Investigation underway into fatal motor-cross bike collision near Cochrane
An investigation is underway following a fatal collision between two motor-cross bikes near Cochrane early Saturday morning. At 12:42 a.m., Cochrane RCMP responded to a report of a serious off-road collision in the Horse Creek area close to Cochrane. Police, Fire and EMS responded and located two seriously injured 21-year-old men. Both men were declared dead on scene. The RCMP sends its condolences to the family and friends of the victims.

Police investigating fatal crash in Midland
Curry Road is closed between Midland Point Road and Tay Point Road in Midland following a fatal crash on Friday (supplied). A 19-year-old motorcyclist has died following a crash in Midland Friday afternoon. OPP were called to the scene along Curry Road just before 5 p.m., where police found an injured man near a badly damaged motorcycle. Officers say paramedics performed life-saving measures on scene before taking him to a local hospital, however, it was there where the Tay Township man was pronounced dead. Police say Curry Road is expected to remain closed late into the evening between Midland Point Road and Tay Point Road for an investigation. While the investigation is ongoing, police do not believe any other vehicles were involved. Anyone with information or dashcam footage is asked to contact the OPP.

1 dead in Saturday night collision on Winterburn Road
An investigation is underway into a fatal collision involving a motorcycle that took place Saturday night on Winterburn Road. At around 7:12 p.m., police believe a 26-year-old man on a Harley-Davidson was traveling north on Winterburn Road when he tried to pass an Acura by going left of the centre line as the Acura was slowing to make a left turn onto Westview Blvd. The Harley hit the driver's side of the Acura, causing the motorcycle to drive into the northwest ditch. EMS responded to the collision but the man was declared dead on scene. No one in the Acura was injured. After being closed for several hours as police investigated, Winterburn Road has now reopened. Anyone with information is asked to contact Edmonton police at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone.

Man found shot in Macon, later dies at hospital. What we know
The Bibb County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal shooting that happened Saturday morning, officials said. The incident was called into 911 just before 6 a.m., the sheriff's office said. Officers responded to the scene in the 800 block of Key Street and found a 62-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. 'Paramedics arrived on scene and transported the victim to a medical facility for treatment,' the sheriff's office said. Chief Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley said the victim later died from his injuries. No other injuries were reported in the incident, and the sheriff's office said the victim's name wouldn't be released at this time. The circumstances of the shooting were under investigation Saturday morning. The sheriff's office urged anyone with information on the case to call 478-751-7500 or the Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
