Since his release on bail, Darshan has resumed his acting career and is currently shooting for the Kannada action film 'The Devil', directed and produced by Prakash.
As per a Pinkvilla report, Darshan has recently filed a petition in a Bengaluru trial court seeking permission for foreign travel. He requested approval to visit Dubai and Europe from June 1 to June 25, 2025.
However, the special public prosecutor has objected to this plea, expressing concerns that if Darshan leaves the country, the likelihood of his return is minimal.
The court was expected to deliver its verdict on this matter by the end of May 29, 2025.
For the unversed, Renukaswamy, a resident of Chitradurga, was allegedly abducted and brutally tortured before being killed, with reports implicating Darshan and his associates in the crime. As per the reports, Renukaswamy was lured to a shed in Bengaluru. During his captivity, he was subjected to severe torture, including beatings with sticks, electric shocks, and other brutal assaults.
