Kevin Feige Confirms Talks With Ryan Reynolds About the Future of Deadpool and Wolverine in the MCU Are Ongoing — GeekTyrant

Kevin Feige made the rounds this weekend, talking about the future of the MCU and some of our favorite characters. Two that unsurprisingly popped into the conversation were Deadpool and Wolverine. While we don't know what lies ahead for the pair, played by Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, respectively, regarding their futures in the Marvel roles, Feige did confirm their futures are part of a bigger discussion. When asked at a round-table interview if he saw the actors in his vision of the MCU's future, Feige explained: 'There have absolutely been discussions. We're in touch with Ryan a lot. So the answer is yes.' When pressed further about Hugh Jackman specifically, Feige joked: 'He's doing it until he's 90, man.' As of right now, it's unclear where they'll appear next. Neither have been announced as part of the Avengers: Doomsday cast, though it would be unsurprising to see them appear as a surprise. Marvel is mapping out its next three phases, and what saga will come next post- Secret Wars , so it's possible they could appear after that as well. via: CB

Will Wolverine (WWW) Beat Estimates Again in Its Next Earnings Report?

Have you been searching for a stock that might be well-positioned to maintain its earnings-beat streak in its upcoming report? It is worth considering Wolverine World Wide (WWW), which belongs to the Zacks Shoes and Retail Apparel industry. When looking at the last two reports, this footwear maker has recorded a strong streak of surpassing earnings estimates. The company has topped estimates by 33.04%, on average, in the last two quarters. For the most recent quarter, Wolverine was expected to post earnings of $0.18 per share, but it reported $0.11 per share instead, representing a surprise of 63.64%. For the previous quarter, the consensus estimate was $0.41 per share, while it actually produced $0.42 per share, a surprise of 2.44%. Price and EPS Surprise With this earnings history in mind, recent estimates have been moving higher for Wolverine. In fact, the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction) for the company is positive, which is a great sign of an earnings beat, especially when you combine this metric with its nice Zacks Rank. Our research shows that stocks with the combination of a positive Earnings ESP and a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) or better produce a positive surprise nearly 70% of the time. In other words, if you have 10 stocks with this combination, the number of stocks that beat the consensus estimate could be as high as seven. The Zacks Earnings ESP compares the Most Accurate Estimate to the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the quarter; the Most Accurate Estimate is a version of the Zacks Consensus whose definition is related to change. The idea here is that analysts revising their estimates right before an earnings release have the latest information, which could potentially be more accurate than what they and others contributing to the consensus had predicted earlier. Wolverine currently has an Earnings ESP of +5.75%, which suggests that analysts have recently become bullish on the company's earnings prospects. This positive Earnings ESP when combined with the stock's Zacks Rank #2 (Buy) indicates that another beat is possibly around the corner. With the Earnings ESP metric, it's important to note that a negative value reduces its predictive power; however, a negative Earnings ESP does not indicate an earnings miss. Many companies end up beating the consensus EPS estimate, but that may not be the sole basis for their stocks moving higher. On the other hand, some stocks may hold their ground even if they end up missing the consensus estimate. Because of this, it's really important to check a company's Earnings ESP ahead of its quarterly release to increase the odds of success. Make sure to utilize our Earnings ESP Filter to uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they've reported. Want the latest recommendations from Zacks Investment Research? Wolverine And Jack Reacher Are Made For Male Gaze

Earlier this year, British singer Olly Murs sparked some serious online discourse when before-and-after photos from his '12-week gym transformation' went viral on social media. It all started when an X user ran an online poll to ask men and women which photo they preferred. With just under 5,000 people voting, another X user was left in disbelief when they noticed that most women said that they preferred Olly's body in the before photo. Sharing a screenshot of the poll result alongside the original photos, the second X user wrote: 'why are women lying about this? like what's the actual cause?' and before long, men and women were embroiled in a passionate debate. And one of the most popular quote-tweets from a woman ultimately summed up the discourse, reading: 'We're not lying. Men cater to the male gaze more often than they realize.' But it seems as though men have learned absolutely nothing from this viral moment, with the same conversation erupting on X again just last week. This time, it stemmed from a right-wing X account sharing photos of Hugh Jackman and Alan Ritchson in character as muscular Wolverine and Jack Reacher respectively. The user wrote: 'Notice how no one, not a single soul, has ever complained about the female gaze in entertainment.' Rage-bait or not, this tweet undeniably struck a chord, and it has been seen more than 41 million times since it was posted on at the time of writing, tens of thousands of people have shared their response in the replies and quote-tweets, arguing both for and against its original message. Unsurprisingly, the overwhelming consensus was that, once again, these hench male action heroes with bulging muscles are actually catered to other men. 'both photos represent a perfect example of entertainment catering to the MALE gaze,' a viral quote tweet reads. 'did straight men learn nothing from the recent before and after gym photos of that british singer?' Somebody else shared a photo of the stripper characters in Magic Mike, led by Channing Tatum, writing: 'That's not shot for women. This is shot for women. See the difference?' For reference, while the Magic Mike cast are toned and muscular, their bodies are nowhere near the level of Wolverine and Reacher.'LOUD INCORRECT BUZZER. the female gaze is actually this,' another wrote alongside a gif of Matthew Macfadyen as Mr. Darcy in the 2005 adaptation of Pride & Prejudice. 'I'm going to hold your hand while I tell you this…. But the male power fantasy you're showing isn't the female gaze…. The female gaze is less about muscles for show (that aren't even functional, they're severely dehydrated for that effect) and more about EVERYTHING ELSE,' one more viral tweet one more concluded: 'Not that women hate muscular men but this kind of ripped look mostly caters to male audiences. The biggest admirers of gym bros are other gym bros." Perhaps expectedly, men have continued to argue in the replies of all of the viral rebuttals — proving that there is simply no getting through to some people. Marvel Is Replacing A Beloved Character

Every so often, Marvel will take a risk and replace one of their characters, and now the label will be replacing a beloved character for an all-new project. Details have been released regarding which character will take the iconic mantle of their predecessor, and fans are certainly going to be eager to learn more. The replacement will be the focus of a new miniseries as part of a new revamp of the X-Men mythos. A new storyline is in the works and this miniseries will revolve around one of the team's most important members and the legacy they've left behind. The new storyline, titled the ' Age of Revelation ,' is described as a variation on the ' Age of Apocalypse ' storyline, with the narrative taking place ten years after the events of X-Men: The Heir of Apocalypse when a mutant known as Revelation, aka Doug Ramsey, begins to rule the world. Here's what shared regarding the synopsis for one of the new miniseries making up the Age of Apocalypse narrative, The Last Wolverine , and the character that will be taking over the mantle from Logan: 'WHAT HAPPENED TO WOLVERINE? X YEARS LATER, the people of Vancouver cheer a new hero: the WONDERFUL WOLVERINE, A.K.A. the WENDIGO, Logan's last student,' Marvel shared. 'But what happened to Logan? A secret from Wolverine's past will set the Last Wolverine on a mission to uphold his mentor's legacy… unless a dire threat burns it all down first!' Fans have previously seen Wolverine work alongside the Wendigo, also known as Leonard, so it'll be exciting to see Leonard pick up where Wolverine left off. Clearly a lot has changed in the ten years that Revelation takes over the world, and now Marvel has Wendigo replacing the iconic character Logan as Wolverine going into this new future. Fans will be able to see the new replacement for Wolverine in The Last Wolverine #1 when it drops on October 22, 2025. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates regarding Marvel Comics and other related properties including the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we have them.

This ‘Race-Worn' Pagani Utopia Is the Pre-Ripped Jeans of Hypercars

People who can afford to drop seven figures on a bespoke hypercar often come up with wild color combinations, so you're not confusing anyone else's ride for theirs. This particular Pagani Utopia commissioned by one client, however, might be the most unique of any we've seen lately. Like the pre-ripped denim craze of the aughts, this Utopia trades on stolen valor to look like it's been through the ringer of endurance racing, and the effect isn't very persuasive. Pagani says it's called 'The Coyote' (whether the buyer dubbed it that or the automaker is unclear) and describes it as 'a fleeting glimpse of a livery shaped by endurance: untamed, imperfect, alive.' Its red and blue accents are reminiscent of a Martini-liveried Porsche, but what makes this Utopia special are the fake tears stretching from the wheel wells, the floors, and the bottom of the front bumper, revealing 'exposed' carbon fiber. In my view, there are two issues with this. First, it's ugly. From a distance, it looks like the abrasions were drawn on with marker. Second, if you've ever actually seen a car at the end of a full day of competition, they don't tend to look anything like this Pagani. Fortunately, the World Endurance Championship YouTube account posted a video after last year's 24 Hours of Le Mans that highlights the difference. Look at the field of finishers. We see plenty of caked-on dirt and tar, dust collected on the wheels themselves and the surrounding bodywork, and charred panels near exhaust pipes. What we don't see are strips of wraps and vinyls torn back like Wolverine has clawed through them. And the whole effect feels even flimsier because you just know that the owner will never abuse this car like those battle-scarred gladiators of the Mulsanne. Only one Pagani has ever actually taken on Le Mans, as it happens, and it was a Zonda way back in 2003. Of course, this guy can do whatever he wants with his money. It's his third Pagani, according to the company, and this 'collector…doesn't just configure a car but shapes a fragment of himself into every line and stitch, with patience, care, and almost meditative devotion.' No arguing with that—he's commissioned a Utopia that is distinctly his own. I'm just wondering if it's a bellwether for other trends. Some people will tell you cargo shorts are making a comeback; will the same soon be true of distressed denim?
