FOX 44 earns WeatheRate seal of approval for seven straight years
CENTRAL TEXAS (FOX 44) – We at KWKT FOX 44 News are super-excited to announced that we have earned the WeatheRate seal of approval for 'Most Accurate in Waco' for SEVEN YEARS IN A ROW!
According to the official WeatheRate website, its employees review the four-day forecasts from local TV stations in major U.S. metropolitan areas. WeatheRate also obtains local observed weather data. This forecast and observed weather data are fed into WeatherRate's patented software, WeatherTracker II, which compares the forecast with the actual observed conditions. Through a series of mathematical calculations, WeatherRate determines which TV stations have the best daily, weekly and monthly accuracy.
WeatheRate verifies high and low temperatures, sky cover, precipitation, snow accumulation, wind and fog. Accuracy in predicting severe weather and timing of precipitation also comes into play.
