Mahindra Vision S teased again: Design details revealed ahead of August debut

Mahindra and Mahindra have released another teaser of the Mahindra Vision S , offering a closer look at the upcoming concept SUV . Set for an official unveiling on August 15, which is about a month from now, this model is likely to join the Scorpio lineup alongside the Classic and Scorpio N. The teaser hints that the Vision S could preview the first electric version of the Scorpio N, showcasing part of the front profile, a tall stance, and robust, off-road-focused tyres. While earlier teasers gave a partial look at the bonnet from above, the latest one provides a side view. Confirmed styling cues include a bold, upright front, sculpted bonnet with side scoops, and the arches are packed with aggressive, off-road-focused tyres that enhance the SUV's tough, go-anywhere look. A steeply raked front windscreen adds a more aerodynamic silhouette, hinting that this model may sit lower than the current Scorpio lineup. The new teaser also highlights a closed-off front section, a sharply contoured bonnet, and edgy cladding around the wheels. The SUV's chunky tyres and sharply angled windscreen further suggest its off-road capabilities. A closer inspection also reveals a charging port tucked neatly beneath the front nose, confirming its electric nature. Other key visual elements include a flat clamshell-style bonnet with prominent vents and a modern reinterpretation of Mahindra's signature six-slat grille. The Vision S is expected to be underpinned by Mahindra's new NFA (New Flexible Architecture) platform, designed to support a wide range of powertrains with an emphasis on electrification and eco-friendly performance. While interior details remain undisclosed, the cabin is likely to come equipped with a rich feature set and advanced tech. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like An engineer reveals: One simple trick to get internet without a subscription Techno Mag Learn More Undo MG M9 first drive review: More than just a fancy box on wheels? Mahindra Hints At Next-Gen SUV Lineup With Freedom_NU Teasers

The Vision T, Vision S, Vision SXT, and Vision X are likely early glimpses of a brand-new flexible vehicle platform. Mahindra has kicked off a teaser campaign called freedom_nu ahead of its annual Independence Day event on August 15. At the event, the company will reveal a 'new platform vision" and showcase four new concept SUVs. The teasers feature both electric (EV) and internal combustion engine (ICE) versions, indicated by Mahindra's Twin Peaks logos, suggesting the upcoming platform may support multiple fuel types. The four concept SUVs have been named Vision T, Vision S, Vision X, and Vision SXT. All the teaser images show a top-down view of the bonnet, giving small clues about each model's identity and design. These concepts are expected to lay the foundation for future SUV families under Mahindra's strategy of building a 'house of brands." It's sleek, it's sharp, it's athletic. Vision.X joins the #FREEDOM_NU line up this 15th August 2025 #MahindraAuto #MahindraElectricOriginSUVs — Mahindra Automotive (@Mahindra_Auto) July 7, 2025 Let's take a closer look at each of them. Vision T The Vision T teaser was released first. The 'T' most likely connects it to the Thar lineup. The bonnet is square with bold wheel arches, visible bonnet latches, and rugged all-terrain tyres. These elements hint that this could be an updated or near-production version of the Thar.e concept, which Mahindra showcased in South Africa in 2023. The Vision SXT is a bit of a mystery. However, the design closely matches the Vision T, with similar bonnet latches and rugged styling. This suggests it could be a Thar-based variant—possibly a pickup truck, inspired by the Global Pik Up concept Mahindra revealed last year. Vision X This SUV appears more refined and less off-road focused than the others. It features sleek, sporty lines and seems to be part of the XUV family. Many believe this could be the much-awaited XEV 7e, a premium, urban SUV that would sit alongside the XEV 9e coupe SUV. The XEV 7e has already been spotted in testing and may borrow design elements from the XUV700 and Mahindra's newer EVs. view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
