The pair as set to sign the contract for the WWE Undisputed Championship - but will it be a simple signing or will shenanigans be afoot? Here's your preview for this evening's WWE Smackdown, UK start time and the current card for WWE SummerSlam 2025. It's little more than two weeks before one of the WWE's 'Big Four' PLEs takes place – and for the first time in history, WWE SummerSlam is taking place over two nights. The event, being held at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, is already shaping up to have a cast of celebrities appear. Jelly Roll is set to team with Randy Orton against Logan Paul, who will tag with Drew McIntyre. Cardi B is also set to serve as the hostess of this year's event. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad But it is the title matches that many people are keeping their eye on, especially in the case of CM Punk. Punk is set to challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship after winning a gauntlet match on the past episode of WWE Raw. Seth Rollins, his nemesis, is sadly out injured after tweaking his knee during a match against LA Knight at Saturday Night's Main Event. Though we don't know the extent of the injury, as in a recent interview with Rich Eisen, Rollins admitted they didn't press on with an MRI scan as his knee was too swollen. Some of us are taking that at face value... but he is 'The Architect' after all, and as wrestling leans into what is reported in the real world at times, could Mr. Money in the Bank recover miraculously and cost CM Punk that coveted title? Sounds like it could be a very interesting road to Royal Rumble and WrestleMania next year for CM Punk and fans (including myself) if that is the case. But enough fantasy booking – here's your preview of what's been announced so far for WWE Smackdown this evening, UK start time, and your current WWE SummerSlam 2025 card. The WWE Undisputed champion, John Cena, will defend his title against the very person he 'stole' it from back at WrestleMania earlier this year - Cody Rhodes. Rhodes won the right to challenge Cena after winning the 2025 King of The Ring Tournament, and the WWE's quarterback will be looking to finally claim the coveted title he lost through less-than-fair methods. However, with Cena still hell bent on 'ruining' wrestling, could he have a trick up his sleeve at this year's two-night SummerSlam event? The Final Boss has been very conspicuous with his absence lately and SummerSlam is very much a 'Big 4' WWE event. What time is WWE Smackdown starting in the UK this evening? It's a late one once again for UK WWE fans, as this evening's episode is once again starting on Netflix from 1am BST on July 19 2025. For those who can't stay up late thought, on demand repeats will be available once the broadcast has concluded. What matches have been announced so far for WWE SummerSlam 2025? Alongside Cody Rhodes challenging John Cena for the WWE Undisputed Championship, SummerSlam will once again see celebrity involvement, as Jelly Roll is set to tag up with Randy Orton to take on Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul. Triple H Makes Major Announcement Before WWE Smackdown: "You Never Know..."

Triple H, former WWE star and current chief content officer of the American wrestling promotion, has made a major announcement. Ahead of this week WWE Smackdown, Triple H shared a poster of "Unreal - It's More Real Than ouy Think", a Netflix sports series. The show is likely to give fans a behind-the-scenes experience of the WWE. 'WWE: Unreal' will have appearances from John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, CM Punk, Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, Chelsea Green, Jey Uso, Xavier Woods, and Triple H himself. The series is aimed at showing the intense work that goes behind the glitz of WWE. "You never know what to believe… until now. #WWEUnreal premieres July 29 on @netflix." Triple H posted on X. You never know what to believe… until now. #WWEUnreal premieres July 29 on @netflix. — Triple H (@TripleH) July 17, 2025 According to reports, Triple H will narrate the docuseries. Triple H is a 14-time WWE world champion who has served as WWE's Chief Content Officer since 2022. Recently, Triple H - whose real name is Paul Michael Levesque - told Entertainment Weekly: 'Our business evolves and so do the expectations of our audience. When you look at the track records of Omaha Productions and NFL Films, it felt like we had the right partners in place to pull back the curtain and showcase WWE in a brand-new way." However, not all agrees with triple H. WWE superstar CM Punk has mixed feelings. 'I have that old-school mentality of protecting the business," Punk said. 'So the idea of letting cameras this far behind the scenes is really strange to me — even if I understand why fans want to see it." WWE: Unreal will premiere globally on Netflix on July 29. The series is directed by Chris Weaver and produced by Omaha Productions, NFL Films, Skydance Sports, and WWE.

WWE Smackdown coming to ASU's Mullett Arena as part of Big 12 partnership

FRISCO, Texas — WWE Smackdown is coming to Mullett Arena. The stop is part of an expanded partnership between the professional entertainment giant and the Big 12, and was announced at the second of two media days on July 9 at The Star in Frisco, the headquarters of the NFL's Dallas Cowboys. Advertisement Wrestler Big E (real name Ettore Ewen), who played college football at Iowa, appeared at the media day to discuss the partnership. The move will bring a live Smackdown telecast to four Big 12 markets on the eve of a football game. The first SmackDown will be held on Aug. 22 at 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland, a day before the 30th year of Big 12 Football kicks off with a Week 0 matchup between the Iowa State Cyclones and Kansas State Wildcats in the Aer Lingus College Football Classic on Aug. 23 at Aviva Stadium. Other dates include: Oct. 3 - SmackDown at Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati, Ohio (Iowa State at Cincinnati on Oct. 4) Oct. 24 - SmackDown at Mullet Arena in Tempe, Arizona (Houston at Arizona State on Oct. 25) Oct. 31 - SmackDown at Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah (Cincinnati at Utah on Nov. 1) Big E was asked who he thought might emerge on top of the Big 12. He had two teams to keep an eye on. Advertisement "A pick for the Big 12, that's difficult," he said. "Last year ASU was picked dead last. I would have Utah and Arizona State up there; it's hard to say. I might go ASU." When it came to ASU, Big E said he was "on the bandwagon" and was a Kenny Dillingham fan. "I love the high energy. I love the passion he has." Support local journalism: Subscribe to today. This article originally appeared on Arizona Republic: WWE Smackdown coming to Mullett Arena as part of Big 12 partnership
