Housefull 5 Movie Review Live Updates: Akshay Kumar film hits screens with two different endings
Housefull 5 Movie Review, Rating and Release Live Updates: The ensemble comedy Housefull 5 has finally hit theatres. With the classic whodunit theme at the centre of its narrative, the movie boasts a cast which even overshadows its previous iterations. Besides Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan, the film also features stars like Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Chitrangada Singh, Fardeen Khan, Chucky Panday, Johny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, and Ranjeet Bedi. Apart from the stellar cast, which will surely help bring in the audience, the filmmakers have another trick up their sleeve with this particular movie. Housefull 5 will have two different endings for the audience, and each will reveal a different killer in the climax. This move can help double down on the numbers, as curious fans might end up going to watch the film twice in different theatres. Many times the filmmakers release a different ending or a deleted scene after the movie's theatrical run, and fans surely take a lot of interest in seeing what scene made it from the drawing board to cameras but couldn't reach the screen. On the other hand, it could also backfire because the identity of the killer will be revealed at the very end; hence, in order to actually experience the two different endings, the film needs to hold the audience together for the entire film two times over. SCREEN spoke to trade experts to gauge Housefull 5's expected box office trajectory, and many believe that Housefull 5 could be the film that could turn things around for Akshay Kumar. Film exhibitor Akkshay Rathie said, 'Akshay's brand value, of course, can pull the audience to theatres. It hasn't been the greatest run in recent times, but it's just a question of one film that will turn the fortune around. It has happened to so many actors. Before Wanted was released, Salman Khan had a few films that didn't do well, but after Wanted, there was no looking back. Even Shahid Kapoor had 10 films that didn't work till Sooraj Barjatiya's Vivah happened; after that, he had a thriving career. For Akshay, it's a question of one film, and hopefully Housefull 5 is that film which might make his fortune turn.' Another trade expert, Joginder Tuteja, highlighted the fact that the previous four Housefull movies have performed tremendously at the box office and that Housefull 5 is very much on its way to repeat history. He said, 'Akshay's brand value when it comes to this franchise is impeccable. Sajid Nadiadwala has delivered four successes in a row with Housefull, so the fifth part is a very hot property. The songs have done well, and the trailer has worked well. Of course, there is an Eid factor, but as seen in the past, holiday or no holiday, if the film is something the audience is waiting for, then it will definitely take a good opening, and that will be the case here as well.' Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, Housefull 5 is already performing better at the box office than Akshay Kumar's previous film Kesari 2. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the courtroom drama only managed Rs 3 crore in advance bookings, including block seats, while Housefull 5 has already crossed the Rs 9 crore mark, with over 2.7 lakh tickets sold. The movie will be hoping to leave a mark during its theatrical run while competing with Mani Ratnam's Thug Life, starring Kamal Haasan, Trisha Krishnan, Silambarasan TR, Abhirami, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Ashok Selvan, Joju George, Nassar and Ali Fazal.

Housefull 5 Box Office Collection Prediction: Will the latest Housefull movie end Akshay Kumar's streak of duds? Film projected to earn Rs 200 crore
Housefull 5 Box Office Collection Prediction: Akshay Kumar may have had a hectic 2024, but it certainly wasn't commercially fruitful. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Khel Khel Mein, Sarfira, Singham Again, the actor had a string of flops. 2025 also didn't start on a positive note for Akshay either, with Sky Force failing to make an impact. However, after tasting success with Kesari 2, Akshay is returning to the big screen with Housefull 5, the latest installment in the hit Housefull franchise. But will this film revive the actor's lost glory at the box office? Will Housefull 5 bring back his good fortune? Or have too many films from Akshay left the actor overexposed to his audience? We at SCREEN spoke to a few trade experts who told us Housefull 5 can be 'that film' which can turn around Akshay's fortune once again, but… 'Does Akshay Kumar's brand value still hold as strongly as it once did?' Sharing his thoughts on the same, film exhibitor Akkshay Rathie said, 'Akshay's brand value, of course, can pull the audience to theatres. For Akshay, it's a question of one film, and hopefully Housefull 5 is that film which might make his fortune turn.' Also Read: Akshay Kumar intervenes at Housefull 5 event as women and children caught in crowd frenzy: 'Aap log ko yahan se jaana padega' Trade expert Joginder Tuteja added, 'Akshay's brand value when it comes to this franchise is impeccable. Sajid Nadiadwala has delivered four successes in a row with Housefull, so the fifth part is a very hot property. The songs have done well, trailer has worked well, of course there is a Eid factor, but as seen in the past, holiday or no holiday, if the film is something the audience is waiting for, then it will definitely take a good opening, and that will be the case here as well.' While it is a fact that Akshay Kumar hasn't had a great run at the box office lately, experts offer a different perspective. When asked if it is fair for makers to tag films as hits when they don't even manage to recover the production budgets, Akkshay Rathie said, 'It's not like Kesari 2 and Sky Force haven't worked. They have done a certain number and earned a lot of respect and love from the audience. Housefull 5 comes from a known commercial property. The franchise has always delivered numbers and earned lots of love and loyalty over its last four editions. And, a recovery of a film happens not just from the box office, but also from the sales of OTT, satellite, etc, which are very often ensured by the stardom and popularity of the lead actor. That is something Akshay Kumar continues to do even today.' 'We should not look at just the box office, but total recoveries of the film through all the avenues of monetization. As long as the people who have invested the money have a positive return, then it's all good,' Akkshay added. Joginder said, 'Who says these films didn't work? Of course, Sky Force did take one of the better openings of the year, and Kesari 2 has done well. For a niche film like that, it's a bona fide success. I am very surprised if one has a perception that these films haven't worked.' While Akshay still seems to have the charm to bring audiences to theaters, the Housefull franchise in itself is also quite powerful. Sharing what is expected from the Housefull 5, Akkshay Rathie said, 'In Housefull 5, it's not just Akshay Kumar's brand equity but also the franchise. Given the trailer, the cast, and the setup, I am very confident that the film will open to great numbers. If the reports are great, and the film is entertaining like the other parts, I am sure it will go on to do great numbers. Imagine a cast that is such an eclectic mix of people, it's one of the most exciting lineups I have seen in a while. I would be fairly disappointed if Housefull 5 doesn't do a minimum of Rs 200 crore at the box office. It has the potential to entertain the audience.' A post shared by SCREEN (@ieentertainment) Don't Miss: Akshay Kumar, Sajid Nadiadwala answer what the actor charged for Housefull 5: 'Acche paaise liye hain par tujhe kyu bataaon?' Joginder Tuteja added, 'People have been waiting for Akshay to come up with a hardcore commercial film, and this will be that. My indication is that after Chhaava, this will be the biggest success of the year so far.' Housefull 5 has been directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Johnny Lever, Fardeen Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, Ranjeet, Chunky Pandey, Nikitin Dheer, Nargis Fakhri, Jacqueline Fernandez, Soundarya Sharma, Sonam Bajwa, Chitrangda Singh, and more. It is slated to be released on June 6 in theaters. Lessons from Hollywood: Robert Kun's mission to grow Kazakh cinema
In this episode of Voices from Central Asia, we meet Robert Kun, an actor and stunt coordinator from Kazakhstan whose journey from sports to Hollywood blockbusters is as remarkable as it is inspiring. He shares how he began as a teenage stuntman on Timur Bekmambetov's Day Watch and honed his skills alongside Igor Tsay at Kun Do studio. With over 20 years of experience, his career took him to global sets with 20th Century Fox, Universal, and Disney, working on high-profile projects like Wanted, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, Ben-Hur, and Major Grom: The Game. Yet for Kun, true success lies not in the credits but in the family values and multicultural roots that shape every project he brings to life. After years abroad, he has returned home to Kazakhstan to bring this experience back to local cinema and help make the country's first action movie for global audiences. Well, that didn't take long... Banksy's newest work, a traffic bollard casting a shadow of a lighthouse with the words "I want to be what you saw in me" written over it, was temporarily defaced once its location was confirmed last weekend. Geoguessers on social media turned out to be right when they speculated that the street art was located in Marseille, in the south of France. And the city, known for its rambunctious spirit, lived up to its cheeky reputation. Une publication partagée par Banksy (@banksy) The artwork was vandalized, with the lighthouse and its poignant message turned into a penis with an added pair of testicles. Hardly very original, but also not entirely surprising. The elusive UK artist has often stated that their works are meant to be reinterpreted - even hijacked – but we're not sure if this is what he / she / they had in mind. The crudely altered lighthouse was promptly restored and shining again within 24 hours of the purple gonad additions. 'I tried to clean up some of the tags that had been made last night, because in fact it takes a while for the anti-graffiti varnish to really work,' explained Agnès Perrone, a heritage decor painter, to AFP. 'They waited until I went to bed, even very late, to come and add a nice pair of bollocks around the lighthouse,' she said, adding: 'I find it very stupid. But at the same time, I'm used to it, I'm from Marseilles: it's a national sport to fight tags here.' The artwork has been gaining traction online and many fans have been flocking to the tunnel near the Catalans beach to admire a more intimate statement from Banksy, whose work is usually characterised by satire or socio-political meaning, often addressing war and the pitfalls of consumerism.

Max George gives one-word health update after major heart surgery
The Wanted singer Max George has shared a heath update following his second major heart surgery after a terrifying health scare last year as he shares how life's changed Max George has issued an update on his recovery after undergoing two major heart surgeries. The Wanted singer, 36, was rushed to hospital in December when his mum noticed he had turned blue. The terrifying health scare saw Max being told his heart was dangerously weak, and he was fitted with a pacemaker just before Christmas. Girlfriend Maisie Smith, 23, has been by Max's side throughout his recovery and was by his side for the second heart operation in February. The additional surgery forced Max to cancel a live show with The Wanted's new two-member lineup, which includes bandmate Siva Kaneswaran. Thankfully, Max has made huge progress in his recovery and has even hit the road on tour with Maisie. The pair toured the UK in Jeff Wayne's The War of the Worlds and Max is also returning to the stage with Siva. In an update, Max explained his is now feeling "great". "It's probably taken me until about the last two weeks to almost fully recover where I feel normal," he told Heat magazine. "When I wake up in the morning, my energy's much higher now. I'm getting there. It's taken a while, but I feel really good." Bandmate Siva added: "You've come a long way. I'm very proud of you. You should have seen him in January or February, we're very lucky that he's recovered very fast... I'd let him know if he was lagging!" Max admitted his theatre tour was "tiring" because he was still in recovery. "It was more stubbornness than anything because I really wanted to experience doing that show with Maisie so I was going to do it no matter what." The singer insisted he is now in a "really, really good position" regarding his health and is ready for his tour with Siva. "I'm just ready for thgis now and it feels so natural that, even when I'm not 100% I still feel great doing it," he said. The Wanted, is made up of Max, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Nathan Sykes and late Tom Parker who tragically died in 2022 at the age of 33 following a cancer battle. However, Max has been performing under a spin-off outfit since last year. Joined by Siva to form The Wanted 2.0, Max announced last year that he would be hitting the road with his bandmate to entertain fans across North America as well as the UK. Due to his health, Max had a setback as he had to undergo a second emergency surgery after his pacemaker was fitted incorrectly. He shared that he had to go to hospital again to fix the issues, and admitted that he was going through a 'pretty rough time.' The singer shared a photo of himself lying in a hospital bed with headphones on, with wires and monitors attached to his body. He then followed up with himself in a bathroom after the second surgery, showing a fresh scar on his chest underneath a tattoo of his late bandmate Tom Parker 's date of birth. Alongside the photo, Max wrote: 'A few weeks ago I had to go back into hospital after having some physical symptoms in my chest. It turned out that one of the leads was placed too far into my heart. The second surgery took about 2 hours. Luckily, it was a success and they kindly let me listen to Oasis the whole time. "It's been a setback, but it's just one of those things. I've had a few complications the last couple of months but I'm having loads of tests to make sure everything is all good. "It can take a few weeks / months for the inflammation of my heart to subside (myocarditis) but I'm sure I'll be back on top form in no time! Thanks everyone for all your lovely messages and support through what's been a pretty rough time. Means a lot.'
