Eminem Proves Why He's the Greatest With Another Impossible Rhyme
Eminem famously rhymed the word "orange" with "door hinge" during a 2010 interview with Anderson Cooper. And he's just done it again. "There's no word in English that rhymes with 'silver,'" X account UberFacts tweeted on August 11. Another user called out the "Without Me" artist, writing, "You have 24 hours!" Challenge accepted. "Silver pilfer kill fer Gilbert's still hurts steel shirts Bill Burr milf word off kilter no filter chill brrrr feel burn still slur will stir Trent dilfer Val kilmer Still third shield her he'll squirt Steven Spielberg Lil twerp Wilshire She'll purr Kill birds milk curd feel worth Real nerd Stans documentary I liked your film sir," Em -- real name Marshall Mathers -- tweeted the following day. The comments section was flooded with praise for the Detroit native's creativity. "My goat can make anything rhyme," one user responded. "Bro's a walking dictionary," another wrote with a goat emoji. "Shakespeare aint got shi on my boy," a third added. Eminem opened up about his success in a 2022 essay with XXL magazine, saying "to have fans is a dream come true." "It's also so bizarre and so surreal. Even as I sit here now, I still trip out in my head about how it got to this level. All I ever really wanted to do was to be a respected MC. To make enough money to survive, so that I wouldn't have to work a regular job," he wrote. "That ties into my competitive spirit, and I don't know when that's going to go away, if ever. That's probably my biggest weapon mixed with lyricism." The rapper recently produced a documentary centered around his iconic single "Stan," which hits streaming later this month. Halsey abruptly cancels Istanbul show, leaving fans boiling over ruined travel plans: ‘So disappointed'
Halsey fans are not happy. The 'Ghost' singer, who uses 'she/they' pronouns, took to social media Thursday to announce that her Aug. 28 show in Istanbul, Turkey, has been canceled. 'I'm heartbroken to share that the show in Istanbul won't be happening,' Halsey, 30, whose real name is Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, wrote on her Instagram Story. 8 Halsey performs at the Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre in Phoenix, Arizona, on May 12, 2025. Instagram/@halsey 'There were logistical limitations that presented themselves recently, making it impossible to move forward in a way that would deliver the show – and the safe, fun experience – you deserve,' the pop star continued. Despite being 'so excited' about the concert for months, the 'Without Me' singer and her team were forced to cancel the upcoming Istanbul performance after trying 'every option to give you the experience you deserve.' 'I love performing in Turkiye and it's very important to me to come back in the future and do it right,' Halsey ended her message. 'Refunds will be available at point of purchase.' 8 Halsey performs a show at the Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre in Phoenix, Arizona, on May 12, 2025. 'Canceling the Istanbul concert exactly two weeks before the show, when everyone had already bought their hotel and flight tickets, was one of the most unprofessional things you've done in your career,' one jilted fan wrote on X. 'You could have done a simple show and respect us.' 'For us is important to see you perform, even in a small venue with no light other than the iPhone flash, and also not to lose our money we paid on the plane tickets,' added another. 'You can't cancel a show 2 weeks ahead due to 'logistical limitations.'' 8 Halsey performing at the Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre in Phoenix, Arizona, on May 12, 2025. However, others came to the 'Americana' star's defense and argued that the 'Graveyard' singer wouldn't have canceled the gig if it wasn't absolutely necessary. 'Halsey's fans don't deserve her. It's valid to be disappointed when a show is cancelled but h rarely cancels anything, and she stated they tried everything they could to make it work,' one fan tweeted. 8 The Grammy-nominated singer performing at the Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre in Phoenix, Arizona, on May 12, 2025. 'Halsey has every right to want their art presented and experienced a certain way and if the show can't be done the way they want it done they have every right to cancel y'all are entitled as f–k,' commented another. The 'Manic' artist has faced several health woes in recent years. 8 The 'Manic' artist at the Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre in Phoenix, Arizona, on May 12, 2025. Eminem recalls crying after missing daughter's guitar recital in 2007 due to drug overdose in his new documentary Stans
Popular American rapper Eminem is revisiting one of the darkest periods of his life in his recently documentary Stans. The rapper, known for hits like Mockingbird and Without Me, gets personal about his struggle with addiction, the overdose that nearly ended his life in 2007, and the emotional moments that finally pushed him to seek help. Eminem saw the video of his daughter's first recital 'I got into this vicious cycle of, 'I'm depressed so I need more pills,' and then your tolerance gets so high that you end up overdosing,' he recalled in the film. Reflecting on the aftermath, he says, 'I woke up in the hospital and I didn't know what the f**k happened. It seemed like I fell asleep, and I woke up with tubes in me and s**t. I wanted to get up. I couldn't move.' Once back home, he found himself slipping again. 'After the overdose, I came home going, 'Yo, bro, I need something.'' He explains that he reached a terrifying conclusion: 'I felt like I was going to die if I don't do something.' But the moment that truly broke him came when he missed an important event in his daughter Hailie Jade's life. 'I had this video that they brought me because I missed Hailie's first guitar recital,' he says. 'The amount of guilt that I felt, I cried when I saw it because I was like, 'Oh my God, I missed that.'' That regret led to a powerful reckoning, 'Do you want to miss everything? If you can't do it for yourself... then at least do it for them,' Eminem says in the documentary. Eminem has been sober since April 2008, and he chronicled the beginning of that journey in his 2009 album Relapse. In April this year, he marked 16 years of sobriety with a celebratory Instagram post showing his recovery chip.

Originally appeared on E! Online Welcome to the Eminem show. Indeed, all eyes were on the 'Without Me' rapper when he made a surprise appearance at the New York City premiere of his documentary film, Stan, on August 6. Sporting his signature hat and leather jacket combo, the 52-year-old showed up to the sold-out screening at The Rooftop at Pier 17. But before the movie started, Eminem (whose real name is Marshall Mathers) took a moment to thank his fans for supporting him over the last two decades. After all, the film—which released in theaters on August 7—sees his biggest 'stans' detailing how his music impacted their lives. In fact, Devon Sawa—who played Stan in the 2000 music video—also surprised fellow fans at the film's pop-up party earlier that day. He also brought his son Hudson to the event, and in a full circle moment, his little one took a photo with the 8 Mile rapper. And when Eminem isn't looking back at his iconic discography, he's gushing over his family. During his May 18 performance at Jelly Roll's show in Detroit, the 'Not Afraid' star gave his oldest daughter Hailie Jade Scott, 29, and her husband Evan McClintock a sweet shoutout. 'Long time, no see, Detroit,' Eminem said at the time. 'One more time, make some noise for Jelly Roll, y'all. Hailie and Evan, happy anniversary, I love y'all.' Hailie, who shares 3-month-old son Elliott Marshall McClintock with Evan, also dedicated a tribute to their romantic milestone on Instagram. Eminem's Decades-Old Song Brings Him To A Landmark For The First Time
Eminem's career has been filled with headline-making wins, and even after decades of dominating charts around the world, he's still finding new ways to add to his list of accomplishments. This week, one of his most famous singles makes a quiet but remarkable return to a Billboard ranking — one that has only existed for a few years, but which Eminem has still managed to make his own. 'Without Me' Returns to the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. This week, 'Without Me' is back on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., landing at No. 199, just one space from the bottom. The hit, which peaked at No. 32, continues to connect with listeners all around the world – though the roster doesn't take into account streams and sales from the United States – more than two decades after its release. This latest week marks the cut's two-hundredth on the ranking, and it becomes Eminem's first entry reach that rare milestone. Few Eminem Songs Have Shown This Kind of Longevity Eminem has sent plenty of tracks to the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., but only a handful have managed lengthy stays. His second-longest-running entry, 'Mockingbird,' has now spent 122 weeks on the tally. 'The Real Slim Shady' has racked up 86 stays, while 'Lose Yourself' has collected 56. A Quieter Week for Eminem in the U.S. While he's celebrating a major overseas win, things are more subdued for Eminem in his home country. In the U.S., 'Lose Yourself' is back at No. 15 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart, where it has previously peaked at No. 2. It is the rapper's only hit at the moment in America. His compilation Curtain Call: The Hits continues its remarkable run, climbing to No. 14 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums list and improving to No. 10 on the Top Rap Albums chart. The project is nearing 750 weeks on the Billboard 200, a figure it will hit soon.
