American Airlines passengers scramble onto wing to flee burning engine as plane lands at Denver airport
Passengers on an American Airlines flight that landed at Denver airport Thursday evening were forced to evacuate onto the wing of the plane when an aircraft engine caught fire. Dozens of passengers could be seen crammed onto the wing as clouds of white, then thick black smoke began enveloping the plane. Some passengers evacuated from the aircraft via emergency slides. The fire was extinguished and all passengers were evacuated, an airport spokesperson told CNN. Twelve passengers were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, according to the Denver Fire Department. There were 172 passengers and six crew members aboard, The engine caught fire as the American Airlines Flight 1006 was taxiing down the runway in Denver. The Boeing 737-800 aircraft had been headed from Colorado Springs to Dallas-Fort Worth, but was diverted to Denver at 5:15 p.m. when the crew reported 'engine vibrations,' according to a statement from the Federal Aviation Administration. 'After landing and while taxiing to the gate an engine caught fire,' the statement said. An FAA investigation is ongoing. In early February a commuter plane crashed in western Alaska on its way to Nome, killing all 10 people on board. On February 18 at least 18 people were injured when a Delta Airlines plane carrying 80 passengers flipped over as it was landing at the Toronto airport. All survived. The troubling accidents have occurred amid upheaval during the Trump administration as Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency has fired FAA personnel.

Bill Burr Tore Into Elon Musk, Calling Him An "Idiot" And "Evidently A Nazi" With "Dyed Hair Plugs And A Laminated Face," And People Are Praising Him For It
I think it's more than safe to say that right now Elon Musk is one of the most hated people in the world. Heck, he isn't very liked by the majority of Americans either. Even some Republican lawmakers are raising concerns about Musk, as the huge budget cuts his DOGE department is doing are starting to impact their constituents. Earlier this week, Bill Burr appeared on NPR's Fresh Air to promote his upcoming Hulu comedy special, Drop Dead Years. In the interview, Burr said that his comedy nowadays is to get people to see that it's billionaires who are dividing us, saying, "I'm trying to get regular people to stop yelling at each other and realize that it's a select few group of nerds — OK? — eating raw almonds and doing their stupid workouts and everything and just competing with each other to have the biggest infinity pool, and the rest of us are getting pushed down. And they've politicized the whole stupid thing, and we're falling for it." When asked to clarify who they are, Burr, who has never shied away from sharing his honest opinions, said, "That idiot Elon Musk." He then went on to say that Musk is "evidently a Nazi." Adding, "Like, I just refuse to believe that it was an accidental two-time Seig heil. And he does it at a presidential inauguration." Burr then ripped into liberals for having "no teeth whatsoever" because they'd rather leave the US than push back against "one guy with dyed hair plugs and a laminated makes a bad car and has an obsolete social media platform" and that "can't fight his way out of a wet paper bag." People online are applauding Burr for calling out Musk, as well as the Democrats for not fighting back harder.
