National Brother's Day: Vasudha actress Priya Thakur talks about her bond with her brother

National Brothers Day, celebrated every year on May 24th, honours the special bond we share with our brothers — the silent protectors, mischievous companions, and lifelong friends who walk with us through every phase of life. From childhood games and friendly squabbles to life's deeper lessons and triumphs, brothers often leave a mark that words can't capture. Whether by blood or by choice, these relationships grow with us, becoming pillars of strength and shared nostalgia. On this heartfelt occasion, some of Zee TV's most beloved actress Priya Thakur from Vasudha expresses her gratitude, and celebrates the unspoken love that defines this sacred bond. Priya Thakur, who essays the role of Vasudha in Vasudha shared, 'For me, the bond with my brother is one of the purest and most grounding relationships in life. Growing up, I was his built-in protector, late-night storyteller, and he was the person who could read my silence better than anyone. We fought like all siblings do, over the TV remote or who got the last piece of chocolate. But behind every argument was a deep-rooted love and unshakable loyalty. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Trade Bitcoin & Ethereum – No Wallet Needed! He said, 'You're more than just your worst day, and you shine in ways that can't be measured.' That moment stayed with me forever. Even today, in the middle of my chaotic workdays, he's the one call that brings me back to myself. This Brother's Day, I plan to send him a surprise with passes for a weekend getaway so he can finally take a well-deserved break.' Rhea & Showik Spotted in Bandra with Chill Vibes & Boxes

Move over Bigg Boss, Zee TV's ‘Gori Chale Gaon' is bringing rural drama with a city twist; All you need to know

In a move that could change the Indian reality TV game, Banijay Asia is reportedly set to launch a new reality show on Zee TV, tentatively titled Gori Chale Gaon. The format? Urban glamour meets rural grit. Think Bigg Boss, but swap the luxury mansion for a mud house in Madhya Pradesh's Sehore village. Swap poolside gossip for milking cows and ploughing fields. And this time, it's 15 urban women celebrities who must survive without their comfort zones. What is Gori Chale Gaon? According to India Forums, this is a social experiment that meets the survival reality show. Gori Chale Gaon will drop 15 city-based female celebrities into a traditional Indian village, tasking them with living like locals, no phones, no assistants, no vanity vans. Contestants will cook on chulhas, fetch water manually, work on farms, and perform daily chores typical of rural Indian households. Inspired by Marathi hit Jau Bai Gaavat This format takes cues from Zee Marathi's popular show Jau Bai Gaavat, which aired on Zee Marathi from December 4, 2023, to February 11, 2024. Hosted by Hardeek Joshi, the show featured 11 urban women contestants who left their luxurious lifestyles behind to experience rural life in Bavdhan, Maharashtra. After 62 episodes, Ramsha Farooqui emerged as the winner of the inaugural season, taking home a prize of ₹20 lakhs. Why this is big: Banijay breaks away from Colors TV For years, Banijay Asia (under the aegis of Endemol Shine India) was the powerhouse behind Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi for Colors TV. But cracks appeared in 2023. Banijay's strategic deal with Zee TV, to create a format similar to Bigg Boss, reportedly didn't sit well with Colors' leadership. Sources say the relationship deteriorated fast. Although neither side has publicly confirmed the fallout, Banijay has currently halted the future seasons of Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi. As of now, there are unconfirmed talks of Bigg Boss moving to Sony TV for upcoming seasons. Banijay, meanwhile, is calling Gori Chale Gaon its 'fresh start', a project that is fully under its creative control and free from old constraints.

'Jagriti-Ek Nayi Subah' actress Rachana Mistry becomes the proud owner of her first car

Mumbai: Success comes to those who dare to dream, and something similar happened with actress Rachana Mistry, who is seen as Jagriti in the drama "Jagriti – Ek Nayi Subah" as she became the proud owner of her first brand-new car. Sharing her joy on this milestone moment, Mistry said, 'Owning my first car has always been a dream, and it feels absolutely surreal to finally make it come true. For me, it's more than just a vehicle—it stands as a symbol of years of hard work, persistence, and commitment to my journey as an actor. I've wished for this moment for as long as I can remember, and now that it's here, it feels deeply emotional and rewarding.' 'Being a part of 'Jagriti – Ek Nayi Subah' has truly been a turning point in my journey, and reaching this personal milestone right as the show completes 100 episodes post-leap makes it all the more special. I'm incredibly thankful for the love, support, and opportunities that have come my way. This is just one dream fulfilled—there are many more to go. But for now, this one will always hold a special place in my heart," she added. Shifting our focus to her journey as Jagriti in "Jagriti – Ek Nayi Subah", Kalikant Thakur (Aarya Babbar) has learned that Jagriti is Jaggu from the Chitta community, posing a new threat to her life. The show took a 12-year leap in February this year, adding some new faces to the cast. Reflecting on playing grown-up Jagriti, Mistry stated, 'Being part of Jagriti – Ek Nayi Subah is an incredible opportunity. Jagriti is now a survivor who transforms her vulnerabilities into strength. Adopted into a privileged family, she aspires to become an IPS officer, and believes she has the power to help the world and fight for justice. What I admire most is her unshakable determination to rise above challenges and embrace her true potential. Her inspiring journey is a reminder that it's possible to create a new beginning, and I hope her story resonates with viewers.' "Jagriti-Ek Nayi Subah" airs every day at 08:30 pm on Zee TV.
