IPL 2025 updated schedule: Top foreign players from RCB, MI, PBKS set to miss remaining games

Mumbai Indians are set to suffer a top-order setback as South Africa's Ryan Rickelton is expected to join his national team for the WTC 2025 Final. His absence during the IPL playoffs could disrupt Mumbai's batting stability at a crucial juncture. Another key figure likely to miss the business end of the IPL is MI pacer Corbin Bosch. With Test commitments looming, Bosch's departure could thin out Mumbai's pace resources just when they need variety and depth in their bowling attack. Punjab Kings are likely to lose their pace all-rounder Marco Jansen to the WTC Final. Jansen's absence would be a double blow — weakening their new-ball bowling and depriving the team of a big-hitting option in the lower middle order. RCB are bracing for the absence of premier fast bowler Josh Hazlewood, who is expected to be part of Australia's WTC squad. Hazlewood's unavailability could leave a significant void in the pace department at a critical playoff phase. Lungi Ngidi, another pace weapon for RCB, is also likely to depart for South Africa's WTC Final preparations. Losing both Hazlewood and Ngidi could severely dent RCB's bowling strength in the knockout rounds. Power-hitting West Indies all-rounder Romario Shepherd may be unavailable for the IPL playoffs due to national duty in the ODI series against Ireland and England. His absence would impact RCB's lower-order firepower and bowling balance. Emerging all-rounder Jacob Bethell is expected to leave before the playoffs to fulfill international duties, possibly with the England Lions or senior squad. His exit raises team balance issues for RCB, especially in the middle overs. Liam Livingstone, known for his finishing abilities and part-time spin, is likely to leave Royal Challengers ahead of the playoffs for England's ODI series. Losing such a multi-dimensional player would be a major blow to PBKS's end-overs strategy. Explosive English opener Phil Salt, a key powerplay enforcer for RCB, could miss the playoffs due to his selection in England's ODI squad. His absence would likely disrupt RCB's top-order tempo and early aggression.
