Police seek 4 teens in shooting that wounded bystander near Wrigley Field

Chicago Police have issued a community alert asking for help in finding four teens wanted in a shooting that wounded a bystander right across from Wrigley Field last month. Police said a 26-year-old man was shot in the arm around 7 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at Sheffield and Waveland avenues, across from the northeast corner of the ballpark and near the famous Murphy's Bleachers bar. Witnesses described a group of teens getting into a quarrel next to Murphy's Bleachers before the shooting. Police have identified four boys believed to be between the ages of 15 and 17, all of whom they say were involved in discharging the gun. Police released surveillance video of the teenage boys on an 'L' train. Chicago Police Chicago police took a person of interest in custody right after the shooting, but that person was released without charges the following day. Anyone with information about the boys being sought in the shooting is asked to call Belmont Area detectives at 312-744-8261, or submit an anonymous tip to and use reference #JJ-256188.

Taliayh is 4 feet tall and 40 pounds, and was last seen wearing a purple shirt, pink leggings, and black Nike gym shoes. She has black hair with braids and blue beads. Anyone who sees them is asked to call Area 2 special victims unit detectives at 312-747-8274.

A community care team in Hong Kong has issued an alert to parents following reports of two men approaching schoolgirls on the street in Yuen Long and offering them free food and to accompany them home. The Pat Heung North Care Team posted a message on Facebook on Monday saying it had been notified by some schools that two men, estimated to be about 18 to 20 years old, had been seen approaching girls of primary school age near Yuen Long Children's Playground on Yuen Long Hong Lok Road. They tried to strike up conversations and offer food or gifts and even to accompany the girls home, the team said, adding it was unclear what the men's intentions were. Two incidents occurred on separate days last month, a source said. On each occasion, a girl was approached by a man about 20 years old after attending tutoring sessions, according to the insider. The identity of the man remained unknown, and no police report has been filed, the source said, adding no criminal element was involved and the parents of both girls had raised concerns with the school principals. The Yuen Long police district has also stepped up patrols and monitoring in the area.

School warns parents to be vigilant after man ‘riding a small child's bicycle' tries to grab girl in park

A PRIMARY school has posted a warning to parents after reports a man tried to grab a young girl near a park. The school, which teaches children aged two to eleven, said that the warning had been sent out to all schools in the local area. Two young girls were allegedly approached by an adult man described as Asian, wearing a black tracksuit and riding a small child's bicycle. He was acting in an "inappropriate manner" and made an "offensive comment" before trying to grab one of the girls. They urged parents and carers to "remain vigilant" and remind children to "avoid speaking to strangers," as well as reporting anything suspicious to a trusted adult or the authorities. Councillor Emily Mort said that the Tonge and Haulgh councillors were aware of the reports which were made to police this morning. She told Bolton News: 'There's not a lot I can say except to reassure the community that the police are aware and actively dealing with it.' 2 Tonge Moor Academy in Brierwood, Bolton issued the following statement: "We would like to make you aware of a concerning incident that recently occurred near Tonge Moor Park. "Two young girls were approached by an adult male, described as Asian, wearing a black tracksuit and riding a small child's bicycle. "The man attempted to engage them in an inappropriate manner and made an offensive comment. He then tried to grab one of the girls. "The girls were able to run away and safely reach a nearby home. "It has also been brought to our attention that similar incidents involving a man matching this description may have occurred previously in the area. "We urge all parents and carers to remain vigilant and remind children to avoid speaking to strangers, and report anything suspicious immediately to a trusted adult or the authorities."
