Tanisha told The Sun: "I've been working with Adam now for five years and he is amazing. [check] "I think he wants to go out and see the big wide world and he will do absolutely amazing. "His exit is not too unusual but it is quite sad for Asha. "She's feeling very... I mean, she is losing her twin brother. I don't want him to go." The Sun were the first to exclusively reveal that Adam had decided to walk away from the soap earlier this year amid a mass cast exodus at the soap. A source said at the time: "He's telling people he's quit, not because he's had enough of the show but his character hasn't had any decent storylines for ages. "He's had loads of new opportunities coming his way so he already feels like he's made the right decision." But although Aadi will be waving goodbye to Weatherfield, Asha is sticking around with Tanisha confirming to The Sun that viewers will get to see her journey as a paramedic grow in an upcoming storyline. She also revealed that fans will get to see her connections within the NHS and how she leans on fellow staff members for support amid a tough time. Emmerdale's Amy Walsh admits she took mass soap axing 'personally' Tanisha said: "I have got a story coming up that is very big but also very sad and heart-wrenching and heartstopping. "I think we'll see how much they [Asha and her colleagues] have to support each other and how they make it work. "They are with each other 12 hours a day - we do see a friendship there which is really nice and see how much they have to support each other to make it work. "It will be nice to finally see a friendship there and see who is mentoring her and who she is learning from and we are going to get to see quite a bit of that which i'm really looking forward too." 4 Tanisha also discussed her upcoming stories on the soap Credit: PA

Corrie's Jason Grimshaw beds married resident just 24 hours after Ryan Thomas returns in twisted revenge scheme

CORONATION Street hunk Jason Grimshaw wasted no time making waves - hopping into bed with a married resident just a day after his dramatic return to Weatherfield. The shock fling was all part of a revenge plot which Jason (Ryan Thomas) got caught up in. 5 5 Despite being away from the cobbles for nine years, Jason flirting game was still intact as he continued to woo the residents in Weatherfield. Monday's episode of Coronation Street saw Jason flirt with Danielle (Natalie Ann Jamieson) in the Rovers Return pub - not knowing she was the wife of Todd's new boyfriend Theo Silverton (James Cartwright). When Danielle learned Jason was Todd's (Gareth Pierce) brother, she wasted no time in getting payback on Todd for stealing her husband and breaking up her family. The pair headed back to Eileen's (Sue Cleaver) house for a steamy afternoon romp. But when they headed downstairs half dressed... Todd, Theo, Eileen and George (Tony Maudsley) were left gobsmacked. Danielle turned to Theo and said: "Surprise!" A confused Jason asked: "Do you know each other?" And a outraged Todd replied: "She's his wife!" Eileen held her head in her hands as the brothers squared up to each other and squabbled over who the biggest embarrassment in the family was. But they later apologised, admitted they're both failures and Todd urged his brother to go back to Thailand before he got swept into anymore dramas. Coronation Street and Emmerdale humiliated at British Soap Awards as rival soap wins EIGHT gongs Meanwhile, Danielle took Theo's wedding ring and dropped it in the drain to prove their marriage was over for good. Later, Jason opened up to his mum about his bar going up for sale in Thailand. He said he needed £40k or he will be unemployed and homeless. Eileen suggested using Julie's (Katy Cavanagh) life insurance money, while Jason urged her to come with him to Thailand and be his business partner. The Sun revealed that Sue will be departing from the ITV soap after 25 years - as she plans to pursue new acting projects. She said: 'I've had 25 privileged years of working on Coronation Street. 'The door is still firmly open but as I reached my 60th year, I decided it was time to embrace change, look for new adventures and live fearlessly.' Meanwhile, actor Ryan Thomas said he wanted to pay the soap that made him famous back. He said: 'It was a mix of nostalgia and gratitude for what the show has done for me. When they told me Eileen was leaving, it felt right to be a part of that storyline for her and revisit where it all started.' Triple Coronation Street exit shock as end of an era is confirmed

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video For 25 years Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) has been a fixture in Coronation Street. The popular character has been through a huge amount of drama in that time, including raising two sons, being mother hen to numerous lodgers at number 11, enjoying/enduring a rivalry with Gail Platt (Helen Worth) and being married to a killer. But with Sue Cleaver having taken the decision to 'Embrace change, look for new adventures and live fearlessly' by moving on from the soap, Eileen's exit is fast approaching. Her final storyline saw the return of Katy Cavanagh as Eileen's sister Julie Carp. It was soon revealed that Julie was dealing with a terminal illness and didn't have long to live, and viewers have recently seen the sad scenes where Eileen returned to her sister with a cup of tea while they were on a day out to a beauty spot, only to find that Julie had died while she was gone. Julie's funeral brought another returnee in the form of Ryan Thomas as Eileen's son Jason. And in upcoming episodes we'll see Jason make Eileen a tempting offer. He's been living in Thailand since he left Weatherfield, and he suggests that Eileen could come back with him and be his business partner. Eileen's immediate reaction is that her partner, George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley), would never want to move to Thailand. Eileen has been struggling with her feelings for George recently, at one moment not sure she loves him but the next moment saying that she wants her future to be with him. Julie certainly thought that Eileen was selling herself short by settling for a relationship with George. But it seems that her decision about whether to accept Jason's offer hinges on George and he surprises her, saying that he's prepared to move his life to the other side of the world to be with her. In fact he's booked them a holiday to Thailand – leaving the very next day – so they can see if life there would suit them. Eileen's other son, Todd (Gareth Pierce) has recently embarked on a relationship with a man called Theo (James Cartwright), who's been struggling with his sexuality. Theo's daughter Millie has been staying at Eileen's briefly, and when she has to go home she tells Theo she wants him to move beck in with her and her mum. More Trending Theo replies that he wants to be with Todd and can't live a lie any more. His words give Eileen cause to reflect again about her feelings for George and whether she's settling for a relationship she's not really feeling. Coronation Street budget cuts ‘so obvious' say fans as they spot huge change to Audrey's salon – did you see it?

FANS of Coronation Street have said that the budget cuts have become 'so obvious' to see on-screen. Longtime viewers of the ITV soap have spotted a huge change to the set of Audrey's salon. 6 6 6 Helen Worth previously departed Coronation Street last year after five decades in the role as Gail Platt. However, her on-screen family still remains in Weatherfield as her mother Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) still runs the salon. She hires two members of staff, her grandson David (Jack P. Shepherd) and Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) to run the shop. However, one keen viewer took to social media fan forum site Reddit as they noted that the salon nearly always appears to be practically deserted by its once loyal customer base. In a thread titled, 'The salon is always empty!' the user wrote: "Why was Audrey hiring in the salon? "There's always no one there. I remember there used to be a good few people sitting in their getting their hair done back in the day. "I'm playing catchup so I'm way behind. Watching April episodes. This just tickled me. lol." Viewers think that this is all due to the budget cuts at ITV as execs can no longer afford to pay as many guest actors and extras. Another user claimed: "Budget-cuts, most-probably, the way ITV's struggling now. "They probably can't afford guest-characters to fill up the space quite as much as they used to." While someone else commented: "Oh wow. Things must be bad. It's sad because it just doesn't look realistic. It's always empty." Meanwhile, more viewers noticed that the barber shop on Victoria Street called Trim Up North has also disappeared from screens. On the same thread another viewer asked: "What happened to trim up north? That set looked more modern." A second replied: "Yes. That seems to have just disappeared. Unless I missed a storyline about it." Corrie cash crisis: shock exits for 2025 ITV bosses are locked in a battle to save the cash-strapped soap. This means that a number of stars have either been axed from or have abandoned the long-running serial drama. Colson Smith - Craig Tinker The character of Craig Tinker has been axed by bosses after 14 years. We revealed that she will bow out of the ITV soap later this year after four years on-screen. Charlotte told sources that she's hungry to see what other opportunities await. Shelley King - Yasmeen Metcalfe The actress has played Yasmeen Metcalfe on the cobbles for the past 11 years and we revealed in January that she finished filming her final scenes. This follows the departure of her on-screen partner Stu Carpenter. As a third stated: "I think it closed permanently in January 2023 Could be wrong but sure I remember something along those lInes." Bosses previously decided to slash the number of established characters in scenes taking place in the iconic Rovers Return pub in a bid to reportedly claw back cash. Every time actors appear on-screen, they are due a per-episode fee, which can mount up for actors on lucrative deals. The cash crisis at ITV also prompted an exodus of huge cast members from the hit soap. Longtime stars such as Sue Cleaver, Colson Smith, Shelley King, and Sue Devaney have either quit or were forced to leave the cash-strapped serial drama. This comes as ITV has slashed both Corrie and Emmerdale to five 30-minute episodes per week, rather than six. 6 6 6
