‘Same incompetence every time' – Scotland fans left raging at ticket shambles that forces SFA to CANCEL all sales

The SFA have released a statement on the issue TICKET FARCE 'Same incompetence every time' – Scotland fans left raging at ticket shambles that forces SFA to CANCEL all sales SCOTLAND fans have been left fuming after a ticket cock-up saw all sales for the trip to Denmark CANCELLED. The SFA started to sell briefs for the World Cup qualifier away to the Danes on September 5 this morning. 2 Steve Clarke aims to lead Scotland to the World Cup Credit: Kenny Ramsay 2 Scotland fans are not happy with ticket shambles Credit: Rex But hours later they informed all members of the Scotland Supporters Club who had managed to secure seats that their tickets were no longer valid. Hampden chiefs blamed a "technical error" that allowed fans who didn't have enough points to buy tickets in the sale that was meant to be restricted to those with between 32 and 21 points. An SFA message explaining the issue said: "The Scottish FA is aware of a technical error that occurred during this morning's ticket sale for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qualifying match against Denmark, which allowed purchase by some Scotland Supporters Club (SSC) members who were not eligible during the window that was reserved for those with 32-21 Points. "As a result, we will regrettably need to restart the sales process from scratch in the interest of fairness, with any purchase that was made today being cancelled and refunded. "The new sale will commence at 10am on Wednesday, 23 July. "The SFA would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused to supporters." The news angered many fans, with some complaining that the new sale time could mean they now miss out on a ticket. One fan said: "How hard is it for them to do the right thing first time. "They've had a week to set it up? And only have to do it 5 times a year... It's the same incompetence every time." Another fan said sarcastically: "Ahhh great! Working tomorrow afternoon when tickets go on sale to those on 20+ points and above which means it'll be harder for me to get my ticket. Cheers." The away trip to Denmark kicks off Scotland's World Cup qualifying campaign. Three days later Steve Clarke's men are on the road again when they face Belarus - with the game to be played in Hungary. They then have a home double header against Greece and Belarus on October 9 and 12. A trip to Greece is next on November 15 before the campaign ends at Hampden Park against the Danes on November 18. SPFL manager reveals why he let two players quit club without kicking a ball just weeks after signing them

But BOTH of them are now already signed by different clubs. Kilby were promoted to League Two last season after coming through the play-offs. Former Edinburgh City striker - and Love Island star - Ouzy See, ex-Celtic kid Lewis Dobbie and former Stirling Albion defender Erik Sula are among the players to have arrived. East Kilbride also snapped up Josh O'Connor and Mouhamed Niang three weeks ago. Former Hibs kid O'Connor - son of former Hibees and Scotland star Garry - joined from Crusaders in Northern Ireland while Niang arrived from Dumbarton. But just a few weeks on, NONE of them are East Kilbride players. O'Connor, in fact, has already played for Elgin City - even featuring AGAINST East Kilbride at the weekend there. Niang has just been signed by Clyde. Now, East Kilbride boss Mick Kennedy has explained why both players left the club just weeks after signing up. He's revealed he couldn't give either player a guarantee they'd be starters. Darvel manager Mick Kennedy inspires players ahead of Aberdeen Scottish Cup shock After further conversations with the players, Kennedy agreed that both could move on. He told East Kilbride News: "When the boys came in, we had conversations quite early on and they were concerned about their ability to play once they were in amongst the group, and we were just honest with them. "Niang, in particular, was looking for assurances that he was going to be guaranteed to play every week but I just explained to him that wasn't going to happen. "I don't think anyone gets those assurances at East Kilbride. "So he just asked that, if that was the case, could he move on? And I said: 'Yeah, of course.' "Josh was slightly behind the group when he came in and, after conversations with his agent, there was just a bit of concern that he was going to take a bit of time to get up to speed and be in a position to play. "There was a nervousness there that with his next move he had to be playing week in, week out, and we weren't convinced that would happen, especially early on. "So they asked if they could pursue another option and we said 'of course'. "Ultimately, I just want people to be happy playing football, whether that is at East Kilbride or somewhere else. "There certainly was no-one forcing them out the club or asking them to leave. "I think they've maybe come in and assessed the standard that is here, the boys just felt that they wanted to be guaranteed to play. "With the window still open, we felt it was best to give them another option and gives us time to get one or two players in." Major Michel-Ange Balikwisha to Celtic update as agent speaks out on potential transfer deal and reveals player's stance

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) MICHEL-ANGE BALIKWISHA has been a constant name in the Celtic transfer circles for much of the past year. But it looks like the Hoops might be no closer to landing the winger. Nicolas Kuhn has left Parkhead to join Como while big January signing Jota is out injured until next year. Celtic's link to Antwerp attacker Balikwisha just hasn't gone away. Fuel was added to the fire last week too when the 24-year old sat out training with the Belgian club. He has, however, gone on to feature in their pre-season matches. Earlier this month, reports out of the country suggested that the Hoops were getting close to an agreement with Antwerp for Balikwisha. However, that might not be the case after all. Balikwisha's agent has claimed the player would be interested in a move to Celtic. But he says that there are NO conversations between the clubs regarding the player. Agent Jibril Rekkab told the Daily Record: "Michel-Ange is not closed to the idea of joining Celtic, but the club would still have to come forward. Inside ex-Celtic and Scotland star's £3m property empire as free agent spends almost £1m on two properties in St Andrews "No discussions are underway." Over the weekend, Antwerp boss Stefan Wils admitted Balikwisha could be sold. Celtic bid farewell to yet another winger at the beginning of this week. Luis Palma sealed a loan move to Polish champions Lech Poznan on Monday. The Honduras international was largely frozen out under Brendan Rodgers last season and spent the second half of the campaign on loan at Olympiacos. But the Greek giants neglected to sign the 25-year old permanently and he'll now be playing his football in Poland instead. Palma could be thrust straight into the action tonight when Lech Poznan take on Icelandic champions Breidablik in a Champions League qualifier. 3 Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page

Rangers star Hamza Igamane becomes ‘priority target' for club set to cash in on their £20m striker

Rennes are believed to be looking for a new hitman, as they aim to improve on last season's 12th-placed finish in Ligue 1. They have already sold ex-Celtic striker Kyogo to Birmingham after his miserable spell in France. Boss Habib Beye would love to bring in Igamane, 22, to kick-start his side. Reports in France claim he's become a 'priority target' for the club. Now they are set to lose fellow striker, £20m-rated Arnaud Kalimuendo, with Tottenham and Villarreal targeting the frontman. Lille had agreed terms with Igamane, but there was no official bid. It's believed they are refusing to meet Gers' hefty asking price. Igamane scored 16 goals for Rangers last season following his £1.7m move from FAR Rabat. Everton boss David Moyes has been credited with interest in the hitman for months — and reports in the Netherlands claim Robin van Persie's Feyenoord are also keeping tabs on the situation. Sir Sean Connery's secret £1 MILLION investment in Rangers revealed Italian side Udinese have reportedly made intitial contact with Gers, too. Fellow striker Cyriel Dessers was expected to join AEK Athens weeks ago, but the clubs can't agree a fee. The Greeks bid £4m, with Gers holding out for £5m. Both Dessers and Igamane are set to be in the Rangers squad as the Champions League qualifiers get underway tomorrow night. The Light Blues host Greek giants Panathinaikos in the first leg of their second qualifying round tie at Ibrox. Having both been slightly behind the rest of the group in pre-season preparations, both strikers got minutes during the Gers' behind closed doors friendly win over Hamilton on Saturday. The Light Blues won the encounter 2-0 with Danilo grabbing both goals. The Brazilian striker has been staking his claim to lead the line against Panathinaikos after finding a good run of scoring form. He also scored one and assisted three goals in a 4-1 win over Dunfermline during the week just gone, having also netted against Barnsley the previous weekend.
