Timely reporting will help schools operate more effectively, and any deviation will be immediately reflected without manual intervention. Initially, the process will be rolled out in CM Schools of Excellence and block-level model schools. However, within a week, it will be extended to all schools," education secretary Umashankar Singh said. Principals and headmasters have been instructed to regularly monitor attendance records and ensure compliance. Teachers have also been advised to log their attendance within the stipulated time each day to avoid unnecessary deductions from their leave accounts. Around 10,000 teachers are employed across 80 CM Schools of Excellence and 325 block-level model schools. Singh, said, "The initiative has been started following multiple complaints regarding teacher attendance. Additionally, information about teachers taking leave must also be uploaded to the portal. " Further, 75% student attendance has been made mandatory. Headmasters have been directed to monitor attendance monthly and send notices to the parents of children falling below the attendance threshold.
