Kylie Jenner Serves Serious '90s Nostalgia With Her ‘Deep French Manicure'
All products featured on Glamour are independently selected by Glamour editors. However, when you buy something through our retail links, Condé Nast may earn an affiliate '90s were an iconic time for beauty. We're talking frosted eye shadow, brown lipstick, and, of course, the infamous skinny brow. So it's no wonder Kylie Jenner decided to pull from this nostalgic era for her latest manicure. This nail look is simple, classic, and straight from the '90s. It's a French manicure with white tips and a nude base, but rather than a regular French or even a micro Frenchie (which pal Hailey Bieber wore recently), it's a thicker, chunkier white French tip. Jenner's go-to celebrity nail artist Zola Ganzorigt is the one responsible for this nostalgic manicure coined the 'Deep '90s French.' In an Instagram post, Ganzorigt shared that she pulled inspiration from the cover of a '90s issue of Nails Magazine, so it really is straight from that time. While square-shaped nails reigned supreme in the '90s and have stood the test of time, Jenner opted instead for medium-length almond-shaped tips to modernize the look and customize it to her liking. Here's some good news about this mani: It is so easy to recreate. The look is straightforward, making it ideal if you're a beginner DIY-ing your nails at home or if you prefer more minimalistic nail art. At the nail salon, you can expect a coat of a nude base followed by a couple coats of white on each nail tip. Your nail artist will then use a small nail brush to shape the French tip to perfection. If you're doing it at home, there are even French manicure stamp tools you can buy to simply press the shape onto your nails. It literally couldn't be easier, which is great news, because we're definitely going to need to copy this look ASAP. Saviland French Tip Nail Stamp $10.00, Amazon Essie Nail Polish in Snowy White $10.00, Amazon Jenner is a big fan of a good French mani lately. From disco polka-dot nails and studded Frenchies to a twisted French, she's leaning into the look big time. While her previous French manicures have been more intricate with added designs, her deep '90s French is a slight departure from that in its simplicity. Nail minimalists will be on board. Jenner's also been trying other retro vibes lately. She's been spotted multiple times this summer wearing the season's hottest fashion pattern: polka dots. The beauty mogul wears and curates a lot of vintage pieces, so we can't say we're surprised. After all, who doesn't love a bit of nostalgia? Kylie Jenner Wears a 'Deep '90s French' Manicure
Kylie Jenner is betting on a new version of an old trend this summer. Add in Zola Ganzorigt, the nail artist who gave the world Hailey Bieber's glazed donut nails and essentially every other viral style out there? Well, then you've got summer's next biggest nail trend, the Deep French. Ganzorigt shared a close-up of the look, along with the inspiration: The cover of an issue of Nails magazine from June 1997, where you can see two hands with a Deep French manicure. Instagram content This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from. The French manicure can be divided into two parts: The base coat, which is typically whatever version of nude polish works best for you; and the 'smile line,' ie the painted white line that falls somewhere between the nail bed and the tip of the nail. In recent years, there have been dozens of variations of the classic style, including the American manicure (where the smile like is less crisp), the Micro French, and the fun French. That brings us back to the manicure of the moment, the Deep French. For Jenner's version, Ganzorigt went with a neutral pink for the base coat and set off the tips with a bright, sharp smile line that starts almost mid-nail. The result is a punchy, fun take on the most universial manicure of all. Have a beauty or wellness trend you're curious about? We want to know! Vanessa Hudgens' Pregnancy Announcement Also Debuted the Juiciest Manicure of Summer 2025
Vanessa Hudgens is pregnant with baby number two—but that's not all she revealed with her big Instagram announcement. On July 12, Hudgens shared that she's expecting her second baby with husband Cole Tucker, a former Major League Baseball player she met over Zoom in 2020. The couple welcomed their first child in July 2024, though the parents have yet to reveal the one-year-old's name or gender. 'Round two!!!!' Hudgens captioned a slideshow of photos with her husband, who was dressed in a white tee-shirt and grey pants. In the portraits, Hudgens wore a cream eyelet boho skirt set, leaving the tank top half-way unbuttoned to reveal her growing baby bump. Hudgens styled the breezy summer look with a stack of resin and gold bangles, a diamond belly button ring, and plenty of rings on her left hand, which she used to point towards her baby bump in the second and third photo. The images also teased her latest manicure, though her followers could only see the pinkish tone of one glossy, coffin-shaped nail in the last two images. Luckily celebrity nail artist Zola Ganzorigt came through with a closer look, who revealed the full set of 'guava glaze' nails on her own Instagram feed. In a video set to 'Sugar! Honey! Love!,' Ganzorigt revealed a multi-chromatic manicure that shifts between pink and green similar to that of the juicy tropical fruit. Though she did not share her process on Insta, Ganzorigt seemingly topping off the cat-eye nails with chrome powder to create her signature glazed finish. Congratulations are certainly in order for Vanessa Hudgens. Mostly for her pregnancy, but also for having one of the most whimsical manicures I've seen since princess nails took over everyone's FYPs. While we come to expect food and drink-inspired manicures from another one of Ganzorigt's high-profile clients, Hudgens' set just soared to the top of my summer 2025 vision board. Fruit Water Nails: It's Official, This Manicure Will Be Our #1 Nail Inspiration This Summer
Skip to main content The promise? A manicure as refreshing and glowy as the pulp of a summer fruit May 21, 2025 After the rise of fruit-shaped nails last summer, the nail trend of 2025 has set its sights on a new gourmet variation: 'Fruit Water Nails.' Inspired by the juicy glow of summer fruits, this nail inspiration promises to be a beauty go-to this season. This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from. For the past two years, summer manicures have been all about fruit. In fact, fruity manicures were already trending back in summer 2024, as evidenced by 'farmer market' nails imagined by nail-artist Zola Ganzorigt for Hailey Bieber. Blueberries, cherries, strawberries and lemons were all featured on the nails, and this year, fruit is back — but with a twist: 'Fruit Water Nails,' where nail artists draw inspiration from the colour, rather than the shape, of fruit. This is the very first nail polish with a glossy, watery finish. This innovative texture, reminiscent of the subtle glow fruit-infused water, has given rise to the famous "Fruit Water Nails" trend, used by nail artists all over the world. This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from. The pink hue of a juicy strawberry, the orange tint of a fresh melon, the red of a ripe cherry... fruity colours are the main source of inspiration for nail artists this summer. The concept? A luminous, watery manicure, reminiscent of fresh fruit juice. Aptly named 'Water Fruit Nails,' these nails offer a subtly gelled shade, oscillating between transparency and soft colour. The result is comparable to that of a lip oil: discreet, elegant, silky and powerful. Radiant and refined, 'Water Fruit Nails' are sure to be the most popular manicure in salons this summer. A winning formula that's easy to replicate at home, here are the prettiest options from Instagram. 1. Strawberry This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from. 2.
