Teens sought after stolen SUV crashes in Langford B.C.

Police are now seeking the public's help identifying the suspects as the investigation continues. (Handout) Mounties in Langford, B.C., are searching for a group of teenage suspects after a vehicle was allegedly stolen and crashed into a retaining wall, causing significant damage. A statement from the West Shore RCMP says officers responded to the collision at approximately 11 p.m. Thursday. Officers reported that a stolen grey 2004 GMC Jimmy had slammed into a brick wall in front of an apartment building in the 2600 block of Peatt Road. 'The vehicle stopped short of crashing into the multi-unit dwelling at this location,' said Cpl. Nancy Saggar, in the statement. 'However, it did cause significant damage to the retaining wall and the vehicle itself.' Witnesses reportedly told investigators that several suspects – described as group of between two and four youths aged 15 to 20 – were seen exiting the vehicle after the crash and running south on Peatt Road. Police are now seeking the public's help identifying the suspects as the investigation continues. Anyone with information or video of the area taken between 10 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. is asked to contact the West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264.

The suspect vehicle in the first theft was an 'early 2000s' model two-door F150 with 'a black folding Tonneau cover, a Harley Davidson sticker on the left side of the tailgate and writing on the box of the truck,' police said. Police arrived shortly before midnight on Tuesday to find a grey Ford F350 and a red Dodge Ram still in the parking lot.
