Vox Cinemas hosts UAE premiere of ‘Restart' ahead of regional release
'Restart' releases at Vox Cinemas across the region on May 29 and tickets are currently on sale. Vox Cinemas, the Middle East's cinema exhibitor, rolled out the red carpet for the UAE premiere of Restart last evening at its flagship location in Mall of the Emirates. The star-studded event welcomed a packed audience of more than 500 guests, including prominent media figures and social media influencers, and featured appearances by the film's lead actors Tamer Hosny, Bassem Samra and Mohamed Tharwat, along with director Sara Wafiq. The premiere marked a major cultural moment ahead of the film's official release on May 29 across Vox Cinemas in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Egypt and Lebanon. Produced by Tamer Hosny's TH Production and directed by Sara Wafiq, Restart tells the story of Mohamed, a humble phone technician played by Hosny, and his fiancée Afaf, portrayed by Hana El Zahed, who dreams of becoming a social media star. As they chase fame with help from their families and a notorious agent known as 'the Joker,' the couple quickly finds themselves drifting from their core values. The film explores themes of love, ambition and the price of success, with Mohamed ultimately facing the challenge of mending broken bonds and winning back the woman he loves.

BurJuman Mall Introduces Ticketless Paid Parking: Free Hours, Fines and Penalties Explained
BurJuman Mall has officially activated its ticketless paid parking system, joining a growing list of Dubai malls embracing automated, license plate-based parking solutions. The move is aimed at improving traffic flow and enhancing convenience for shoppers. The system, powered by Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras, removes the need for physical tickets. While entrance and exit barriers remain in place, they lift automatically, allowing vehicles to move through seamlessly. Parking fees remain unchanged despite the upgrade. Visitors still receive up to three hours of free parking, with charges applying only after that threshold. Vox Cinemas unveils IMAX experience at Mall of the Emirates
Now open at Vox Cinemas Mall of the Emirates, the new IMAX features premium theatre style pod seating, designed by Ōma Cinema. Vox Cinemas, owned and operated by Majid Al Futtaim, has launched what it calls the world's most innovative IMAX experience, setting a new global benchmark for immersive and luxurious moviegoing. The unveiling of the IMAX theatre at Mall of the Emirates marks a major milestone in VOX Cinemas' ongoing transformation initiative. At the heart of this state-of-the-art offering is the Ōma Cinema premium pod seating, a patented design making its regional debut. Developed by French architect Pierre Chican, the pod-style seating structure mimics the tiered balconies of classic theatres, creating a more intimate and vertically elevated viewing experience. Each of the seven exclusive pods seats five guests and offers a private lounge atmosphere, complete with Vox's luxury 'THEATRE' service — including reclining seats, pillows, blankets and gourmet food delivered to guests' seats.
