Dubai: Al Huzaifa, the region's leading name in luxury design and craftsmanship, is making a bold statement at INDEX Dubai 2025 with an immersive exhibition that goes beyond traditional interior design showcases. From May 27th to 29th, visitors to the Al Huzaifa's booth at Dubai World Trade Centre will experience a journey through curated environments that blend material innovation with artistic storytelling. INDEX is the MENA region's flagship interior design exhibition, connecting global creativity with regional innovation. 'Each space has been crafted to push the boundaries of conventional design. Our goal is to inspire visitors with how material, mood, and form can converge to tell unique design narratives.' The showcase features three distinct experiential zones. The first features the brand's Aqua system fused with elegant champagne metal profiles, this area includes a custom high-end genuine leather bed accented with metallic detailing. A cream and soft stainless steel color palette enhances the space's sense of comfort. A second space brings together a bold interplay of artistic mural wallpaper with textile finishes and rough stone sheets. Earthy tones and straight architectural lines create a dramatic and grounded atmosphere. The final space highlights an unconventional wardrobe design in a setting of rich tanned orange and coffee brown tones. Contemporary yet refined, it speaks to those who seek individuality in everyday spaces. Al Huzaifa's INDEX showcase is deeply rooted in a love for natural materials like stone, leather, marble, and solid wood elements that bring texture, depth, and authenticity to any interior. The Charles Hotel Unveils a Glamorous Makeover
The Charles, a Rocco Forte Hotel in Munich, unveils a glamorous new makeover as it completes the extensive renovation of its ground floor. The new design, created by Paolo Moschino and Philip Vergeylen in collaboration with Olga Polizzi, features a vibrant new colour palette complimented by a lush botanical theme, which flows from the redesigned lobby, to the stylish Florio Restaurant and Bar, and through to the newly opened Circle Bar. The reimaged lobby offers a grand welcome to hotel guests and visitors, featuring a striking central table framed by elegant statues and lavish floral arrangements. A curved plaster work by French artist Francois Mascarello on the back wall of the reception completes the transformation, adding to the refined atmosphere of the space. Florio Restaurant & Bar Florio restaurant, created by Italian culinary icon and Rocco Forte Hotels Creative Director of Food Fulvio Pierangelini, draws its inspiration from the neighbouring Old Botanical Garden. The space features moss-green linen wallpaper and silvery olive trees bathed in natural light, with framed prints of colourful plants and fruit. Now joined by the newly opened Florio Bar, the botanical theme continues with the rainforest green marble of the reception counter, two magnificent strelitzias and newly upholstered green benches. The Indian Rainforest Gold marble used for the bar counter, compliments the wood-clad columns that frame the entire bar table, creating a sophisticated ambience to enjoy a drink. In addition to small dishes and snacks, the menu offers a large selection of drinks in the style of the Italian aperitivo tradition, complimented by open wines and premium spirits. Charmingly integrated and separate from the restaurant by two semi-transparent sliding doors, the new Private Dining Room features beautiful parquet flooring in various shades of brown and floral murals. Used in the morning to present the sumptuous breakfast buffet, the room can be transformed into a private dining room for intimate events and dinners. The newly designed terrace offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Spanning 200 square meters, it continues the botanical theme. Sitting under large parasols, it's the perfect spot to enjoy a drink on warm summer days, while in the evenings the large floor lanterns provide a sense of warmth and comfort. The new wrought iron furniture in soft shades of green is complimented by cushions in a variety of different fabrics and patterns, creating a serene atmosphere. Two elegant light sculptures by Haberdashery, featuring 258 porcelain leaves, some adorned with precious metal glazes, gracefully complement one another, suspended from delicate strands of shimmering micro-fine threads. Circle Bar Circle Bar's name is derived from the shape of the room and the red steel ring by Italian artist Mauro Staccioli in the square at the front of the hotel. The inviting Art Deco setting offers a wide selection of champagnes, bar snacks, coffee, tea and delicious afternoon patisserie creations. Hotel website

EXCLUSIVE: More Executive Changes for Flos B&B Group as Arclinea Family CEO Steps Down
MILAN — Italian luxury design conglomerate Flos B&B Italia Group, which is said to be in the throes of a major phase of restructuring, on Wednesday saw its third major executive change in a year. WWD has learned that Gianni Fortuna, grandson of Arclinea's founder, stepped down as the chief executive officer of the upscale kitchen company known worldwide for its modern designs. Angelo Monaco, who joined Arclinea in 2018 as sales director, will take Fortuna's place with 'immediate effect,' according to a statement seen by WWD. More from WWD Delphine Viguier-Hovasse Named L'Oréal Chief Innovation and Prospective Officer Hearst Italy Introduces About:, An Architecture-centered Magazine Loro Piana, Dimorestudio, OTW by Vans Top Drivers of $26.1 Million in EMV for Milan Design Week 'I congratulate Angelo on reaching this significant professional milestone. His thorough understanding of the sector and the experience he has acquired over the years within the company will guide Arclinea towards new challenges and opportunities,' said B&B Italia Group CEO Demetrio Apolloni. The firm added that Monaco will lead Arclinea through a 'phase of strengthening and expansion, enhancing synergies with the other B&B Italia Group iconic brands,' which include design furniture firms Maxalto and Azucena. B&B Italia Group acquired Arclinea in 2016. B&B Italia Group is a key firm within the Flos B&B Italia Group, formerly known as Design Holding. In January, it was announced that former Flos CEO Piero Gandini was appointed executive chairman of Flos B&B Italia Group, after veteran luxury executive Daniel Lalonde stepped down. Lighting company Flos also saw its CEO Roberta Silva depart in 2024. In addition to Arclinea, Flos and luxury furniture brand B&B Italia Group and its brands, Flos B&B Italia owns Danish lighting brand Louis Poulsen, Denmark-based furniture firm Audo Copenhagen and design furniture and e-commerce player Lumens. Sources close to the situation told WWD in February that Lalonde parted ways with the company after disagreements on restructuring plans. Sources also said the group has entertained informal offers from other groups for its furniture brands. Haworth, which is home to top European furniture and home firms Poltrona Frau, Cassina, Cappellini and Zanotta, was named as an interested buyer. Funds Investindustrial and the Carlyle Group formed Design Holding in 2018. The funds' potential move to sell off the furniture division has been widely viewed as an expected outcome by industry watchers. Arclinea was started in Caldogno, Italy, in 1925 by Fortuna's grandfather, Silvio Fortuna Sr. In 1986, Arclinea began collaborating with designer and architect Antonio Citterio, who continues to envisage their 'architecture for living' to this day. During Milan Design Week in April, Fortuna honored his family's legacy and feted the firm's centennial with a new book lensed by French photographer Amélie Ambroise. Ambroise's photos went on sale to fund tuition at University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo, Italy. For the third generation, 2025 marked an emotional milestone. 'It is a deeply personal journey. It is a moment of reflection on the path taken on the values that have guided us, and on the people who have contributed to shaping Arclinea over time. There is a sense of responsibility in carrying forward a story that began generations ago, with my grandfather, built on passion, dedication and a deep connection to our origins,' Fortuna said at the time. In terms of retail, Arclinea has recently opened stores in Los Angeles, Miami, Washington and Boston, together with B&B Italia. Fortuna, who has held senior roles at Arclinea for more than 30 years, was key in driving the family-run firm's international growth. 'On behalf of the group and its shareholders, I would like to thank Gianni for his vision, passion and commitment, which have established Arclinea as a benchmark on the international scene. We wish him the best in his future endeavors, as Arclinea prepares for a new phase of growth,' Apolloni said.
