YSRCP indulging in deceptive campaigns: Energy minister

Addanki: The YSR Congress Party leaders are entangled in various scams, including the liquor scam, but are slinging mud against Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to approach the public now, according to Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar. He ridiculed YSRCP leaders for staging dramas to preserve their existence, and requested people to reject YSRCP's malicious activities and counter their deceptive campaigns. Ravi Kumar participated in the 'Suparipalanalo Tholi Adugu- Intintiki Telugu Desam' campaign in Addanki constituency on Tuesday. He laid the foundation stone for the Vemparala-Mailavaram BT Road project worth Rs 5.10 crore and the Jal Jeevan Mission project worth Rs 55 lakh. He assured that the Vemparala-Mailavaram tar road construction would be completed within five months and made accessible to the public. He announced that roads worth Rs 110 crore have been constructed within the Addanki constituency, and said that the coalition government has emerged as the key address for development and welfare programmes. He revealed that these roads are being constructed using funds from Panchayati Raj, NABARD, and R&B departments. Minister Gottipati criticised the previous YSRCP government for failing to lay even a single kilometre of road during their five-year tenure, alleging that they rendered the entire road system ineffective. He explained that due to the YSRCP government's actions, road construction has now become challenging. He mentioned that road construction work was undertaken after bringing it to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's attention, ensuring that villages and remote areas receive infrastructure facilities similar to towns and cities. Highlighting welfare achievements, Minister Gottipati said that under the coalition government led by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, unprecedented welfare programmes are being implemented statewide. He said that over 65 lakh beneficiaries receive Rs 33000 crore annually as pensions, and Rs 10000 crore were deposited into mothers' accounts in a single day through the 'Talliki Vandanam' scheme, alongside free gas distribution. He said that despite the state's financial difficulties caused by YSRCP's five-year misrule and corruption across all sectors, election promises are being fulfilled and welfare benefits are being delivered to beneficiaries.

YSRCP demands apology from TDP MLA for making derogatory remarks against former Minister

The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) strongly condemned the derogatory remarks made by TDP MLA Bollisetty Srinivas against its leader and former Minister R.K. Roja and demanded a public apology. Addressing the media, YSRCP leader Putta Shiva Shankar called the comments an insult to women in public life and urged immediate withdrawal of the statements. Mr. Shivashankar also attacked Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Agriculture Minister K. Atchannaidu, accusing them of deceiving voters during the election campaign. He criticised the TDP for failing to implement key promises, including the 'Aadabidda Nidhi' scheme meant to provide financial assistance to women. He took particular exception to the Agriculture Minister's recent remark that implementing such schemes would require 'selling the State,' calling it an admission of poor planning. Mr. Shivashankar questioned why such promises were made if they could not be fulfilled. The YSRCP leader alleged that none of the 143 election promises, including free bus travel for women and unemployment allowances had been delivered. He also raised concerns about alleged asset transfers to unknown entities and demanded the Chief Minister's resignation.

YSRCP flays govt for pursuing ‘vindictive' politics

Nellore: YSR Congress Party MLC Parvathareddy Chandrasekhar Reddy has alleged that the coalition government headed by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu was encouraging vindictive politics to divert the attention of people from its failures. In the wake of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) arresting Rajampet YSRCP MP Peddireddy Reddy Midhun Reddy, Chandrasekhar Reddy addressed a media conference at his camp office here on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, the MLC has pointed out that it has become common practice for the coalition government to arrest the YSRCP leaders if they raised queries over its failures in the administration. Chandrasekhar Reddy pointed out series of arrests of the YSRCP leaders like Kakani Govardhan Reddy, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, Vallabhaneni Vamsi, Krishnamohan Reddy and Dhanunjaya Reddy etc during the past few months. The MLC alleged that the government which illegally confined former minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy in jail by imposing 17 cases, now freshly targeted the Rajampet MP though he was in no way connected with the liquor policy. The MLC alleged that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu developed a personal grudge against ‚ Peddireddy's family as the TDP was wiped out in Chittoor district during 2019 elections. The MLC said the people of AP were silently watching the vindictive policies being implemented by the TDP-led government and they were waiting for appropriate time to teach a lesson.

Arrest of YSRCP leaders intended to divert people's attention from failures of government: Amarnath

YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and former Minister Gudivada Amarnath alleged that the Chandrababu Naidu government was arresting YSRCP leaders as it was unable to digest the tremendous response to the 'Babu Surety – Mosam Guarantee' programme of the YSRCP. Addressing a media conference here on Monday, Mr. Amarnath said that Mr. Naidu wants to divert the attention of people from the failures of his government to fulfil their election promises. They have booked around 2,800 cases after coming to power. The way in which two TDP-friendly vernacular dailies were reporting on the remand or arrest of YSRCP leaders even before the investigation agency took any action indicated that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) appointed by the government was basing its probe on the reports given in those two newspapers, he alleged. The YSRCP leader said that the liquor scam case was based on 'oral evidence' that some officials had spoken to the YSRCP leaders. It was common for officials to speak to the ruling party leaders, Ministers or the Chief Minister in any government. The officials would be speaking to Mr. Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan on a regular basis and wonder whether it could be construed as nexus with the officials, he ask Mr. Amarnath alleged that the TDP government was arresting the YSRCP leaders with a political vengeance. He dared the government to show the proof of YSRCP leaders' involvement in the cases. The chargesheet says that the cases were booked based on 'assumption'. It does not say that money was received or that the leaders were caught taking money. This proves that the YSRCP leaders were being implicated in the cases, he alleged. He recalled that the YSRCP government had shown evidence on the alleged involvement of Mr. Naidu in the skill development scam between 2014-19. He alleged that the TDP-led government was putting the 15 medical colleges sanctioned during the YSRCP regime for sale to privatise them.
