The Futuristic Way Victoria Beckham Might Join The Spice Girls World Tour In 2026

Rarely a season goes by without rumours of a Spice Girls reunion. Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell Horner, Emma Bunton, Mel B and Mel C can Next year, however, marks the 30th anniversary of their debut single, 'Wannabe', so what better time to celebrate (and make a few million each)? Apparently, Geri Halliwell has been back in touch with artist manager Simon Fuller and they are set to meet up in Miami this week to work out a deal, as per The Sun. The rumoured plan is for four of the Spice Girls, Geri, Mel, Mel and Emma, to embark on a global tour next year. Victoria is said to be '90 per cent out of the running'. 'There have been rumours swirling for months, but Geri has always been too busy and had other things on, preventing her from saying yes,' an insider told the publication. 'Unfortunately Victoria has pretty much ruled herself out, but there is still a world in which she could do some sort of avatar appearance or a special one-off thing,' they added. 'She would always want to honour the girls' history.' If that sounds confusing, allow us to explain. The 'avatar appearance' would likely follow in the footsteps of ABBA Voyage's 'ABBAtars'. In the popular Stratford show, the four ABBA members perform as avatars using advanced motion capture and computer-generated imagery and are projected onto an LED screen. More advanced than holograms, the avatars look true to life (or the '70s in ABBA's case) and perform 20 songs up to twice a day in London. If Victoria were to join the Spice Girls world tour in this capacity, it would mean she is projected onto the screen in 3D avatar form, while the other four perform in real life. However, she may well join the band for a one-off performance during the tour too. When Mel C was asked about the big anniversary on Australia's 2Day FM last month she said, 'We have to do something special. Obviously I can't say too much but we are talking about things. Hopefully a nice little world tour!' Talking to The Sunday Times earlier this year, Geri also said: 'We love each other. I love them, I care about them, and we want the best for each other. We shared something so monumental. We've always believed in each other, had trust in each other, which is beautiful.' 'My hope is we come back together as a collective. It's more respectful to come as one, so we'll come as one.' The Spice Girls on tour in 2007. (Photo: IMAGO) The Spice Girls last went on tour in 2019 without Victoria where they sold out 13 stadium tours in the UK and Ireland, reportedly earning £4.4 million each. However, the last time all five members reunited on stage – other than at Victoria's 50th birthday party last year – was in 2012 when they sang at the London Olympics closing ceremony. Prior to this, they joined forces for the Return of the Spice Girls Tour in 2007, a 47-show medley that ran from December 2007 to February 2008. If (hopefully when) the Spice Girls 2026 world tour is announced, you will hear more from us, including how to get tickets, where they are performing and in what futuristic capacity Posh will be joining them on stage. Major Spice Girls tour 'given green light by Victoria' - but there's a twist

The Spice Girls are going to get the Abba Voyage treatment, it is reported. For the uninitiated, this would not entail the real Victoria Beckham, Mel C, Mel B, Emma Bunton, and Geri Halliwell getting up on stage and spicing up our lives, but instead fans would be paying to see digital avatars. The Spice Girls' former manager Simon Fuller has pitched the idea to the band and they are considering it, just as he did with Swedish pop legends Abba nine years ago, The Sun reports. Fans have been waiting for the moment all five women will take to the stage for a big reunion tour, with rumours circulating it could happen in 2026 to coincide with the 30th anniversary of their hit song Wannabe. Partial dreams came true in 2019 when the two Mels, Geri and Emma toured, though Victoria was absent. While VB squashed tour rumours in 2024 saying that it will 'not happen' – it's said she's up for the hologram version. A source told the publication: 'Simon is desperate to have one last hurrah with the Spice Girls and this is his latest idea. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video They explained: 'Touring again looks unlikely – someone like Victoria for example is never going to be a 'working member' of the Spice Girls – so this seems like the best option.' The outlet report the former bandmates were 'receptive' to the idea, continuing: 'Even Victoria said she would be behind it if all of them had agreed. She wouldn't stop it.' There's no wondering why, as the quintet would be making money in their sleep. Smash hit Abba Voyage celebrated its third anniversary on Tuesday night having already raked in over £1.40billion for the UK economy through its shows, attended by over 2million people since opening. The show sees the digital versions of the band – made up of Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad – perform seven times a week in a purpose-built, 3,000-capacity venue in East London. The Spice Girls sold out 13 stadium tours in the UK and Ireland in 2019, reportedly pocketing around £4.4 million each. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video News of a digital avatar Spice Girls tour does check out, as reports came in April that a tour plan was in the works – but Victoria was '90% out'. More Trending This came after a telling interview in March this year, when Geri told The Sunday Times that 'there will be something' coming. 'My hope is we come back together as a collective. It's more respectful to come as one, so we'll come as one,' adding that the five of them do have a WhatsApp group chat. She continued: 'We love each other. I love them, I care about them, and we want the best for each other. We shared something so monumental. We've always believed in each other, had trust in each other, which is beautiful.' With hits including Wannabe, Spice Up Your Life, Say You'll Be There, and Who Do You Think You Are, the group dominated the charts until their devastating split in 2000. Got a story? Spice Girls manager's drastic action amid reunion hopes and 'stubborn' Victoria

Spice Girls' former manager Simon Fuller is reportedly exploring a reunion for the pop group as digital avatars, in a similar fashion to ABBA's successful hologram show Talks are underway for the Spice Girls to make a comeback - but not in the usual way. Their former manager, Simon Fuller, is reportedly exploring the possibility of bringing the iconic group back as digital avatars, following the path set by ABBA's successful hologram residency. Sources have revealed that Fuller has pitched this cutting-edge concept to the band, envisioning lifelike holograms of Geri Halliwell-Horner, Mel B and Mel C, Emma Bunton, and Victoria Beckham performing their greatest hits. Although Victoria opted out of their 2019 tour, insiders say she's open to this new approach as long as all the other members are on board. One insider shared: 'Simon is eager to pull off one final spectacle with the Spice Girls, and this is his latest brainchild. ‌ ‌ "He was the mastermind behind ABBA's groundbreaking digital shows and believes this strategy would suit the Spice Girls perfectly. Touring again seems doubtful - Victoria, for instance, isn't likely to return as a full-time member - so this could be their best chance to reunite.' According to the source, the band responded positively when Simon introduced the idea. 'Even Victoria said she'd support it if everyone else agreed. She wouldn't stand in the way,' they added. Fuller reportedly sees this venture as a way for the group to generate income effortlessly while also connecting with a brand-new generation of fans. 'It's an incredibly exciting concept, and he's confident it can be pulled off,' the inside told The Sun. ‌ The concept echoes the pitch Simon made to ABBA nearly a decade ago, though they eventually went with an even more futuristic show. ABBA's hologram residency in East London has been a huge hit and continues into its third year. Victoria herself has previously voiced support for a virtual Spice Girls residency. When asked on American television in 2022 about the idea, she responded, 'That is a great idea.' ‌ Meanwhile, it was recently reported that Geri had a secret meeting with Simon in Miami, where they discussed plans for a 2026 reunion - marking 30 years since the release of their debut single, 'Wannabe.' Earlier this year, Mel C also hinted at a reunion, saying, 'We have to do something special. Obviously, I can't say too much but we are talking about things. Hopefully a nice little world tour."
