EXCLUSIVE Watch Diane Morgan take BRUTAL swipe at Who Do You Think You Are producers in BBC first

Diane Morgan takes a catty swipe at the Who Do You Think You Are producers in the next episode of the BBC show. Tuesday's instalment of the programme will see the comedian and actress, 49, explore her father's side of the family after he passed away six years ago. In an exclusive first look obtained by MailOnline, Diane certainly shows off her funny side as she chats to the camera about taking part in the programme, and brings up some of her work that has poked fun at the series. Sitting on a brown leather sofa, she cheekily says: 'This is what I can't understand about any of those shows, like this one, where people go on a journey, you know, you'd think people would stop using those tropes. 'Even the tiny little things like walking past the camera...' A number of shots of her doing exactly that then play out. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. She continues: 'I wonder how much wondering aimlessly I'll be doing in this...' Back at the sofa, Diane says: 'So I wrote this comedy called Mandy, about this woman who can't hold a job down, in one episode she goes on Who Are You, Do You Think?... 'Loosely based on Who Do You Think You Are.' As the actress bursts into laughter, a scene from the programme appears, Diane's character Mandy can be seen in a jacuzzi Deborah Meaden. She continues to say: 'But I never thought in a million years, I thought you'd ask me to be on it.' The clip ends with the star taking her pooch for a walk. Diane tells her dog: 'Come on Bob. Bob, we're going to go to the park! You love the park!' As Bob refuses to move, Diane says: 'I knew he'd steal this. Come on Bob! 'Bob. Come on Bob.' She later picks him up and confesses: 'He's just very headstrong...' Back in March the Beeb confirmed the return of Who Do You Think You Are? with a Strictly star, soap legend and Hollywood icon in the new celeb-filled series. The genealogy show, which follows famous faces as they find out about their family tree, hit our screens on the Beeb in 2004 and has had 177 episodes over 20 seasons. The likes of Andrew Garfield, Diane Morgan, Mushal Husian, Ross Kemp, Aisling Bea, Will Young, Fred Siriex and Layton Williams explore their family history. Last week singer Will made a shocking discovery that he's related to King Edward I. Will learnt that Edward I is his 20 times great grandfather, with the monarch ruling from 1272 to 1307. After discovering the royal link, Will says: 'No? Edward the First! No? You are joking? You have made it up. That's unbelievable. This is just amazing. 'I cannot believe it. It is wonderful. Being related to a king, will it change my behaviour? I mean the short answer is Yes. 'What you are beholding is essentially a future despot. You see Mr Nice Guy. Now get ready for Mr Nasty.'

Katherine Ryan pregnant with fourth child as she shows off growing bump

The comedian is expecting her third baby with husband Bobby Kootstra, a spokesperson confirmed. Katherine Ryan has confirmed she's pregnant with her fourth child. The comedian is already mum to Violet, 15, three-year-old son Fred and Fenna, two. Katherine shares her youngest kids with childhood sweetheart Bobby Kootstra, who she reconnected with during filming for BBC's Who Do You Think You Are. Fans started becoming convinced the funny woman, 41, was expecting again after some hints on Violet's TikTok last week and on Monday this week, she attended an event in London and couldn't hide a burgeoning baby bump. ‌ The Canadian star looked glowing as she stunned in a tight dress which showed off all her curves - and bump - as she took to the red carpet for the Ageing and Biohacking: The Science of Immortality event at SXSW in the capital. She then took to the stage to give a speech, as writes the Mirror. ‌ The happy health news comes just months after the star revealed that she had been diagnosed with a cancerous mole on her arm after previously having melanoma when she was younger. She said on her podcast: "The mole kept changing, I know a lot about melanoma, I had stage two melanoma as a very young woman - aged 21 - on my leg, I've spoken about that before. But even when he looked at it, he was like, 'it's not melanoma, it's totally fine, I will do a shave and send it away for testing'." Katherine pushed for medics to take a closer look despite being told she had nothing to worry about. Soon after the doctor reassured Katherine once more that it was likely not melanoma, she was called back with the confirmation that it was cancerous. The Netflix Duchess star has been open about her desire for a fourth child and spoke about her feelings on her fertility on her U&W show At Home With Katherine Ryan. She said: "It's not that surprising that over-40 women have fewer follicles than we once did. ‌ "But we talk a lot about male fertility as well, which is on a steep decline. But I would still like a fourth baby. We are so blessed to have the kids that we do have. Having children is not for everyone, but I personally really like making people. I think it's a superpower, if you can do it." Katherine and Bobby have suffered three miscarriages since he moved to the UK from Canada after they rekindled their teenage romance in 2018 when she returned to Canada to film Who Do You Think You Are? She previously raised Violet on her own after becoming a single mum at 25. She told OK! Magazine last year: "I'm old. I used to think I was going to be the babies' dad because I'm working but actually I'm like their grandmother. ‌ "My back hurts, sometimes I give them treats. I'm like a fun grandma." She went on: "We've always gotten pregnant with the babies quite quickly. I've been pregnant five times in five years, but that also means I've had three miscarriages in five years and the likelihood of that increases as you get older. "You have to find a balance between what you can personally stand and risks you're willing to take." Katherine has made it clear that surrogacy isn't for her. ‌ "It's controversial to say but I wouldn't want that labour – both literal and also the workload – to fall on another woman," she said. "I think surrogacy is wonderful. It's beautiful for people who are really eager to offer it and for couples who need it but for me, I think it would be exploitative." Katherine also spoke about how having children with Bobby has been different to when she was a single parent. "Now Bobby has come into the picture, the babies are here and everyone is well supported because we're a family unit," she explained. "I think arguably it's better for the children to have siblings and a dad at home, but Violet and I were really happy and I like to intensely love one thing or one person."

Aisling Bea struggles with family's 'shameful' past in Who Do You Think You Are

Aisling Bea revealed that she is 'ashamed' of her family history in tonight's episode of Who Do You Think You Are? The comedian and actress took a journey through her great-grandfather's history and discovered stories of female resilience in her family's past. She also found moments of genuine connection in her family tree as she discovered relatives who fought for Irish independence and culture. However, during tonight's instalment of the BBC show that sees celebrity discover their heritage, historian Dr Richard McMahon told Aisling something slightly darker about her family. The historian spoke to the Kildare comedian about her great-grandmother Martha Sheehy, who lived during the Irish famine. Aisling discovered that by the end of the famine, Martha's estate went from being 40 acres to 115. Richard explained: 'The family have a larger farm by the end of the famine then they had pre famine Ireland.' This prompted Aisling to ask: 'So during this devastating period in Irish history, which would have such a long terrible legacy for all of us afterwards, how does someone come to have more land if owned than renting so soon after the famine?' Richard replied: 'During the famine landlords would have evicted 100,000s of people off the land and when they are moved of the land, the land is taken over by farmers like your great great great grandmother Martha.' As Aisling tried to understand this, she said 'while she might not be evicting them, she maybe using it as an opportune moment'. Richard responded by saying how many people 'got larger farms on the back of people getting moved off the land'. Followning this, Aisling could be seen getting upset, before she said: 'That is hard to hear. I'll be honest. 'Having spent all our childhood learning about the Irish famine in our history classes, anyone who, any terrible situation profited. 'It does make me feel a little bit shameful to be honest.' The latest series of Who Do You Think You Are will see the likes of Andrew Garfield, Diane Morgan, Mushal Husian and Ross Kemp explore their family history. Last week, Layton Williams broke down in tears as he learned about his enslaved ancestors. The actor and theatre star, 30, was the latest star to appear on the beloved ancestry show to learn about his family tree, which originated from London and Jamaica. Layton cried at the end of the episode, after learning about his ancestors who were enslaved, with some forcibly moved from Africa to Jamaica. More Trending 'I'm proud to have come from people who went through that, but came through the other side,' he said through tears. 'It's really beautiful and it's important that we don't forget, because it's real and it happened and it was sad, and I'm sure it was awful, but we've made it here. 'I will look back at this experience for sure and be really happy and really proud of the family that came before me.' View More » Who Do You Think You Are? airs on BBC One at 9pm tonight.
