I've lost 17 STONE with help of fat jabs – people say I look like a different person but others sigh I've shed too much

A WOMAN who has lost a staggering 17 stone with the help of fat jabs has hit back at people saying she's shed "too much" weight. Mum-of-one Johnna has gone from 25.5 stone to 8 stone 2 pounds, completely transforming herself in the process. 6 6 6 She's been documenting her "real and raw" weight loss journey on her social media pages, but constantly finds herself facing criticism that she's slimmed down too much. In one post on Instagram, Johnna shared before and after clips of herself, and wrote over the top: "'You lost way too much weight'. "God forbid a girl enhances her life!" she added. "How dare I!" she captioned the Reel. People in the comments were quick to share their shock at her dramatic makeover, with one shouting: " Bro ain't no way this the same person!" "Yikes that's dangerous," another sighed. As a third said she'd gone "from unhealthy to unhealthy". "No - you def lost too much weight," someone else agreed. "You went from over to under." "Now this is a lie," another scowled. I lost 8st on Mounjaro - hubby doesn't mind my loose skin, now we can try for kids While someone else said it was "two extremes" and added it was "a call for help". Others hit back at critics as they defended Johnna and her transformation. "Ummm I think I just witnessed the most dramatic weight loss I've ever seen. WOW. GET IT MAMA," one wrote. "You go, girl!" another urged. "What I've learned in my own personal weight loss journey is as long as you are happy with your own body f**k what anyone had to say about your body. "You can't please them all but you keep pushing because you are doing great!" What to do if you lose too much weight too quickly whilst on Mounjaro IF you're losing too much weight too quickly while on Mounjaro, it's important to take action to avoid potential health risks like muscle loss, malnutrition, dehydration, and fatigue. Here's what you can do: Evaluate Your Caloric Intake Mounjaro reduces appetite, which can make it easy to eat too little. If you're losing weight too fast (more than two to three lbs per week after the initial adjustment period), try: Tracking your food intake to ensure you're eating enough calories (apps like MyFitnessPal can help). Increasing protein intake to preserve muscle mass (aim for 0.6–1g per pound of body weight). Adding healthy fats and complex carbs (e.g., avocados, nuts, whole grains) for balanced energy. Adjust Your Dosage (With Doctor's Approval) If your weight loss is too rapid or causing side effects, your doctor may: Pause dose increases or lower your dosage. Adjust your treatment plan to stabilise your weight loss. Strength Training & Exercise To prevent muscle loss: Incorporate resistance training at least two to three times per week. Stay active with low-impact exercises like walking or yoga. Hydrate & Manage Electrolytes Drink enough water (Mounjaro can reduce thirst). Electrolytes matter - Consider adding magnesium, sodium, and potassium if you feel weak or fatigued. Monitor for Malnutrition & Deficiencies Rapid weight loss can cause vitamin/mineral deficiencies (especially B12, iron, and electrolytes). If you experience: Fatigue, hair loss, or dizziness, ask your doctor about supplements. Consider Further Medical Guidance If your weight loss is excessive or causing health concerns, speak with your healthcare provider. They might adjust your dosage, diet, or exercise plan to help stabilise your weight loss. "OMG girl, that's amazing!" a third commented. "Girl, don't listen to the haters," someone else said. "If that makes you happy, live your best life - as long as you're healthy!" Johnna began her body transformation in 2019, when she had weight loss surgery. She then underwent further procedures to remove her loose skin in 2024 and 2025. She's also been on fat jabs for 16 months, and has lost 17 stone 2lbs - 250lbs - in total. Johnna also claims that losing the weight has aided her dramatically in her bid to recover from Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. 6 6

The Salt Path by Raynor Winn audiobook review – a life-changing journey

A few days after Raynor Winn and her husband, Moth, had their Welsh farm repossessed owing to a failed investment, Moth learned he had a rare and incurable neurodegenerative condition. With their world upended and nowhere to live, the couple decided there was only one course of action: to walk. Their plan was to follow the South West Coast Path, a hiking trail taking them from Minehead in Somerset, along the northern coasts of Devon and Cornwall, around Land's End and Lizard Point, then back along Cornwall's south coast, south Devon and ending in Poole in Dorset. The 630-mile walk, taking in secluded beaches and coves, wild moorland and quiet hamlets and coastal towns, is equivalent to climbing Mount Everest four times over. Armed with the essentials – clothes, a tent, sleeping bags, endless packets of dried noodles – they would be 'sleeping wild, living wild, working our way through every painful action that had brought us here, to this moment'. Their journey is documented in Raynor's award-winning The Salt Path, her lyrical memoir from 2018 that sold more than 2m copies in English, and a film adaptation of which arrives in cinemas this month featuring Gillian Anderson and Jason Isaacs. The audiobook is narrated by Raynor, whose quietly despairing tone in the early chapters gradually evolves into cautious optimism. While they endure hardship and self-doubt during their journey, there are moments of levity too. Taking in the wild splendour of their surroundings, the pair get a fresh perspective on all life has thrown at them and resolve to live in the present. A two-day journey to Bilbao

BBC Radio 5 Live spoke to one Manchester United supporter about the mammoth journey they're making to Bilbao to get to the Europa League final against Tottenham on Wednesday."We've had about half an hour of sleep. We left Manchester at 22:30 [Monday night] and met at the local pub and then left there at quarter to three in the morning [on Tuesday]."We're now outside London heading to Dover, [from there] to Calais on the ferry, from Calais a nearly nine-hour coach ride to Bordeaux and we'll stay overnight, and then travel from Bordeaux to Bilbao in the morning for another four hours."Bordeaux do nice wine and it's a lot cheaper. It's cost about £350 to come on the coach whereas the flights were £900, so we've done OK It's just a long journey."But the coach is very quiet and it's quite nice. It's all United fans on the coach and I thought they'd all be drinking and singing, but it's been peaceful."
