Exclusive: Aditya Roy Kapur shares his views on modern-day relationships! Says I don't think there's anything complex about them

Aditya Roy Kapur While he started his career 16 years ago with supporting roles, Aditya Roy Kapur gradually moved on to playing the leading man in intense romantic dramas. Whether he's playing a lovelorn hero in Aashiqui 2 or a brooding guy in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, the actor has often found himself at the centre of stories about complex relationships on screen. In a candid conversation with us, he shares his take on modern-day relationships and more: 'Relationships are all about communicating with each other' Despite the ever-evolving dynamics of dating, Aditya believes relationships aren't as complicated as they're made out to be. The actor, who was recently seen in Metro… In Dino, shares, 'I don't think there's anything really complex about modern day relationships. If both people are completely committed to a relationship, it should be easy. It doesn't change with time. It's all about communicating and spending time with each other. ' 'Your relationship with your friends can easily take a backseat if you don't nurture it' Talking about nurturing relationships amid the hectic lives that we lead, he says, 'It is challenging to nurture relationships in such a fast-paced environment. It becomes difficult to stay in touch as you get older and everyone gets busy. Many people get married, have children and go on to focus on their careers. When you get older you are unable to meet your friends the way you could earlier. So, your relationship with your friends can very easily take a backseat if you don't give it attention, nurture it and make it a point to stay in touch. I think it's important to check on your friends from time to time.' 'I make it a point to stay connected with my close friends' While social media connects us, he questions whether these connections are truly meaningful. He says, 'All of us now are so hyperconnected, sending each other memes, reels and random things all day. So, you think you're connected, but you actually aren't. Having actual conversations and spending time with each other keeps your relationship going. So, we can very easily get seduced into thinking that we all are really talking to each other, but that's not the case. You have to be conscious about keeping up with your friends even when you're constantly on the run. I make it a point to stay connected with my close friends.'

Singer Rekha Bhardwaj performs at Bharat Mandapam and says, ‘Dilli dilwalon ki hai, main bhi Dilli se hoon'

Swirling like a dervish transposed to a musical land, popular singer Rekha Bhardwaj enchanted Delhi on Sunday evening. Her concert Jazbaa saw Bharat Mandapam's Plenary Hall filled to capacity as she performed soothing numbers such as Kabira (Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani; 2013) and Phir Le Aya Dil (Barfi!, 2012). Rekha Bhardwaj recently performed live in Delhi, at Bharat Mandapam (Pragati Maidan)'s Plenary Hall.(Photos: Shantanu Bhattacharya/HT) Mid-song, she paused and confessed, 'Dilli dilwalon ki hai, main bhi Dilli se hoon,' to a resounding round of applause. Each note of her performance elicited a 'waah' or 'kya baat hai' from members of the audience. In turn, the artiste said: 'Bahut badi nemat hai ki hum sab saath mein hain. Kuch ghante bina kisi soch ke ya stress ke sangeet mein guzaar sakte hain. Mujhe lagta hai yeh bahut badi blessing hai (It's a blessing that all of us are able to spend a few hours amid music, and away from any stress).' It wasn't just her mellifluous voice that enraptured the audience — the veteran singer's alta adorned hands, too, played a part. She said, 'This palm facing upwards is to receive from the existence, and the other palm facing downwards is to give back what we receive from existence. This evening is for everyone present here, or even (those not present) — the vibrations of music have a long reach.' For more, follow HT City Delhi Junction

Jr NTR Waves At Paparazzi As He Reaches Mumbai Ahead Of War 2 Release

Jr NTR was spotted in Mumbai ahead of War 2's release. Dressed in black, he waved at paparazzi, but reports say his visit isn't linked to the film's promotions. The biggest clash of this year is all set to hit our big screens on 14 August, and just ahead of War 2's grand release this August, Jr NTR has landed in Mumbai. But does his visit to the city involve the promotion of the action thriller co-starring Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani? Well, we aren't sure about that. A video of Jr NTR arriving in the city and coming out of the airport has been posted by several paparazzi pages. In the clip, the actor can be seen stepping out of the airport in a loose black T-shirt paired with matching track pants. He flaunted his lean look as he greeted the paparazzi with a 'hi" and posed for them before heading to his car. As per a report in News24, NTR's visit to Mumbai is not related to War 2 promotions. A source close to the development told the portal, 'Saiyaara proves there is no need for widespread promotion for a film to do well. Hence, for their next release, War 2, the two principal stars won't promote the film outside their home territory: NTR in Hyderabad and Hrithik in Mumbai. The product will do most of the talking when released on 14 August." Here's Everything About War 2 War 2 marks Ayan Mukerji's fourth directorial venture after Wake Up Sid, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, and Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva. His creative reputation has earned him a substantial paycheck of ₹32 crore for helming this YRF project. Slated for release on August 14, War 2 is being made on a massive budget of approximately ₹200 crore. With this high-octane thriller, Yash Raj Films aims to enter the coveted ₹1,000 crore club. The film is part of YRF's growing spy universe, which already boasts blockbuster hits like the Tiger franchise starring Salman Khan and Pathaan with Shah Rukh Khan. The universe is set to expand further with Alpha, the first female-led spy film in the series, featuring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh. Mohit Suri Spills On 20 Years In Bollywood - Ahaan & Aneet, Alia Bhatt Dream Collab & More Just two days ago, Saiyaara was sitting at the 84th position on the all-time highest-grossing Hindi films list. Now, it has soared to the 46th spot, edging past Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi , Rajinikanth 's 2.0 (Hindi) and Ranbir Kapoor's Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani which had netted Rs 195.55 crore Rs 190.48 crore and with Rs 188.57 crore respectively. It now sits above several major films in terms of net collections and footfalls. Saiyaara is expected to climb even higher on the all-time charts. Industry insiders are already calling it the 'dark horse of 2025' and possibly the year's biggest surprise success.
