‘Very Different' FBI Finale Leaves You With a ‘Lovely Cliffhanger,' Zeeko Zaki Warns — WATCH

It's been a minute since CBS' FBI has left its viewers with a season-ending cliffhanger. Well, that minute will soon be up. (VIDEO) What to Watch This Week: 50+ Premieres, Finales and More The Amazing Race Poll: Who Will Win Season 37? And Who Should? In the Season 7 finale — titled 'A New Day' and airing Tuesday, May 20 — after Jubal (played by Jeremy Sisto) narrowly escapes a calculated assault on a secret FBI office, the team discovers a rogue terrorist group has infiltrated the FBI. Unsure of who to trust, the team must work in the shadows to unmask the culprits threatening the sanctity of the New York field office. A terrorist group infiltrating the FBI? An unmasking of culprits? That alone sounds intense enough, but to hear cast member Zeeko Zaki tell it, 'A New Day' won't wrap up the season in a tidy bow. Speaking with TVLine West Coast Bureau Chief Dave Nemetz at this week's CBS Fest '25 event celebrating the release of the network's schedule for the 2025-26 TV season, Zaki worked the handheld (no silly 'tiny mic' here!) like a seasoned red carpet host while promising 'a really lovely cliffhanger coming up at the end of the season.' Leading up to said cliffie, OA's portrayer says in the video above, is 'a very different episode' that drops Jubal's team into 'a scenario that I really don't think anyone could have ever seen coming.' That, coupled with the cliffhanger, adds up to 'a very exciting finale,' Zaki says. While we had Zaki in our sights, we also invited him to offer an update on the OA/Gemma relationship, as well as share his expectations for the well-watched franchise's latest spinoff 'expansion,' currently titled CIA and starring Lucifer himself, Tom Ellis. Press play above to get Zaki's early thoughts on , for which he saw an early pilot script (back when it was going to launch as a springtime episode of FBI). Want scoop on , or for any other TV show? Beth Behrs Is ‘Grateful' That The Neighborhood Will Get the Proper Goodbye 2 Broke Girls Never Did

Beth Behrs sees a silver lining in The Neighborhood's renewal for an eighth but final season. As the sitcom vet noted on Instagram, her current CBS comedy — which co-stars Cedric the Entertainer, Max Greenfield and Tichina Arnold — now can plan the sort of proper series finale that 2 Broke Girls never got, when it was canceled in May 2017 a full month after its Season 6 finale aired. The Neighborhood Renewed for Final Season at CBS FBI's Zeeko Zaki Teases a 'Little Action Movie' for OA/Gemma, Shares Early Buzz on FBI: CIA Spinoff Pilot 'Most of my 20s were on #2BrokeGirls, almost all of my 30s were on #TheNeighborhood and I'll usher in my 40s as we end our story,' Behrs shared on Instagram Tuesday. '@KatDenningsss and I never got a goodbye or an end to our #2BrokeGirls story, and I'm just so grateful to @cbstv for a chance to say goodbye to GEMMA the right way.' Behrs went on to say that 'these last 7 years with my @theneighborhood family has been some of the most memorable of my life. We made it through Covid, strikes, elections… and came out stronger. Forever grateful to our entire cast and crew — here's to the best season yet!' CBS' 2 Broke Girls, which starred Behrs and Dennings as waitresses, headed into its Season 6 finale very much on the bubble. As such, the episode was not written as a series ender. 'This is not the end for these girls,' co-showrunner Michelle Nader said ahead of Broke Girls' April 17, 2017 finale. 'We're not finished and we don't want to be finished and I don't think the audience is finished. Obviously there's no guarantee that we will be back, but we did not write the episode as a series finale.' What turned out to be 2 Broke Girls' very final episode revolved around the premiere of Caroline's (Behrs) biopic and featured a fairly momentous turning point for Dennings' Max. 'This season for us was kind of… I don't want to say a reboot, but we kind of think of the show as just beginning in a way,' Nader said back then. 'With the girls [becoming] successful and finding love, it's opened up a whole new world for us.'Best of TVLine Yellowjackets Mysteries: An Up-to-Date List of the Series' Biggest Questions (and Answers?)
