Man dies in crash between four motorbikes and car

A motorcyclist has died and three others are seriously injured following a crash between four motorbikes and a car in Wiltshire. Wiltshire Police said the collision happened on the A36 at Knook, near Warminster, at about 10:30 BST on Saturday. The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 60s, died as a result of his injuries, while the other three remain in hospital. A road closure between Deptford and Heytesbury will remain in place into the early hours of Sunday, the force said. Drivers have been advised to seek alternative routes and avoid the area. A serious multi-vehicle car crash has forced the closure of a major road as three air ambulances reportedly attended the scene. Wiltshire Police said officers were dealing with the serious road traffic collision on the A36 in Knook, Warminster, on Saturday morning. The force said the road was closed in both directions from Heytesbury to Deptford and was expected to remain shut for several hours. Drivers were advised to avoid the area and travel via alternative routes. National Highways said its service providers were also on the scene, as traffic is diverted due to what it described as a multi-vehicle collision. The BBC reported Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance, Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and Great Western Air Ambulance were all in attendance.

Man's body found in canal

The body of a man has been found. Emergency services were called to the scene at the canal near Horton Avenue in Devizes shortly before 7pm on Thursday, May 30. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Wiltshire Police said the man's family have been informed. A spokesperson for the force said: 'While formal identification has not yet taken place, our thoughts are with his family at this incredibly difficult time.' Officers said there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
