Motorcyclist killed in two-vehicle crash in Kingston, Ont.

A 36-year-old motorcyclist died in hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Kingston, Ont. this weekend. Emergency crews responded to a collision involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle at the intersection of Brock Street and Palace Road at approximately 6 p.m. Saturday. Police say the investigation shows a motorcyclist travelling southbound on Palace Road struck the side of a pickup truck that was travelling westbound on Brock Street. The 36-year-old driver of the motorcycle was transported to hospital, where they were pronounced deceased. Police say the investigation is ongoing.

A man is dead, and a woman is in critical condition after two vehicles collided, causing one to crash into two pedestrians near Square One mall in Mississauga on Saturday morning. Emergency crews responded just before 10:30 a.m. to the area of Burnhamthorpe Road West and Kariya Drive for a vehicle that reportedly struck 'multiple pedestrians.' crash The vehicle at the scene of a collision where multiple people were struck (CTV Toronto photo). Peel police said two vehicles were involved in a collision at the intersection, and one 'slid into the southeast corner, where two pedestrians were waiting to cross.' One pedestrian, a man believed to be in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Islanders are being warned to take care while driving after several crashes which police are blaming on "hazardous driving conditions".The States of Jersey Police (SOJP) said prolonged dry weather followed by recent rainfall had made the roads slippery due to a build-up of oil and injuries were reported but emergency crews are reminding drivers that even light rain can significantly reduce traction and increase stopping Lawrence Courtness, from SOJP, said road users should "drive to the conditions". "After a dry period, the first rain can lift oil and grime to the surface, making roads slick and unpredictable," he added."We're asking all road users to slow down, allow extra space, and drive to the conditions."

One charged, minor injuries reported in rollover

The scene of a reported crash in Midland, Ont., on Wed., June 4, 2025. Police responded to a crash on Highway 12 near Jones road in Midland on Wednesday that resulted in a red SUV getting flipped upside down. Video supplied to CTV News by a viewer shows a red SUV upside down on the side of the road with its airbags deployed and emergency crews at the scene. According to Southern Georgian Bay OPP, one person was charged with careless driving and sustained minor injuries. The area was closed as crews worked on the scene and police say it will be reopened once the vehicle is extricated.
