1440 resolution hits the sweet spot for modern gaming, sharp enough to appreciate detail without demanding flagship GPU horsepower. Colors pop with that characteristic IPS vibrancy, and viewing angles remain consistent even when you're gaming from the couch. The 240Hz refresh rate is the star of the show, though with some caveats. When your hardware can push those frame rates, the difference from 144Hz is noticeable, not revolutionary, but definitely smoother. Fast-paced shooters like Valorant and CS2 feel more responsive, with reduced motion blur during quick camera movements. AMD FreeSync Premium and G-Sync compatibility work as advertised, eliminating screen tearing across a wide refresh range. The 1ms MPRT response time keeps ghosting to a minimum, though enabling this mode dims the display noticeably and disables HDR. Speaking of HDR, let's manage expectations. With a peak brightness of around 300 nits, HDR10 support feels more like a checkbox feature than a genuine enhancement. Colors become oversaturated rather than truly dynamic, and bright scenes lose their punch. You're better off sticking to SDR for consistent image quality. Color accuracy is decent out of the box but not exceptional. Professional work requiring precise colors will need calibration, though casual content creation and gaming look perfectly fine. The sRGB mode covers the full gamut but runs dimmer than ideal for daytime use. Doing double duty While marketed primarily for gaming, the VX2758A-2K-PRO-3 handles other tasks reasonably well. Movie watching benefits from the wide viewing angles and solid contrast, though the modest brightness means HDR content won't deliver the intended impact. The anti-glare coating helps in bright rooms but introduces a subtle grainy texture that becomes noticeable with pure white backgrounds. For productivity work, the 27-inch 2K resolution provides ample screen real estate. Text remains sharp, and color-sensitive tasks like photo editing are manageable with some tweaking. The lack of height adjustment becomes more apparent during long work sessions, where ergonomics matter more than in gaming scenarios. The blue light filter and flicker-free technology genuinely help during extended use. Eye strain feels reduced compared to cheaper panels, making this monitor viable for both work and play without constant mode switching. Content consumption falls somewhere in the middle. Streaming services look crisp and colorful, though the limited brightness means darker scenes can feel washed out in bright rooms. The wide color gamut helps animated content and games pop, but live-action HDR material doesn't quite reach its potential. The reality check The ViewSonic VX2758A-2K-PRO-3 succeeds by being honest about its priorities. It's a gaming monitor first, with other uses being pleasant bonuses rather than primary strengths. The 240Hz performance is genuine and smooth when your hardware can deliver, making competitive gaming feel notably more responsive. The compromises are clear but reasonable. The basic stand limits positioning options, HDR performance underwhelms, and color accuracy requires tweaking for professional work. But these aren't deal-breakers, they're conscious trade-offs that keep the price accessible. For competitive gamers upgrading from 60Hz or 1080p displays, the improvement will feel transformative. The combination of higher resolution and refresh rate creates a notably more immersive experience. Casual users will appreciate the crisp visuals and smooth motion, even if they never approach 240fps. This monitor delivers exactly what it promises, high refresh rate 2K gaming at for Rs 20,000. The limitations are present but predictable, making it an easy recommendation for anyone prioritising performance over premium features. AI Masterclass for Students. ViewSonic LX700-4K RGB projector review: Precision at a premium

Most projectors make you choose: stellar colour accuracy or blazing brightness, cinematic perfection or gaming prowess, professional features or user-friendly operation. Well, ViewSonic's trying something different with its LX700-4K RGB projector, which refuses these traditional compromises, cramming RGB laser technology, 100% BT.2020 color coverage, and "Designed for Xbox" gaming credentials into a single but expensive Rs 4,50,000 package. The question becomes whether ViewSonic can successfully balance the often-conflicting demands of cinema-grade color reproduction and low-latency gaming performance within a single chassis. Design and build The LX700-4K RGB abandons ViewSonic's traditionally utilitarian aesthetic for a more refined approach, though it stops short of premium industrial design. The compact 286×216×129mm chassis feels appropriately substantial without unnecessary bulk, making it genuinely portable for a projector in this performance class. The predominantly black (or white) plastic construction feels substantial without unnecessary weight, while the recessed lens assembly provides adequate protection for the optical elements. Although, the looks of it doesn't really scream its price, and if you are someone who's into the aesthetics of things, this might not impress you a lot. The manual zoom and lens shift controls operate with satisfying precision, though the 1.6x optical zoom falls short of the flexibility offered by dedicated home theater projectors at this price. The 1.6x optical zoom provides reasonable installation flexibility, though it falls short of the 2x+ ratios found in dedicated home theater projectors at this price point. One thing that might irk some is the absence of sliding lens cover, a feature present in ViewSonic's previous X2-4K model, Not having it on this one feels like a step backward, given the projector's purpose built for gaming. The connectivity options are well thought. There are two HDMI 2.0 ports that handle the projector's high-refresh capabilities. The presence of eARC acknowledges that most users will pair this with external audio systems rather than relying on built-in speakers. Performance The headline feature – RGB laser technology with 100% BT.2020 colour coverage – delivers on its promise through exceptional daily usability combined with standout gaming performance. The RGB laser technology maintains impressive color accuracy across varying brightness levels, with measured output matching the 5,200 lumens specification while preserving color fidelity even in moderate ambient light – a crucial advantage over competing blue laser phosphor systems. Gaming performance genuinely impresses with 4.2ms input lag at 1080p@240Hz and competitive 16ms at 4K@60Hz. The "Designed for Xbox" certification translates to seamless transitions between resolution and refresh rate combinations, while 1440p@120Hz support unlocks current-generation console potential. Rather than oversaturated gaming modes, the projector maintains natural color balance while enhancing shadow detail for competitive advantage. Daily operation reveals the RGB laser's practical benefits: instant startup without warm-up periods, decades of maintenance-free operation (20,000-30,000 hour lifespan), and consistent color performance throughout its life. True 4K resolution avoids pixel-shifting compromises, delivering genuine detail reproduction in both gaming and cinematic content. However, thermal management becomes noticeable during extended sessions, with audible fan noise that may concern dedicated home theatre users. The dated menu interface lacks modern smart TV polish, though the absence of built-in streaming assumes users prefer dedicated devices – arguably a smart positioning choice. The projector adapts well to challenging installations through vertical lens shift (+0% to -15%) and comprehensive keystone correction, while professional-grade calibration options serve enthusiasts willing to dive deeper into colour management. For those seeking large-screen gaming excellence with genuine 4K performance, the LX700-4K RGB delivers a compelling experience that balances technical achievement with practical usability. Verdict The ViewSonic LX700-4K RGB succeeds in delivering professional-grade colour performance within a package optimised for gaming applications. Its RGB laser implementation provides genuine advantages over competing technologies, particularly for users prioritising colour accuracy alongside high brightness output. The gaming performance credentials prove legitimate, with input lag and refresh rate support that satisfies demanding users. However, at ₹4,50,000, this projector competes directly with established home theatre models that may offer superior lens systems, quieter operation, and more refined user interfaces. The value proposition depends heavily on whether RGB laser colour performance and gaming optimisation justify the premium over blue laser phosphor alternatives. The projector ultimately delivers on its core promise of bridging professional colour standards with gaming performance, though it requires users to embrace its specific strengths while accepting its operational compromises. Our rating: 3.5/5
