Twins Continue Hot Streak, Make History in Win Against Guardians

The three-game series between the Cleveland Guardians and the Minnesota Twins has been a strange one, to say the least. In a make-up game delayed from the night of Monday, May 19, due to inclement weather, the Guardians and Twins resumed the same game on Wednesday. Advertisement As the bad weather persisted into Tuesday, that game was also rescheduled to Wednesday afternoon and started just 30 minutes after the conclusion of the resumed game. With all of this being said, the conclusion of the first make-up game had an exciting ending with some history that was made. In a tie game that headed into the ninth inning, Twins' second baseman Kody Clemens hit a double into center field that brought pinch-runner Ryan Fitzgerald home from second. The walk-off double secured the win for the Twins and marked their 10th straight victory at home, a streak that began on April 25 against the Los Angeles Angels. Just a month ago, Minnesota had a record of 7-15 and were struggling to put wins together. Even without stars Carlos Correa and Byron Buxton, the Twins have gone 19-6 over their last 25 games and climbed to second place in the AL Central, trailing only the MLB-best Detroit Tigers. Although there's a lot of season left, it seems that the Twins have found their rhythm and will look to continue to win games. BGT fans all issue complaint over Wildcard after 'ridiculous' rule change

The 2025 final of Britain's Got Talent kicked off on ITV1 tonight with presenters Ant and Dec revealing which act had returned to the competition as this year's Wildcard act Britain's Got Talent viewers have been left torn over this year's Wildcard act as the 2025 final kicked off on ITV. After months of auditions and live shows, the latest series of BGT comes to an end tonight in the supersized live final. Just minutes into the final, however, hosts Ant and Dec announced that Welsh singing duo Han and Fran had been chosen by the judges as the Wildcard act after narrowly missing out on a place in the final during last weekend's live show. ‌ The singing pair were first to take to the stage tonight, singing a mega-mix of ABBA songs; however, viewers were left divided over whether they were the right pick for the Wildcard. ‌ "Can't believe the wildcard choice, some brilliant acts could have been picked over them #BGTFinal," one viewer wrote. Another said on X, formerly known as Twitter: "So many better acts should've been chosen as the wild card. #BGT." ‌ Not all viewers were unimpressed, however, with many praising the duo. "VERY happy with this year's wildcard - fun, not 'up themselves' & absolutely British! #BritainsGotTalent #BGT," one fan tweeted. Another said: "I'm kinda happy Han & Fran got the wildcard I quite liked them. But I do agree that there were better acts who deserved it over them. #BGT." A third wrote: "Han and Fran being the wildcard is the campest thing ever I'm obsessed! #bgt." ‌ After Han and Fran's performance, judge Simon Cowell spoke about how they chose the duo as their Wildcard pick as the audience loved them - leading to some confusion among the viewers online. "Who picked the wildcard? Judges or the public? #BritainsGotTalent #BGT," one asked. However, some called for a change to the Wildcard rule, proposing that it should be the viewers who get to choose the returning act and not the judges. "Why can't the audience have a wild card? Ridiculous #bgt." Tonight's final has so far seen dance group Ping Pong Pang and singer Stacey Leadbeatter perform, with eight more acts set to take to the stage. However, the judges were the first to make their debut in the final - with Amanda Holden wowing the crowd and audience at home with her stunning white gown. Earlier today, many fans were convinced that they had worked out who was set to win this year's final after the bookies revealed that Hear Our Voice - a choir made up of victims of the Post Office Horizon scandal - were the favourite.

Mandatory Credit: Nathan Ray Seebeck-USA TODAY Sports The Texas Rangers have fired offensive coordinator Donnie Ecker, the team announced on Sunday. Ecker was in his fourth season with the Rangers and had been a coach since the 2021 season, and was a member of the 2023 team that won their first World Series in franchise history. Advertisement The team's offense has struggled this season, ranking in the bottom 10 in hits (No. 26 ), runs scored (No. 29), and batting average (No. 26), and has only scored more than two runs twice in the last 10 games, including an 8-1 victory Sunday over the Seattle Mariners. In a statement, President of Baseball Operations Chris Young thanked Ecker for his time with the team but said it was time to make a change. 'After lengthy discussions and deliberations, we feel now is the appropriate time to provide our hitters with a new voice as we pursue goals of winning the division and reaching the postseason,' said Young. 'We are extremely grateful to Donnie for all that he has accomplished here with the Rangers, including his role in the club's 2023 World Series championship. We wish him the best.' The team is expected to address the structure of the club's hitting staff in the coming days.

2025 Green Bay Packers Schedule: Win-loss record prediction and full list of games

With the 2025 NFL schedule officially released, it's time to analyze each team's prospects heading into the NFL season. Check out the full 2025 Green Bay Packers schedule as well as a record prediction: 2025 Green Bay Packers Schedule Week 1 (Sun, Sep 7): vs Detroit Lions (4:25 PM ET – CBS) Week 2 (Thu, Sep 11): vs Washington Commanders (8:15 PM ET – Prime Video) Week 3 (Sun, Sep 21): @ Cleveland Browns (1:00 PM ET – FOX) Week 4 (Sun, Sep 28): @ Dallas Cowboys (8:20 PM ET – NBC) Week 5: BYE WEEK Week 6 (Sun, Oct 12): vs Cincinnati Bengals (4:25 PM ET – CBS) Week 7 (Sun, Oct 19): vs Arizona Cardinals (4:25 PM ET – FOX) Week 8 (Sun, Oct 26): @ Pittsburgh Steelers (8:20 PM ET – NBC) Week 9 (Sun, Nov 2): vs Carolina Panthers (1:00 PM ET – FOX) Week 10 (Mon, Nov 10): vs Philadelphia Eagles (8:15 PM ET – ABC/ESPN) Week 11 (Sun, Nov 16): @ New York Giants (1:00 PM ET – FOX) Week 12 (Sun, Nov 23): vs Minnesota Vikings (1:00 PM ET – FOX) Week 13 (Thu, Nov 27): @ Detroit Lions (1:00 PM ET – FOX) Week 14 (Sun, Dec 7): vs Chicago Bears (1:00 PM ET – FOX) Week 15 (Sun, Dec 14): @ Denver Broncos (4:25 PM ET – CBS) Week 16 (Sat, Dec 20): @ Chicago Bears (Time TBD – FOX) Week 17 (TBD): vs Baltimore Ravens (Time & TV TBD) Week 18 (TBD): @ Minnesota Vikings (Time & TV TBD) The NFL schedule will fully be released later tonight and the Kansas City Chiefs are notably playing on both Thanksgiving and Christmas this season. They are the first team since the Pittsburgh Steelers since 2016 to play on both holidays. This raises the topic of whether they are the new America's Team instead of the Dallas Cowboys. Nick Wright explains how his "polarizing" Chiefs overtook the Cowboys as America's Team. Chris Broussard, Kevin Wildes and Greg Jennings chime in. Green Bay Packers 2025 Record Prediction Carmen Vitali : I don't see a significant change for the Packers, and that's a good thing. It should be enough to again get them into the playoffs, even if it's via Wildcard. The schedule is really going to be an uphill battle with the NFC North having to play the AFC North and NFC East this season in an absolute gauntlet. On top of that, the Packers get Carolina, Arizona and Denver, all of which should be at the very least respectable if not downright good in 2025. With the additions along the offensive line and an actual first-round receiver for the first time since Jordy Nelson in 2008, quarterback Jordan Love should have the means to stay healthy and be productive. The defense has to take another step forward, especially in the pass rush, if it wants to contend. But the Packers are the most stable organization in this division, if not the conference. They're going to be a tough out, regardless. Record Prediction: 10-7 recommended Get more from National Football League Follow your favorites to get information about games, news and more in this topic

FPL Gameweek 35: dropping Mohamed Salah, Bukayo Saka among key calls to be made this week

If you were among the one million Fantasy Premier League managers who activated their Free Hit chip in Gameweek 34, you are most likely enjoying a significant green arrow. Advertisement But the action is not over, as Nottingham Forest host Brentford on Thursday evening, meaning if you do not have players from those sides, your current ranking is likely to take a hit. Friday's deadline means managers have important decisions to make soon, including whether to drop big names such as Liverpool's Mohamed Salah (£13.8m) and Arsenal's Bukayo Saka (£10.5m). Gameweek 34 review Gameweek 34's blanks for Arsenal, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Manchester City saw the fifth-highest usage of the Free Hit chip in FPL history, and a significant number of managers also used their Wildcard. The average points scored for the week was 38, but that would have been brought down by the number of inactive managers who automatically fielded teams with barely any players. Brentford's Yoane Wissa (right) and Bryan Mbeumo are worthwhile choices this week. Photo: Reuters Those who went for differentials saw good returns. Wolves' Matheus Cunha (£7.0m) got two goals and an assist, Kieran Trippier (£5.7m) – whom I have been telling you to buy for weeks now – also scored 15 points and is owned by only 5.8 per cent of players. Advertisement In total, I scored 79 points and still have Bryan Mbeumo (£8.1m) for Brentford on Thursday. I am 130,000 in the world, a rise of 20,000 places from last week.
