Following police chase, London man charged with impaired operation of stolen vehicle

(File) A London man is facing charges after he was arrested in the downtown core driving a stolen vehicle on Wednesday morning. A roughly 4:20 a.m. on Wednesday, a man was seen asleep at the wheel of a vehicle in the area of Patricia and Steele streets. Police located the vehicle, and awoke the man, who then put the car in drive and fled northbound, stopping the car nearby and fleeing on foot. The man was located in the 1000 block of Patricia Street. Investigation revealed that the car had been reported as stolen. Police have charged a 30-year-old London man with the following:

Man injured in single vehicle crash on Lewvan Drive involving pedestrian: police

(David Prisciak/CTV News) Regina police say a man was significantly injured in a single vehicle accident involving a pedestrian on Lewvan Drive early Thursday morning. Northbound traffic was restricted on Lewvan Drive from Ring Road to Gordon Road for a period of time, but police say the public can now resume normal activities in the area. Police did not say the extent of the man's injuries, adding that an investigation is ongoing.

Man dies after officer-involved shooting in Lehigh County, officials say
The Brief A man is dead after an officer-involved shooting in Lehigh County. Officials say multiple officers were confronted by the man who appeared to be armed with a rifle. SOUTH WHITEHALL TOWNSHIP, Pa. - A man is dead after an officer-involved shooting in South Whitehall Township, in Lehigh County. What we know Prosecutors in Lehigh County say police were called to a home on the 1800 block of North 38th Street around 1 p.m. Wednesday for reports of a man with a gun. They say multiple officers were confronted by the man who appeared to be armed with a rifle. Prosecutors then say the man advanced toward the officers, who gave commands to drop the weapon, but prosecutors say he refused. Officers fired six rounds at the man, killing him. A preliminary investigation indicates the man was suffering from long-term health issues and a note was found inside the home. What's next Multiple Lehigh County agencies are involved in the investigation along with the Pennsylvania State Police. An autopsy will be performed Friday, May 30th. No other details were released.
