Diddy trial name-drops more celebs as ‘victim Mia' mentions them in tragic testimony about rapper's ‘violent outbursts'
WEEK three of Sean "Diddy" Combs' trial is coming to a close with explosive testimony from his former assistant. The alleged victim, speaking in court under the pseudonym Mia, broke down sobbing on the stand on Thursday as she told jurors how Combs climbed into a bunk bed with her and sexually assaulted her. 3 3 3 Day 13 of the trial is kicking off after jurors heard about Combs ' alleged bombing of Kid Cudi's car and his threats to "kill" the rival rapper for dating his ex-girlfriend, Cassandra "Cassie" Ventura. Mia is just one of Combs' many former employees who have taken the stand, but the first witness who has opted to remain anonymous. On Thursday, she testified about Combs' violent behavior towards her and his other staff, as well as the abuse she saw from him to Ventura. She told the court Combs would hurl items at her when he didn't get his way and that he sexually assaulted her more than once. In a trial that's been riddled with details of luxury celebrity status and A-list parties, Mia joined other witnesses in name-dropping stars throughout her testimony. She told the court that Combs threw a computer at her head after the wifi went out on the device while he was in a trial with producer Swizz Beatz. As she tried to solve the problem, Mia testified Combs barked at her that she needed to fix it even if she needed to "talk to Bill Gates." Former NFL linebacker Andre Branch was also brought up as it was revealed in court that Ventura was dating him in 2015 when she was introduced to actor Michael B. Jordan, who she ended up dating. Mia testified that one of Combs' security guards had to stop the rapper from physically assaulting Ventura at a party thrown by rock icon Prince. During her direct examination, Mia also mentioned working for designer Georgina Chapman, the ex-wife of Harvey Weinstein, and was an assistant for actor Mike Myers. Combs has pleaded not guilty to all charges as prosecutors continue to paint him as the ringleader of a criminal enterprise. He has denied all allegations against him and insists he's only engaged in consensual sex. Sean ‘Diddy' Combs' chilling threat to Cassie as she partied with Rita Ora
An 'enraged' Sean 'Diddy' Combs once repeatedly struck his longtime girlfriend Cassie Ventura 'pretty hard' in front of her friends because she didn't answer her phone, a celebrity stylist testified Wednesday. Deonte Nash told jurors at Combs' bombshell federal trial in Manhattan that he witnessed the disgraced music mogul fly into a violent rage in Ventura's apartment as the stylist was helping her pack for a trip in 2013. 'B–h, didn't I tell you to answer the phone?' Nash recounted Combs saying. He 'grabbed her by the hair, pulled her off the couch and started hitting her,' the stylist said. The alleged ordeal, which unfolded as Ventura was prepping to leave for Drake's OVO festival in Toronto, took place in front of the stylist and a handful of others, Nash testified. Nash — who was Ventura's long-time stylist and considered them close friends — also told jurors that Combs tried to control every aspect of his then-girlfriend's life. He once forced the R&B singer to come home from a 2013 night out at a Los Angeles gay club because he was angry she'd gone there with Nash, singer Rita Ora and Cheetah Girls singer Adrienne Bailon-Houghton. The celebrity stylist told jurors they were at the club when Ventura took a call from Combs on speakerphone during which he allegedly told her that 'she better bring her ass to his house.' 'She started to panic,' Nash told the jury. 'Then [Combs] called back and he talked to me and told me that we were wildin' and that he thought he told us not to be going out since every time I go out that b–h wanna go.' Nash testified that Ventura 'just packed her stuff and went to his house.' The stylist, who also worked for Combs from 2008 to 2018, said this was one of two times the disgraced Bad Boy Records founder had told him and Ventura that they needed permission from him before going out. The 'I'll Be Missing You' rapper even got violent with Nash a 'few' times, including once choking him for going out with Ventura, he testified. Combs 'threw me on the car and started choking me out,' Nash testified of the incident that allegedly took place in 2013 while Ventura was shooting a music video for her song 'I Love It.' As Ventura's stylist, Nash said he had to repeatedly seek approval from Combs for her outfits and appearance. He alleged, too, that an irate Combs once put his hands on him before the 2014 Vanity Fair Oscars party after the rapper blew up because Ventura had opted to wear her hair down. 'She looked bomb … Her hair was long,' Nash said, alleging that a fuming Combs told him: 'I thought I told you to keep her hair up.' Combs then 'grabbed me by my jacket and lifted me up,' he testified. Once Nash had pinned Ventura's hair up, he said Combs declared: 'I was right, it looks better that way.' Nash — who noted he spent almost every day with Ventura — alleged he also constantly overheard Combs berating and threatening his then-girlfriend. Asked what threats he overheard, the stylist responded: 'That he would beat her ass. That he wouldn't put her music out. That he would get her parents fired from her jobs and that he would send her sex tapes to their jobs.' 'He told her she was nothing but a s–t anyway,' Nash added. The stylist testified, too, that the alleged abuse drove Ventura 'crazy.' 'She would be super emotional, would cry, sometimes she would just stay in the house for days and go into a cocoon,' he said. It got to the point that Nash said he'd help Ventura 'hide' at hotels to get away from Combs' violent moods — 'too many [times] to count,' he testified. When the hip hop artist couldn't find his on-and-off girlfriend, he 'would blow everyone's phones up and threaten everybody' to try to get her to come home, Nash testified. 'He would call incessantly,' saying 'that we needed to get back to the house,' Nash recounted. Combs, 55, has pleaded not guilty to charges including racketeering conspiracy and sex-trafficking. He could face life in prison, if convicted.

Why Deborra-Lee Furness' ‘insightful' statement could also be a big mistake
After almost two years of dignified silence, it's been a dramatic 24 hours for celebrity exes Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness. Yesterday morning came a big update in the pair's split, some 20 months after they both announced they were going their separate ways after 27 years of marriage: Furness had officially filed for divorce, the pair having come to an agreement that is reported to include a 'handsome payment'. Hours later, an update nobody saw coming: Furness released an explosive statement about the split to the Daily Mail, calling out an 'traumatic journey of betrayal' that 'cut deep'. She said the 'breakdown' of the couple's marriage had been 'a profound wound', but also suggested she was better off single. All eyes were then on Jackman, who hours later posted an apparently unrelated video of him nailing a complicated jumprope routine during a stage show. The song he was dancing to? N*Sync's break-up anthem Bye Bye Bye. It didn't seem like it would turn out this way when the former couple released their PR-managed joint break-up statement back in September 2023, filled with therapy-speak about 'navigating [the] transition' with 'gratitude, love and kindness'. They signed off that announcement with a promise: 'This is the sole statement either of us will make.' Sydney divorce lawyer and founder of Kalpaxis Legal, Cassandra Kalpaxis, told today that Furness' public statement was a reminder that 'raw emotions' are involved in even the most amicable of divorces. 'Amicable divorces are common, but that doesn't mean the people involved weren't hurt during the relationship or the separation. It simply means they're choosing to prioritise getting through the process quickly and respectfully over trying to emotionally damage one another,' Kalpaxis said. She described Furness' surprise statement as 'insightful'. 'It's a reminder to those of us working in this space that divorce is really an emotional process, not just a legal one. Around 80 per cent of separation is about emotion. You're detaching from another person, and your nervous system needs to reset from that connection, those routines, the familiar voice, and shared behaviours.' Speaking broadly, Ms Kalpaxis did concede that hurting parties can run into trouble when they air their grievances so publicly – particularly in a split as high-profile as this one. 'When I work with high-profile clients, I always advise them not to speak publicly about the split. It's never received the way it's intended, not by the media, friends, or family, because context and tone are everything,' she said. 'Things are easily misinterpreted, and that one comment can get back to the other person, be taken the wrong way, and spark acrimony. That's often how amicable divorces turn acrimonious.' Ms Kalpaxis also said that a number of factors would've been taken into account to calculate the terms of the former couple's divorce settlement – among them, Jackman's earning power as a Hollywood A-lister, and their respective ages (Jackman is 56; Furness 69). 'For someone like Deb, who's a little older than Hugh, we'd expect her age and her future earning capacity to be taken into account. Similarly, his greater capacity to earn moving forward would also be factored into the overall division,' she speculated. And Ms Kalpaxis offered some simple advice for any couple – A-list or otherwise – looking to keep things amicable as they navigated a split. 'One of the key ingredients to an amicable split is acknowledging the hurt that may have been caused, whether or not you agree with the other person's perspective. People have different lived experiences of the same relationship,' she said. If both people can accept that their behaviour wasn't perfect, and let's face it, none of us are perfect all the time, and still commit to getting through the process in a fair and respectful way, then that really lays the groundwork for an amicable separation.'

Maria Bello files for divorce from French chef wife Dominique Crenn after one year of marriage
Maria Bello has filed for divorce from French chef Dominique Crenn. The Coyote Ugly star, 58, is calling it quits on her marriage with Dominique, 60, after one year, according to TMZ. The actress filed for divorce on Wednesday, listing April 7 as their separation date, precisely one year after they said 'I do.' Maria cited 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for their split. The star confirmed there are no child custody or support matters to resolve, since the two have no minor children together. It's unclear if the estranged pair signed a prenup. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Maria is requesting that mediation costs be shared with her estranged wife, and states that spousal support terms are to be outlined in a separate written agreement. The actress first went public with Dominique in 2020, announcing that they had gotten engaged the previous year. In April 2024, they were both seen flashing their rings at the Time 100 Gala, leading to speculation they had already exchanged vows. The two confirmed their wedding last May, with Maria revealing she and Dominique held their 'bohemian, chic' nuptials in Cabo San Lucas with 140 loved ones in attendance. Their guest list included Mariska Hargitay, Gavin Rossdale, Vanessa Getty and Oscar-winner Patricia Arquette, Maria told People. The pair spent a chunk of their engagement in Mexico during the COVID-19 lockdowns, and the nation became their 'home away from home,' they said. For their venue, they selected the Montage Los Cabos in Cabo San Lucas, which they fell in love with in part because of the 'stunning' vistas on view. During the ceremony, Dominique arrived to the Prince song KISS, accompanied by her 10-year-old daughters from a previous marriage and by her ex-mother-in-law, who is the children's grandmother. Maria then appeared to Burna Boy's Time Flies, along with her son Jackson McDermott, 23, whom she had with studio executive Dan McDermott. For her grand entrance at her wedding ceremony, Maria was also joined by her mother Kathy Bello, a teacher and nurse. Dominique, the first woman chef to earn three Michelin stars in the United States, got engaged to Maria in December 2019 while on holiday in Paris. Early in their relationship, the couple weathered a frightening storm together when Dominique was diagnosed with breast cancer. Dominique — who served as a consultant for the Ralph Fiennes film, 'The Menu' — recalled that upon hearing the news, Maria told her: 'I'm here and I'm going to be here for all the time during the time of this.' 'Listen, I just knew. I just knew and so did she,' Maria explained to People, saying she had 'never smiled as much' before as she did during her time with Dominique. They announced their engagement at Elton John's Oscars viewing party in February 2020, and later that night posed side by side at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. In 2013 Maria wrote about love in a New York Times essay. She was dating Clare Munn at the time; they were together from 2011 until 2016. 'I didn't think of it as romantic or sexual,' she wrote. 'She was one of the most beautiful, charming, brilliant and funny people I had ever met.' 'But it didn't occur to me that we could perhaps choose to love each other romantically.' She also said, 'Love is love.' The blonde beauty has also dated McDermott - from 1999 to 2006 - and together they have son Jackson. Bellow was with Bryn Mooser from 2008 until 2010. After Maria split from Munn in 2016, she also dated Elijah Allan-Blitz.
