Kaizer Chiefs target an overrated, one-season wonder?
Kaizer Chiefs are scouring Africa for the best talent. However, their marquee target might have passed his sell-by date. Feisal Salum chipped in with an impressive 19 goals for Azam FC during the 2023-2024 campaign. That followed a glittering spell with Young Africans, where the talented playmaker collected consecutive trebles. A proven winner, Salum has 41 caps and four goals for his nation. The Zanzibar-born star hasn't replicated last season's form for Azam FC this time around. His last goal for the club came back in December 2024, and his side sits third in the Tanzanian Premier League, a massive 16 points adrift of leaders Young Africans. According to Goal, Feisal Salum is tempted by a move to link up with Nasreddine Nabi at Kaizer Chiefs. The 27-year-old Tanzanian midfield schemer worked alongside the Tunisian tactician at Young Africans. TWIST: Nasreddine Nabi's top target to REJECT Kaizer Chiefs?
Kaizer Chiefs are believed to be ready to attack the next transfer window aggressively in the near future. This in an effort to boost coach Nasreddine Nabi's chances of succeeding after a tough first season at Chiefs. In the two windows that he has been at the club for, Nabi has been backed with 10 signings. So far, there have been very few success stories from that 10 with some already rumoured for an exit. Some of the earliest recruits in Bongani Sam and Fiacre Ntwari might be amongst the first exits. There is also an element of doubt on the future of Bradley Cross, who has also failed to convince so far.
