Eastbound Speedvale Avenue East reduced to one lane due to safety concerns

In a social media post at 4:12 p.m. Friday, the city said eastbound traffic on Speedvale Avenue East had been reduced to one lane near Woolwich Street due to safety concerns regarding road surface resettlement. The south sidewalk is also closed between 45 Speedvale Avenue East and the Speed River. The city did not share how long the lane reduction will be in effect, but said, 'The lane reduction and sidewalk closure will remain in place until the repair work is completed.'

The center lane on northbound 101 was closed from Monterey Street to Stage Coach Road starting around 10:15 a.m., forcing traffic into one lane, according to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information Page. Caltrans was seen on the highway cleaning garbage out of median, fixing the railing and clearing the drains of weeds. At 12:35 p.m., Caltrans said it would be picking up cones on the road and ending the closure at around 1:15 p.m, according to the traffic incident information page. JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — The Alabama Department of Transportation announced it will close the left two lanes of U.S. Highway 280 eastbound and westbound Sunday. At 7 p.m., with weather permitting, the ALDOT will close the left lane of Highway 280 eastbound, and at 9 p.m., the left two lanes will close for milling between milepost 1.39 and milepost 4.51. All lanes are expected to re-open at 6 a.m. Monday, and the same process is set to repeat itself Monday night into Tuesday morning. Planned I-65 ramp closures in Blount County The left lane of Highway 280 westbound from milepost 1.39 and milepost 4.51 will also close at 7 p.m., with the left two lanes closing at 9 p.m. These lanes are also expected to re-open at 6 a.m. Monday. The lane closures are scheduled to continue from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Friday. The ALDOT stated it encourages drivers to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival and departure times, observe work zone signs and use caution in these areas.
