Janel Grant Spokesperson Issues Statement On Brock Lesnar's WWE Return

Brock Lesnar is back on WWE TV. A lawyer for Janel Grant says it's not going to work out like some expect it will. Lesnar made a shocking appearance at WWE SummerSlam on Sunday night, his first appearance on WWE TV in two years. Lesnar's return was something that many speculated would not happen due to being named in Janel Grant's ongoing lawsuit against Vince McMahon and WWE. Lesnar was referenced, but not explicitly named, in the initial lawsuit. There, Grant claimed McMahon used proposing sexual encounters with her to talk Lesnar into signing a new WWE contract. Grant filed a revised complaint in her federal lawsuit in February 2025. The amendment specifically identified Lesnar as an individual whom she claims McMahon offered her to for sexual encounters in 2021. Despite identifying him in the amended complaint, Grant's own admission cleared Lesnar of doing anything illegal; the alleged sexual encounters never happened, and he isn't a defendant in the lawsuit. According to court documents, Lesnar and Grant did communicate with each other and Lesnar did express interest in the arranged encounter. However, a snowstorm reportedly changed his travel plans and prevented the meet-up from taking place. Janel Grant's team reacts to Brock Lesnar's WWE return Now, a spokesperson issued a new statement (via Fansided DDT's Samantha Schipman) about Brock Lesnar's return to TV. The statement says that Grant's team looks forward to the full set of facts, 'including those about Mr. Lesnar,' coming out in court. 'For far too long, abuse was allowed to thrive under WWE's leadership. Instead of righting this wrong, WWE has done nothing to ensure those responsible are held accountable. This attempt to sweep misconduct under the rug will backfire. We look forward to the full set of facts, including those about Mr. Lesnar, coming out in a court of law where they belong, but, in the meantime, we refer you back to Janel Grant's updated complaint, which outlines, in detail, the abuse she endured by McMahon and others while employed at WWE.' John Cena Breaks Silence On Brock Lesnar's Shock Return At WWE SummerSlam

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) superstar John Cena broke his silence on Brock Lesnar's shocking return. Brock made his return at WWE SummerSlam following Cena's match against Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Cena dropped his title to Cody in a hard-fought clash and was attacked by Brock just after his match. Interviewed by 'Adam's Apple' immediately after the event, Cena opened up about the surprising return and his feelings towards a long-time rival. 'I've been saying the same thing for 25 years: They deal 'em, I play 'em.' 'I'm just really excited. We've got like 12 of these things left. I think SummerSlam was an indication from the audience where everybody kind of knows we're closing our book. And just because I close my book in December, that doesn't mean the WWE closes its books. They've got to continue their programming going forward. So, they're just trying to make the most exciting shows for the fans and for the dozen of them I got left – they deal 'em, I play 'em,' Cena replied. Earlier, CM Punk revealed that he is glad he found another opportunity to work with Cena before the latter exits the WWE arena. In an interview with ENews, Punk described his camaraderie with John Cena as a "marriage that unfolded on screen that we both needed at the time." "He was the goody two-shoes, Boy Scout, good guy that a lot of places booed out of the building," Punk said. "Then I was this despicable... bad guy, and people seemed to love it." "There's a part of me in my head that regrets stepping out because of what more we could have done," Punk asserted. "But it makes it so much sweeter that I'm back now, and I was able to come in here and work with him one last time," CM Punk added.
