WWE reportedly set to launch NXT Europe by late 2025
Image via WWE WWE is gearing up to expand its global footprint with the much-anticipated launch of NXT Europe , expected to go live by the end of 2025. The brand will serve as a major step in the company's international development strategy, coming years after the conclusion of the NXT UK era. NXT Europe: A new chapter for WWE The new brand will mark WWE's return to the European wrestling scene following the hiatus of NXT UK, which officially went off-air in 2022. That brand produced several future stars, including Rhea Ripley and Toni Storm, who now feature prominently in WWE and AEW respectively. According to PWInsider, internal conversations have resumed with serious intent to launch the new brand. WWE has been actively recruiting European talent over the past several months, with reports suggesting names like Mike D Vecchio and Aigle Blanc have already been signed. — WrestleOps (@WrestleOps) The relaunch was originally planned for 2023 but was delayed due to the Endeavor acquisition and shifting priorities within the company. Now, WWE seems ready to move forward with an eye toward long-term international growth. A boost for talent and creative expansion The return of a Europe-based brand is expected to open new doors for wrestlers outside the United States. WWE has conducted international tryouts, including during its Road to WrestleMania tour in March, and plans to further invest in talent development across Europe. Some are already envisioning cross-brand rivalries between NXT Europe and the U.S.-based NXT, reminiscent of the brand warfare between Raw and SmackDown. Others speculate the new roster could appear in events like the Royal Rumble 2026 or WrestleMania, helping to seamlessly integrate the brand into the wider WWE universe. This isn't just a European experiment. WWE's leadership has long hinted at expanding further into Japan, Australia, and other markets. Triple H, who now leads creative efforts across WWE, has previously discussed a vision involving multiple global performance centers feeding into the company's main roster. While the official launch date and broadcast platform for NXT Europe remain undisclosed, expectations are that more information will surface in the coming months. The success of this brand could be a critical test of WWE's global model in the Endeavor era. As WWE looks to shape the future of wrestling on a global scale, NXT Europe might be just the beginning. Better behave, CS tells bureaucrats & govt staff
Hyderabad: Chief secretary K Ramakrishna Rao Tuesday sent out two official memos emphasising that officers of the All India Services (AIS), including IAS, IPS, and IFS, as well as other govt employees, must refrain from engaging in conduct unbecoming of public servants in public meetings and gatherings. Any violations of the relevant service conduct rules will attract disciplinary action, he warned. In the first memo, the CS highlighted recent instances where AIS officers were seen engaging in 'unseemly behaviour' during official events and public functions. He said such actions not only damage the reputation of the officers involved but also reflect poorly on the govt's image. Citing Rule 3(1) of the AIS (Conduct) Rules, 1968, the CS reminded officers that they are required to maintain absolute integrity and devotion to duty and must avoid any behaviour that could be deemed unbecoming of a member of the service. He stressed that AIS officers are expected to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and decorum in both their official duties and public interactions, as they serve in roles that directly impact public trust and governance. The memo warned that any deviation from these expectations would lead to strict disciplinary measures. Copies of the order were sent to all IAS officers, the director general of police (for circulation among IPS officers), and the principal chief conservator of forests (for IFS officers). by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Complete protection with iPru All-in-one Term Plan ICICI Pru Life Insurance Plan Get Quote Undo Memo to govt employees In a separate memo addressed to all govt employees, the CS reiterated similar concerns, quoting Rule 3 of the Telangana Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1964, which mandates that every govt employee must demonstrate devotion to duty, absolute integrity, discipline, impartiality, and propriety in their conduct. It explicitly prohibits behaviour that is unbecoming of a govt employee or derogatory to the prestige of the govt. The CS cautioned that acts and gestures that violate these norms, especially in public forums, will be taken seriously and invite strict disciplinary action. Background and context According to official sources, these memos come in the wake of recent incidents involving AIS officers making public or social media statements on contentious issues, and others engaging in acts and gestures—such as attempting to touch the chief minister's feet during public functions. Additionally, concerns have been raised about unauthorised sharing of confidential information, prompting the govt to issue a stren warning to prevent further breaches of conduct. The CS stressed that such behaviour not only undermines the dignity of public service but also erodes public confidence in governance. Copies of the memo were circulated to all secretariat departments and heads of department, with instructions to ensure that all officers and staff under their control are informed of these directives and are required to strictly adhere to them.

India's banks poised for loan growth boost amid rising profits: S&P Global report
India's banks are set to benefit from an anticipated uptick in loan growth, as improving profitability and declining provisions continue to strengthen the sector, according to a new report by S&P Global Market Intelligence as quoted by news agency ANI. All six of India's largest public and private sector banks recorded full-year net income growth in the latest fiscal year, supported by stable net interest margins and reduced provisioning, the report said. Among the major lenders, State Bank of India (SBI) — the country's largest — saw its net income rise by 16.1% to 709.01 billion rupees, with a net interest margin (NIM) of 2.81%. Meanwhile, HDFC Bank, India's top private lender, posted a 10.7% increase in net income, with a NIM of 3.45%. Loan books for these six banks expanded by an average of 11.29% in the latest fiscal year, lower than the 21.18% recorded in the previous fiscal. However, according to consensus estimates from Visible Alpha, average loan growth is expected to exceed 12% in FY2025-26, and 13% in FY2026-27. While overall profitability is on an upward trend, public sector banks may see a slight dip in net profits in the coming fiscal. For example, SBI's net income is projected to decline by 3.1% to 687.20 billion rupees in FY2025-26. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Complete protection with iPru All-in-one Term Plan ICICI Pru Life Insurance Plan Get Quote Undo In contrast, HDFC Bank's profit is forecast to grow 9.5% to 737.20 billion rupees in the same period. Separately, government data reveals a historic performance by India's Public Sector Banks (PSBs), which collectively posted their highest-ever net profit of 1.41 lakh crore rupees in FY2023-24. This turnaround reflects a marked improvement in asset quality, with the Gross Non-Performing Assets (GNPA) ratio falling to 3.12% as of September 2024. In the first half of FY2024-25, PSBs maintained momentum, earning 85,520.6 crore rupees in net profit. Additionally, over the past three years, PSBs have returned 61,964 crore rupees to shareholders in dividends — a testament to their enhanced operational efficiency, healthier balance sheets, and stronger capital positions.
