WWE WrestleMania 42 No Longer Taking Place In New Orleans
WWE WrestleMania 42 in the Big Easy might not be a done deal anymore. According to a new report from Wrestlenomics, WrestleMania 42 will no longer take place in New Orleans in 2026. A statement provided to Wrestlenomics claims New Orleans will get a future WrestleMania in an unspecified year. In addition, New Orleans will get two major events, one being the 2026 Money In The Bank event. Advertisement 'The Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and New Orleans & Company are working closely with our friends at TKO to expand our long-standing partnership,' the statement from the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation reads. 'Which will include UFC 318 on July 19, 2025, Money In The Bank in 2026, and WrestleMania – which will move from the currently scheduled 2026 timeframe to a future year.' New Orleans & Company is a marketing group that promotes the New Orleans tourism industry. This is similar to how the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority promoted WrestleMania 41. Update: Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp is reporting that WWE confirmed the Wrestlenomics report is true. In addition, the WWE source noted that the change is part of a larger deal that adds the 2026 Money In The Bank event and a future Wrestlemania event. Update 2: A new report claims WrestleMania will return to Las Vegas in 2026. Where will WrestleMania 42 take place? WWE has not announced where WrestleMania 42 will now take place. Money In The Bank typically takes place in June or July. However, a date for the 2026 event was not mentioned. It was noted that the UFC and MITB events are part of a broader 'multi-event, multi-year agreement' being negotiated between local organizers and WWE and UFC parent company TKO. Advertisement New Orleans was only announced as the WrestleMania 42 location in February. That announcement came courtesy of The Rock, who delivered the news on an episode of SmackDown that taped in the city. WrestleMania 42 was originally scheduled to take place on April 11-12, 2026 at the Caesars Superdome. The venue previously hosted two other WrestleManias in 2014 (XXX) and 2018 (34). WWE had also gone as far as announcing televised WrestleMania 42 week events in New Orleans. However, these events are also likely going to be rescheduled. WWE SmackDown results, highlights (May 30): Cody Rhodes goes after John Cena, Logan Paul
John Cena and Cody Rhodes are back in each other's orbit after a brief break between WrestleMania 41 and last weekend's Saturday Night's Main Event. "WWE SmackDown" closed with the continuation of the championship feud, as the company gears up for Money In the Bank when they'll face off in a tag team match alongside partners, Logan Paul and World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso. Advertisement First and foremost, it's nice to have Rhodes back, and it definitely feels weird seeing him without the Undisputed WWE championship. Recycling We have to accept the meta nature of this whole Cena heel run at this point. As much as it might be overly crediting those behind the scenes, I'm convinced they actually want this all to be awful because going the route of Cena and Paul vs. Rhodes and Uso is crazy. Not only is it a waste of Cena's last stretch of matches, but it is also a waste of Rhodes, who is far and away the best total package of all four of these wrestlers. Rhodes addressed his time away as soon as he hit the ring, and addressed his run as champion with some minor mentions of The Rock. It's better than nothing to bring that colossal part of the story to light, but we still could have gotten more. Ultimately, Rhodes promised never to hesitate with Cena again like he did in their match. Therefore, setting up the showdown between both sides of the coin as everyone entered the ring. Advertisement Cena just praised Paul and called his foes wannabes. That's about all there is to this now, and Paul jumped on the mic (for far too long) to essentially ram home why he and Cena are better than the opposition. His best line was stating that Uso needed Rhodes to beat him at Saturday Night's Main Event, but everything eventually broke down into a sloppy brawl. The predictability of Rhodes and Cena's story continuing, and likely culminating with Rhodes regaining the title from Cena, could have been seen from a mile away. This just doesn't feel like the right rekindling point whatsoever. There was never a chance it would happen, but Cena losing to someone else on his way out before Rhodes regained the title would even be welcomed. It's all messy, but again, to an extent, it almost feels like it's supposed to be. So, take it for what it is. Ruining quality Instead of clearing up or resolving the tag team division issue that closed out last week's "WWE SmackDown," things got even more convoluted on this show. Advertisement The title-holding Street Profits tried to justify that they were on their way to winning against Fraxiom before the Wyatt Sicks gave them the DQ win. Every other team came out to ring to spout substanceless nonsense. That was all before The Wyatt Sicks hit the blackout and took them all out. So, what is happening here? Apparently, too much for WWE to organize with all these talented teams, because this looks like some crazy five-way tag team match might come out of it. At least, that — or a tournament — would be the logical move at this stage. The big problem with the inclusion of The Wyatt Sicks in the title scene is similar to when Bray Wyatt was The Fiend. Supernatural characters don't need, and probably shouldn't want, to be champions. Their motives historically are to ... well, kill people, essentially. Do you remember when Wyatt drowned Braun Strowman? It's weird, man. Advertisement I love the creativity of it all, but it's so, so difficult to do right in this day and age. Their motives should be exclusively story and history-based, but there's none of that for the group. Strowman is gone, and former rivals or links like Randy Orton, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins are all way higher up on the billing to where WWE wouldn't dare bother circling back. Maybe with Orton, but even for him, we're kind of past that. If anything, The New Day would have been perfect over on "WWE Raw," but alas, here we are. 🐌Quicksand of the Night It's a sad, sad, sad, sad day. Triple H managed to give us an atrocious triple-threat match. My soul is still quivering. Naomi vs. Jade Cargill vs. Nia Jax was the worst three-way affair in quite some time. It legitimately felt like everything was happening in slow motion. Thankfully, the right woman won to advance to the Money In the Bank ladder match, and that was Naomi. The result came as somewhat of a surprise, considering how Naomi has been booked since she turned heel. She's done tremendous work, but has not seen many positive results from it. Advertisement The women's ladder match only gets more unpredictable with Naomi's addition. She'd be a great choice to have win, and ultimately, if she won and waited to cash in on Bianca Belair after the "EST" regains a title, that would be pretty solid full circle storytelling, especially after the threats each made to the other before the match, including a nasty wheelchair line from Naomi. Somehow, WWE needs to cap off that story with a big blow-off or extended rivalry. Cargill's consistent attacks have gotten boring, and they could use some time away from each other. Unlike that triple threat match, however, the men delivered in spades for our... 👑 Uncrowned Gem of the Night 👑 WWE dropped quite the swerve on us, putting Andrade over Carmelo Hayes and Jacob Fatu to qualify for the Money In the Bank ladder match. Advertisement This was genuinely stunning. Between all three, Andrade has had the least amount of story or airtime given to him in recent weeks. What we have seen has been his inclusion with Legado Del Fantasma, and nothing of significance in the singles department. But unsurprisingly, the match as a whole was just fantastic. Interferences were expected, and came earlier from The Miz in Hayes' corner before Fatu took him out. The U.S. champ ultimately came up short after Solo Sikoa and JC Mateo prompted him to hit another moonsault on Andrade, causing a distraction. Fatu stayed protected, as Hayes ate the pin. The latter appears headed for a split with The Miz, but the booking of all of this was executed borderline perfectly. 👍FRIDAY NIGHT FIRE👍 1. Los Garza beat Rey Fenix and Je'von Evans with the assist from Ethan Page ringside. The NXT North American champion was a very fun listen on commentary, and only out there because of the impending match he'll have with the two men at Worlds Collide. It was a little rough to have Evans take the pin in his "WWE SmackDown" debut, but he looked like a million bucks, and Los Garza riding into the event off a win is good. It all worked well. 2. We finally have some new direction for Damian Priest after moving on from Drew McIntyre. The former World Heavyweight Champion set his sights on the United States titlist with an in-ring promo. I love it. Something new, something fresh, and Priest even congratulated him, showing respect. However, he admitted he has no respect for the likes of Sikoa and Mateo, which adds a little wrinkle. It should be interesting to see how this all plays out, especially as the breakaway from Sikoa still needs to happen for Fatu. 🤷IT HAPPENED🤷 1. R-Truth lost a quick match to Mateo after roasting him and Sikoa backstage. The brief interaction was funny, then Mateo rightfully won before continuing the attack. Jimmy Uso made the save, and that was that. 👎DOWN & OUT👎 1. The never-ending United States Championship feud between Zelina Vega and Chelsea Green's squad continues to never end, as Vega won a match against Alba Fyre. Just because. Advertisement Did WWE forget about the rest of the women on the roster? It legitimately feels like it. That was until Giulia teased a pursuit of the US title backstage — despite being in the Money In the Bank ladder match. So much for her winning that, I guess. 👑 I give this show a Crown score of: 6.5/10.👑

Is WWE reportedly planning to host WrestleMania 42 in London or Saudi Arabia?
WWE is gearing up for the upcoming edition of WrestleMania 42, the following year in 2026. The company is now aiming to hold the event outside of the USA, and is aiming to host it in London or Saudi Arabia. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now However, it has now come to light that WWE is reportedly facing significant hurdles when it comes to securing its location, and the latest updates suggest that the event's future home is still uncertain. WWE's strategy for selecting the host city for WrestleMania 42 has taken an unexpected turn. The company is currently busy making negotiations to encourage cities to submit more bids for hosting the show. Earlier, the Showcase of the Immortals was originally scheduled to take place next April at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, but news broke late last week that it would no longer host the event, and a new venue is yet to be announced. WWE is reportedly pressuring cities into bigger bids to host WrestleMania 42 WWE is reportedly putting pressure on cities to make bigger bids to host WrestleMania 42. The company is using the uncertainty surrounding the event's location as a tactic to prompt cities to increase their bids. By doing this, WWE may be creating a competitive environment where the hosts feel compelled to offer more attractive financial packages to secure the event. According to Fightful Select , 'WrestleMania 42 isn't in New Orleans, and officially doesn't have a home, though it's expected to be Las Vegas once again.' This comes as a surprise to many that the company is considering Las Vegas again, as Las Vegas was initially viewed as the frontrunner for the 2026 edition of WrestleMania. Despite the ongoing speculation, WWE is yet to confirm the venue, and sources within the company have remained tight-lipped, without declaring any official word on the matter. In the meantime, some sources have mentioned the possibility of other cities hosting the event, particularly London. The UK has been a point of discussion for hosting , but the high cost of hosting the event in London could be a major factor in whether the company moves forward with this option. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Again, Ringside News has reported that Saudi Arabia is another possible venue that could be taken into consideration. They stated, 'Saudi Arabia, which has long shown interest in hosting WrestleMania, is another rumored location, but it doesn't seem to be a feasible option in the immediate future. A longtime WWE employee weighed in, stating that if WrestleMania were to be held in Saudi Arabia, it would likely happen in the future, possibly rebranded as 'Super WrestleMania. ' In reality, the contest to host is fierce, as it contributes significantly to the country's economy. As WrestleMania 41 was hosted at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas in April 2025, a city known for its high-profile events and substantial tourism revenue. Tensions look to mount even more as WWE Undisputed Champion John Cena and former champion Cody Rhodes will be in the same vicinity. Here's your preview for this evening's WWE Smackdown, the UK start time on Netflix and a look at the current card for WWE Money In The Bank 2025. It's set to be another action-packed episode of WWE Smackdown this evening, as the final few Money In The Bank qualifying matches take place before the PLE next month. With two slots remaining on both the men's and women's sides, two more qualifying bouts are set to take place tonight in Knoxville, Tennessee – and there's a homecoming for the EST of the WWE planned too! Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad But the big news tonight will be former and current WWE Champions, Cody Rhodes and John Cena, appearing under the same roof after Cody's shock return to the company. While Cena has continued his quest to 'ruin' professional wrestling, what will Rhodes say to the man who turned his back on the fans and, quite possibly, the business he once loved? Here's your preview for WWE Smackdown this evening, the start time in the United Kingdom, and what matches have currently been confirmed for the upcoming Money In The Bank PLE event, taking place on June 7, 2025. WWE Smackdown preview - May 30 2025 Cody Rhodes and John Cena - under one roof Will it be an explosive episode of WWE Smackdown this evening, as the Champ and the Quarterback reside under the same roof? |Cody Rhodes made his return to WWE for the first time since his WrestleMania loss last week, charging the ring to save Jey Uso during his World Heavyweight Championship defense against Logan Paul. During that match, John Cena – who believes a 'YouTuber' world champion would 'ruin wrestling' and is committed to fulfilling his promise before retirement – interfered to assist Paul. However, it was the WWE's Quarterback who ensured no shenanigans would pay off. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Tonight, the pair are under the same roof. And with Rhodes still seething after losing the championship he fought so hard to win and finish his story, saying 'sparks are set to fly' might not even do justice to the powder-keg the WWE Universe finds itself standing on. Bianca Belair's Homecoming to Knoxville Bianca Belair is set to make an appearance in her hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee, this evening. Questions are swirling about what's next for the Women's Triple Crown Champion. After unsuccessfully challenging for the WWE Women's Championship at WrestleMania, what are her objectives now? Is the Women's North American Championship a possibility for the EST on the blue brand? Money In The Bank Qualifier: Jacob Fatu v Andrade v Carmelo Hayes With two more spots to fill in the men's Money In The Bank ladder match, Solo Sikoa can only hope that Jacob Fatu qualifies to join him in this high-stakes, high-risk bout at the next Premium Live Event. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad However, trouble is brewing between the pair. Since the introduction of JC Mateo (former NJPW and Lucha Underground star Jeff Cobb), there's been a distinct lack of trust between Fatu and the man he once professed to 'love.' Adding to the animosity in the match, Andrade and Carmelo Hayes look to pick up where they left off earlier in the year, after a sensational best-of-seven series brought out the best in both. Will they be too distracted by each other instead of focusing on 'The Samoan Werewolf'? Money In The Bank Qualifier: Jade Cargill v Nia Jax v Naomi Much like the men's Money In The Bank ladder match, there are two more slots to fill in the women's equivalent – and this triple threat is full of bad blood. Jade Cargill and Naomi have been involved in a torrid feud since the revelation that Naomi intentionally injured Cargill, thus replacing her in a tag team alongside Bianca Belair. Ever since that admission, Naomi has made it her personal task to ruin Cargill at every chance she gets. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad But the X-factor is, of course, Nia Jax. The former WWE Women's Champion will be looking to qualify for the ladder match and, perhaps, cash in on Tiffany Stratton – her once-time partner who just so happened to cash in her Money In The Bank briefcase to win the coveted title from Jax. What time is WWE Smackdown airing in the United Kingdom this evening? The latest episode of WWE Smackdown is scheduled to broadcast on Netflix in the United Kingdom from 1am BST on May 31 2025. What is Seth Rollins' net worth in 2025? Current salary and more explored
Image via WWE Seth Rollins ' success in WWE has transformed into incredible fame and fortune this year. WWE has seen the rise of many top-tier talents in the modern era, but only a few can be called marquee attractions. One name on top of that list is Seth "Freakin" Rollins. The Visionary has been a part of WWE for more than a decade and has been one of their top performers of this generation. His remarkable success and popularity have led to a significant rise in his wealth and financial standing in 2025. What is Seth Rollins' net worth in 2025? According to sources like Sportskeeda and Celebrity Net Worth, Seth Rollins has amassed an incredible fortune this year. As of now, The Revolutionary of WWE has earned an impressive net worth close to $12 million, which primarily comes from his contract as a WWE superstar. What is Seth Rollins' current salary in 2025? Seth Rollins, reported by the same outlets, is said to be close to $3 million annually, justifying his status as one of the top WWE superstars of the business. Is Seth Rollins still a full-time performer in WWE? Unlike many of his top-tier contemporaries like Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins is very much a full-time WWE performer, making regular appearances on RAW and competing on the red brand. At WrestleMania 41, he defeated CM Punk and Roman Reigns in the main event after Paul Heyman betrayed both of his opponents and sided with him. On the RAW after WrestleMania, the duo cemented their alliance. On the same show, Rollins and Heyman added rising star Bron Breakker to their ranks. The trio had been laying a path of dominance in the last few weeks on Monday Night RAW. At the May 2025 edition of WWE Saturday Night's Main Event, the faction added one more powerful ally to their stable. It was none other than the returning Bronson Reed. He was embroiled in a heated feud with Rollins last year and later on, injured his ankle, putting him on the shelf for months. However, after recruiting a heavy mercenary like Reed, Seth Rollins' strength and power have grown significantly. With The Visionary set to establish his vision in WWE, it remains to be seen what he has planned next. Also read: WWE and Zenni team up for bold new eyewear deal
