Liam Gallagher stuns fans by claiming Oasis won't perform fan-favourite

Liam Gallagher has left Oasis fans stunned by claiming the Britpop legends won't be including 'Acquiesce' in their 'Oasis Live '25 Tour' setlist. Frontman Liam and guitarist Noel Gallagher are set to perform together for the first time in 16 years at rehearsals on Tuesday (03.06.25) - ahead of the tour kicking off on July 4 in Cardiff. Responding to a fan on X, Liam confirmed; "Yes Rasta D I'm in Tuesday to blow there minds (sic)." Liam has also been answering fans' questions about what songs will be played by the band. He confirmed that 'Rock N Roll Star' is "getting played". However, 'Acquiesce', which Liam performed at his solo shows with female backing singers, didn't make the cut. One fan asked: "You gonna sing Acquiesce with Noel at the Heaton park gigs for us Liam?" To which, Liam replied: "That's not on the list, sorry." Disappointed fans chimed in: "You can't do this to us." Another wrote: "Better get it sorted Liam be a lot of disappointed fans if that don't make the set. Wonderwall can do one." It is, however, worth taking everything Liam says on X with a pinch of salt. 'Acquiesce' was the B-side to Oasis' first UK number-one single, 1995's 'Some Might Say', and featured dual vocals from the Gallagher brothers. Oasis split in 2009, when Noel left the band over a backstage fight with his sibling at Rock en Seine festival in Paris. He said in a statement at the time: 'People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.' However, the Gallagher siblings thrilled fans last year, when they announced Oasis' comeback after 15 years. They wrote on X: 'The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised."

Mum of Liam Gallagher's lovechild makes eye-watering demand after reunion payday

Liza Ghorbani, the mother of Liam Gallagher's lovechild, has reportedly been accused of trying to 'capitalise' on the Oasis reunion as she allegedly demands he pay nearly £500,000 a year The mother of Liam Gallagher 's youngest child has been accused of trying to cash in on the singer's Oasis reunion windfall. Liza Ghorbani, who shares 12-year-old daughter Gemma with the rocker, is reportedly claiming nearly £500,000 annually for maintenance, a courtroom heard. Since a 2015 order, the former Oasis lead has already parted with over $1 million (£738,000). Subsequently, after learning of Gemma's autism diagnosis, Liam agreed to an additional $240,000 (£177,000) for her schooling and support in 2021. ‌ It's now reported that Ms Ghorbani now seeks approximately $670,000 (£495,000) per annum from the Wonderwall hitmaker for basic upkeep and further outlays. She is now reportedly seeking $420,000 each year for day-to-day child support, plus an extra lump sum of $250,000. ‌ Liam, who is father to three older children, conceived his youngest while still married to Nicole Appleton. His extra-marital affair was revealed in April 2014 when Ms Ghorbani's pregnancy was made public. The Sun reports that during the latest hearing at New York's Supreme Court, Liam's representation Judy Poller said Ms Ghorbani's side is "seeking this money because Mr Gallagher is about to endeavour on a new musical adventure" - referring to Liam's lucrative upcoming reunion tour with brother Noel Gallagher. She added: "She is looking for $30,000-a-month residence so she can have a pool, $100,000-a-year live-in nanny, a vacation budget of $6,300. These expenses are not appropriate. This was never an intact family that had a lifestyle." Ms Ghorbani's solicitor, Amanda Creegan, expressed concern that Gemma's needs are falling to the wayside. Creegan claimed in court that Liam - who was present via videolink - has neither met nor shown any intention of meeting Gemma, adding "he doesn't talk to her, doesn't acknowledge her". ‌ She also lambasted Liam for allegedly deceiving them about prior fee settlements. Creegan stated: "About three days after she filed for the modification motion, he went on an X rant, where he called her a 'gold-digger' and he accused her of shaking him down, and lied about how much he was paying her, and violated the confidentiality agreement." Judge Jeffrey Pearlman was optimistic about reaching a resolution and earmarked June 13 for a confidential session. When enquired if he could make it on the set date, Liam confirmed: "Yeah, I'm good for that, any time." Upon querying about the timing difference in the UK, he followed up with: "That's all good, man. It's cool." Liam and his brother Noel, who split in 2009 prompted by a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival, confirmed their long-awaited Oasis reunion in August 2024. The band will first take to the stage for two performances at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on July 4. The UK and Ireland tour will also visit Manchester's Heaton Park, London's Wembley Stadium, Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium and Dublin's Croke Park throughout July, August and September.

The source said: 'It was all very slow-going behind the scenes to get the brothers talking again. 'Anais spending so much time with her dad allowed her to realise how much he missed his brother, despite the jibes they both made. 'It enabled her to plant the idea of a reconciliation on both sides. Thanks to her close relationship with Liam, she was able to call him. 'She worked hard to make sure they didn't look back in anger, if you like. 'Once Liam called Noel, the rest was left up to them.' The Gallagher brothers The 5 Oasis first burst onto the scene in the early 90s Credit: Alamy
