Go Min Si's old remark on industry favoritism resurfaces amid bullying allegations: ‘Never been that…'
Go Min Si, recognized for her standout roles in dramas like Youth of May, Tastefully Yours, and Sweet Home, now finds herself at the heart of a growing controversy. Accusations have emerged claiming that she was involved in bullying and extortion during her school years. An old video interview with Go Min Si, circulating again amid the allegations. In it, she spoke about the challenges she faced trying to enter the acting world without formal training. She criticized the 'favoritism and elitism' she encountered and declared that she would never become someone who judged others unfairly. Go Min Si appeared on the YouTube channel BDNS in a segment called Forever Waiting for the Spaghetti in August 2024. During the sit-down with host Moon Sang Hoon, she opened up about her background and shared insights into the challenges she faced on her path into acting. When she was asked to describe the kind of adults she found most difficult to deal with, Go Min Si didn't hesitate—those who judge others with prejudice. Reflecting on her unconventional path, Go Min Si spoke about graduating from a vocational high school focused on cosmetology, not the performing arts. Entering the acting world without a traditional background, she recalled facing scepticism during auditions in Seoul. 'A lot of directors questioned my motives,' she said. 'Unlike the others, I didn't come from a theater or film program, and that made breaking in much harder.' She further quotes, 'Within that environment, there was clear favoritism based on school connections and regional ties. I couldn't understand it at all,' she added. 'I resolved to never become like that. I firmly decided, 'I will never be that kind of person.'' Allegations Surface: Anonymous Post Sparks Firestorm Around Go Min Si The controversy erupted when an anonymous post surfaced online, accusing a then-unnamed actress, referred to only as 'Go XX', of a troubling history of school violence. The allegations were extensive: bullying, verbal abuse, extortion, and even mistreatment of disabled classmates during her middle school years. Following the post, Go Min Si's management, Mystic Story, responded by strongly denying the allegations and asserting their intent to pursue legal action against what they described as 'false and malicious claims.' However, despite these efforts, the discourse online has only grown more heated. For now, Go Min Si has not issued a personal statement. Her silence has only fueled more speculation. As the story continues to unfold, it remains unclear whether this will be a temporary stumble in a rising career or the beginning of a long-lasting fall from grace.

Tastefully Yours' Go Min Si's underage drinking revisited amid school bullying and money extortion allegations
On May 26, a post made in an online forum accused actress Go xx of school bullying. Many fans then speculated that it referred to Go Min Si. To avoid a hate train, her agency quickly issued a statement, dismissing the claims as unfounded. But controversies do not die down so soon, right? Now her underage drinking details are being revisited, in an attempt to support the accuser's claims of the actress' questionable life choices in the past. Go Min Si's underage drinking incident at 17 resurfaced right when she's already under heavy scrutiny for school bullying and money extortion accusations. It made for a strong case for the Tastefully Yours' stars' being deemed a thoughtless brat. Even after her agency, Mystic Story, probed legal action against the people trying to malign her through spread of 'groundless' information 'lacking any factual basis', it didn't stop them from posting negative comments about her. Check out netizens' reaction to Go Min Si's underage drinking controversy The underage drinking issue first came to light during the time when Go Min Si wasn't as well-known as she is now, hence, the matter ended with an apology from her. With its resurfacing, netizens took to online discussion portal theqoo to express their shock at the incident being "passed quietly." Many said they had no idea of the actress having such a past until now. Some even said, "That's not normal for a 17 year old." Others thought the photos suggested she wasn't a first-time underage drinker, but rather someone who had done it habitually. They felt it wouldn't be surprising for someone to bully others, who indulged in alcoholism at 17. One of the comments also alleged that her popular drama, Youth of May, also starring Lee Do Hyun, helped her "clean up her image" following the drinking controversy. Go Min Si is currently appearing in Netflix's culinary romance drama Tastefully Yours, which has been showing an upward rating trend. It is even the fourth-most buzzworthy drama of the week. However, with her past controversies being dug up, it may potentially negatively impact her series' popularity.

Perfect Job on OTT: Netflix announces mystery horror fantasy series ft. Lee Jae-wook & Ko Min-si; Know details
Netflix just dropped some seriously cool news - a new Korean show is in the works, and it's called Perfect Job. It's got mystery, horror, fantasy, and a top-notch cast. Think: creepy job offers, a spooky boss, and lots of secrets waiting to unfold. What's Perfect Job all about? The main guy is Hyuk-jun, played by Lee Jae-wook (yep, the one from Alchemy of Souls). He's just a regular young man trying to earn some cash when he stumbles upon a part-time job that pays 50 times the usual hourly rate. Sounds like a dream, right? Not quite. The job is offered by a strange agency called 'Spyder Human Resource Center', and from the moment he signs up, weird stuff starts happening. Like, paranormal activity. Suddenly, this 'perfect job' turns into a nightmare, and Hyuk-jun's stuck right in the middle of it. Who else is in Perfect Job? Ko Min-si (Sweet Home, Youth of May) plays Yeon-joo, a no-nonsense investigator who's digging into what's really going on at this creepy company. Kim Min-ha (Pachinko) plays Ji-yoon, Hyuk-jun's brave younger sister. She's the type who says, 'Poverty's scarier than ghosts,' and honestly, mood. Lee Hee-jun (Badland Hunters) is the mysterious boss known only as Mr. S - the guy handing out the spooky job offers. Who's behind it? Perfect Job is directed by Kim Da-min, and the script is written by the people who worked on Urban Myths and Concrete Utopia. That means it's in very good hands. The executive producer is Han Jun-hee, known for D.P., which was a big hit on Netflix. Perfect Job is coming soon to Netflix. It's about scary jobs, family bonds, and figuring out whether some opportunities are too good to be true. (Spoiler: they usually are.) If you're into spooky mysteries with a bit of fantasy and great Korean storytelling, this one's for you. Stay tuned for more information on this!
