He probably created it after facing the Grand Line/New World, where 90% of high-level pirates have this ability. Ace's battles: From Jinbe to Yamato and Aokiji Ace fought some heavy hitters in his run, too: Jinbe: The fight they put up was fierce. Ace even overpowered Jinbe's Armament Haki with just his flames. The real story behind Ace's parents, Roger and Rouge Ace's father, as we learned back in the first manga chapters and anime episodes, was Gol D. Roger, the only pirate to ever get to Laugh Tale and discover the fabled One Piece treasure. His mother was Portgas D. Rouge, a very kind and brave woman from Baterilla in the South Blue. To ensure Ace would not be killed by the Government, Rouge kept him in her womb for 20 months, keeping his birth secret until Roger was dead for 20 years. She died immediately after giving birth, and Garp, a Marine legend himself, took Ace and entrusted Dadan to raise him. Ace never met his parents, but grew up believing that the world found him unlovable simply because of the blood that ran through his veins. That pain may have made him strong, it set in motion the chain of events which led to his tragic, untimely death. Ace's legacy still burns bright Though he died years ago, Portgas D. Ace's story continues to be written in the hearts of One Piece fans across the globe. He was not only brave, loyal, and powerful. He was probably more powerful than people knew. Roger. Fans are speculating this because Gaban might come out of hiding to assist in training, helping Monkey D. Luffy learn the very last form of Haki, getting him ready for this final war that will determine the fate of the seas. W hile not officially confirmed by creator Eiichiro Oda, hints from past arcs and consistent storytelling patterns have led many to believe that Gaban's return may be imminent — and crucial. Who Is Scopper Gaban? For those fans who came around in the era after Roger went missing, Scopper Gaban is a pretty obscure name. He was a key member of the Roger Pirates, sitting below only Rayleigh and Roger himself in their hierarchy. Renowned for his dual-axe fighting style and stoic disposition, Gaban was a silent but deadly force in the Pirate King's age. Just as Rayleigh trained Luffy in Haki during the two year time skip, Gaban has been absent from the story — unseen since the flashback arc of Oden's travelling with the Roger Pirates. So to those who have wondered where he's been, we say here's what he's been up to. Is he coming back? Why Luffy needs stronger Haki By this point, we've seen Luffy go from knowing nothing to fully mastering all three types of Haki – Observation (Kenbunshoku), Armament (Busoshoku), and Conqueror's (Haoshoku). During the Wano Arc, he mastered infusing Conqueror's Haki into his attacks, something only the strongest warriors in One Piece can do. Even with the final war against Imu, the Gorosei, Blackbeard, and maybe even the World Government's ultimate weapons, that seems insufficient for the level we're building to. If Oda sticks with his tried and tested narrative formula, Luffy might still require one last bit of sass — an instructor who can help him harness Haki to its utmost zenith. That's where someone like Gaban could come in. Gaban's possible role in teaching the strongest Haki Credits: VIZ If Rayleigh showed Luffy the basics, then Gaban can teach Luffy how to fully combine all three types of Haki —something that's been rumored for a long time and could serve as the final form of Haki training goes. This would represent equilibrium between determination, knowledge, and self-control — very appropriate for Luffy's development into the next Pirate King. What's more, as someone who briefly sailed with the only man to ever conquer the Grand Line, Gaban could drop some huge One Piece lore bombs on Luffy, showing him how his mentor Roger utilized Haki not just in combat, but as an incarnation of unity and freedom itself. Until now, Dragon had operated largely under the radar. That's soon to be over. According to the most recent evidence, Oda might have already teased who Dragon's ultimate foe will be, and it's a battle that would change the One Piece world forever. Monkey D. Dragon wants to destroy the world government Monkey D. Dragon is considered one of the most dangerous men in the world of One Piece—not just because of his monstrous strength, but due to his very existence. Once a Marine Once Dragon was revealed the truths of the corrupt World Government, he left the military. He would go on to form the Freedom Fighters, which would later become the Revolutionary Army. What is their mission you may ask? To deliver all peoples from the unaccountable despotism of tyrants and deliver the world from the rule of the Celestial Dragons—their horrible, awful, nasty elite rulers who abuse regular folks like slaves! 'There can be no happiness in a world where those deemed unnecessary are weeded out and eliminated… One day, I will change this world… you mark my words.' Monkey D. Dragon Revolutionary Army vs. Celestial Dragons: The war has already begun While Dragon and his forces have been making larger moves under the radar, their sneak attacks were starting to take a toll. They've aided revolutionaries in Citizens House's evil government and most recently liberated slaves under the control of the noble Celestial Dragons—which in their capital, Marijoa. In a downlinked episode from one recent mission, Dragon's commanders—Nick Sabo, Morley, Caribou Karasu, and Lindbergh—managed to successfully extract Bartholomew Kuma, their former comrade turned human weapon. Through further acts of rebellion, they went on to destroy food stores intended for the Celestial ruling class, sending shockwaves through their world by demonstrating that even the most powerful could be struck where they hurt most. Though obstructed by two mighty Admirals, Fujitora and Ryokugyu, the Revolutionary Army ultimately triumphed with their operation. Fujitora even assisted, suggesting that not all denizens of the World Government are on board with its barbaric methods. Dragon's final opponent could be Figarland Garling Even though most of the Revolutionary Army commanders have fought already, Dragon himself has never fought up till now. That's almost certainly about to change. Shortly after the release, many fans speculated that Figarland Garling—the wicked Supreme Commander of the Holy Knights—would be Dragon's last and most personal foe.
