Wild scenes as a BABY becomes caught up in a vicious street brawl between two women in Aussie outback town

Shocking footage has emerged of two women brawling in the street as another tried to break them apart while holding a baby. The women traded blows and pulled each other's hair during the scuffle in broad daylight on the side of a road in Mount Isa in north-west Queensland. One of the women pulled the other onto a nearby footpath by her hair as another standing nearby holding a baby on her hip ordered her to let go. A fourth woman who was filming approached and yelled at the bystander to 'move the baby'. 'I'm trying to stop them,' she yelled back. The mention of the baby temporarily defused the situation before tensions escalated moments later. The brawling women continued punching until the woman filming finally stepped in to break it up. 'Knock it off,' she ordered them. Once the women separated, one could be heard yelling to the other: 'Why did you pull my hair?' It's understood no arrests or charges have been laid. The latest incident is in the wake of several other public brawls in Mount Isa, leading to rising concerns about violent crime in the area, the Courier Mail reported. In a separate fight which was also filmed, two women were seen punching each other as a crowd of onlookers watched on. The woman filming the punch-up was heard saying, 'Hurry up, come on, both wanna (sic) smash each other, hurry the f**k up'. Both incidents followed a massive brawl involving 30 adults near Mount Isa Hospital on May 9. Four women were charged with public nuisance. A week later, footage emerged of multiple people stomping on and punching a person in the early hours of the morning. Crime has almost doubled in Mount Isa in the last decade, according to Queensland Police data. Statistics showed 13,731 offences were committed in Mount Isa in 2024 compared to 8,160 in 2014. The town 's crime rate has increased much quicker than its population, estimated to be around 19,000. It's understood no charges were laid of the two latest fights.

Surprising scenes in court between an Aussie tourist and Bali security guards involved in wild brawl at a world famous beach club

An Aussie tourist who faces up to five years behind bars in Bali over a violent brawl has forgiven the security guards he's accused of assaulting. Mohamed Rifai, 27, from Sydney 's south-west, appeared Denpasar District Court on Tuesday to continue his testimony about the February 11 melee. He and eight security guards remain in custody over the brawl outside Finns Beach Club in north Kuta which involved up to 15 security staff and five Australian tourists. Rifai claimed he acted in self-defence while he was allegedly attacked by the security guards after they escorted his friend John Ebid from the club. He is accused of inflicting major injuries on security staff, including Made Bagus Yohanandita, who suffered head injuries and lost several teeth. In a surprise twist, Rifai shook hands and embraced all eight co-accused security guards in front of the judge after giving evidence against them on Tuesday. At the end of his testimony, the judge asked Rifai, 'Will you forgive them?', referring to the guards who were also standing trial. 'Yes, I will,' Rifai said. The judge responded: 'Please, all of you forgive each other. During his victim testimony, Rifai recalled how by Mr Ebid's removal. 'I was in the main pool and saw my friend being taken out so I approached him (a security guard),' he told the court. 'I asked what happened and he said to let him take him (Mr Ebid) but then they did the same thing to me.' When asked if the security used any weapons, Rifai claimed they used bamboo. '(I was hit) in my face, my head, almost all my body,' he said. 'They kicked my stomach also.' Rifai added he had been to Finns Beach Club 'several times' with family and friends and had 'never had a bad experience before'. Rifai is facing five years in Indonesian jail for the injuries security guard Made Bagus Yohanandita suffered in the alleged fight The eight security guards charged over the brawl are I Gede Laksemana Aryawan, I Gusti Putu Agus Surya Negara, Wayan Alit Junaedi, I Made Ivan Darma Saputra, I Nengah Dading Gunadi, I Gede Ngurah Alit Sujana, I Ketut Gede Mawantara and I Nyoman Mertayasa. 'I' is a common prefix used to indicate the person is a male, compared to 'Ni' which is used for women. The court heard all eight security guards and Rifai had signed a 'peace agreement', witnessed by police, following the brawl. The eight staff have been charged with assault causing minor injuries and each face up to two years and eight months behind bars if found guilty. Rifai faces five years in Indonesian jail for the injuries Mr Yohanandita suffered in the altercation. However he claims it was another security guard who laid the damaging blow. When Rifai was asked who he hit and how many punches he threw on February 11, he said 'everything was chaos'. 'I don't remember. Many people attacked me, I just tried to defend myself,' he told the court. 'I feel sorry for what I have done because the situation was chaos at that time.' Rifai's trial will continue on June 3. It's understood the apologies exchanged between the parties in court on Tuesday could lead to lighter sentences if convicted.

Couples' wild brawl at Melbourne intersection caught on dashcam

A wild roadside brawl in Melbourne has been captured on dashcam footage, with what appears to be two couples throwing fists at an intersection. The video was posted in a Facebook group in Melbourne's north with locals identifying the intersection at Thomastown entering the Ring Road. The video begins with a man leaving his car to approach a silver Ford sedan, prompting the woman on the passenger's side to also get out in traffic. The first man grabs the driver by the shirt while his female partner dressed in a pink top starts to scuffle with the woman, who appeared to attempt to stop the fight. The male driver of the Ford can be seen with his shirt ripped as the first man continues to throw punches. A man and woman who captured the brawl on their dashcam can be heard shouting 'go' as the brawl comes closer to their vehicle. They drive through the lights and the video ends. A person in the comments section claimed they were driving behind one of the vehicles when the incident took place. They said one of the drivers was 'driving erratically and cut me off first and only missed hitting the front of my car by a few inches'. They also claimed the Ford had 'kids in the car'.

BREAKING NEWS Huge update after brawl between rival gangs plunged Northland Shopping Centre into lockdown - as Jacinta Allan brings forward ban on dangerous weapon

Two teenagers have been charged after a violent brawl broke out between rival gang members armed with machetes and forced a shopping centre into lockdown. Two boys, aged 15 and 16, have been charged, while another male, 20, was rushed to hospital following the brawl about 2.30pm at Northland Shopping Centre in Melbourne 's north. The teenagers were charged with affray, intentionally cause injury, possess controlled weapon and use controlled weapon and have been remanded to appear in a children's court at a later date. The charges come as premier Jacinta Allan prepares to hold a snap press conference at 8am on Monday to announce a machete ban will be expedited. The ban was initially set to be enforced in four months on September 1, however Allan will use the press conference to announce new powers for police. Superintendent Kelly Lawson confirmed the attack was not random, saying rival gangs had arranged a meeting at the centre's food court before the fight erupted. 'It is said to have been an act of retaliation,' she said. Police believe about 10 people were involved, some armed with knives. There were no firearms involved. 'It was a chaotic scene,' Supt Lawson added. 'It's really frightening for members of the public to go through this.' The centre was locked down during the incident as dozens of police officers responded and shoppers shared updates on social media. The man taken to hospital is in a stable condition. Two other males have since self-presented to hospital with injuries.
