Flight attendant reveals the holiday hotspot with the worst passengers: 'It was just absolute chaos'

Life as a flight attendant isn't all glamorous stopovers and perfectly packed luggage. Frequently, it involves calming down mid-air meltdowns and handling passengers who've had one (or more) too many before take-off. One flight attendant has shared a harrowing story of an altercation that took place at 30,000 feet – declaring it the most traumatic flight of her career. It involved three groups on stag dos – outnumbering the four members of cabin crew. 'It was just absolute chaos, they were screaming,' 32-year-old Kristina Galvydyte told The Telegraph. 'Imagine a night out in any British town at midnight on a Friday. It was like that.' Of course, this wasn't a post-boozing brawl spilling out of a pub – it was mid-flight, on the way from Edinburgh to Alicante, in southeastern Spain. She shared that one group on board became 'verbally abusive' after cracking into their duty-free drinks – something that is prohibited. Following this, a fracas began when another group 'took offence', according to The Telegraph. Kristina witnessed her colleague stand between the groups while she was calling for assistance from the cockpit. And although the intervention worked, tension was high for the remainder of the flight. Police boarded the aircraft when it landed in Spain. 'It was the worst flight I ever had,' said Kristina. The incidents staff are forced to deal with are driving many to leave the industry. Ms Galvydyte worked for a UK-based airline – which she has not named – before quitting three years ago. She revealed that a friend still in the role wants a change, blaming 'the behaviour of passengers'. This incident from 2024 is an example of those that cabin crew are forced to deal with – and often police get involved when the flight lands And it's not surprising. Other unsavoury incidents she shared include being vomited on after a woman who'd drunk beer and taken medication vomited across her. Another time, a drunk passenger asked her to strip. She remembers colleagues working on a flight where a passenger overdosed from taking cocaine – which left staff traumatised and in need of compassionate leave. Flights to certain destinations are worse than others for disruptive behaviour, says Kristina, who lists Ibiza, the Canary Islands (Tenerife in particular) and Turkey as having potential for 'horrendous' shifts. And she adds that women can be just as bad as men: 'They target your appearance, your accent – they observe you. It was a woman who made me cry.'

Wild moment furious female plane passenger has mid-air meltdown demanding business class upgrade

THIS is the wild moment a furious woman had a mid-air meltdown when demanding a business class upgrade — before being tied up. The outburst erupted on a flight from from Russia to Egypt — with the economy passenger insisting she deserved an upgrade due to an alleged 'pain in my butt and t*ts'. 6 6 6 6 Shocking footage from the Aeroflot flight SU734 shows the woman standing in the aisle and yelling at cabin crew in broken English. She said: 'I want business class… I'm in pain in my butt, I'm in pain in my t*ts!' She even grabs her own breasts while arguing her case, pleading: 'But I need a business class because I was working.' When her rant fails to sway staff, the wild-eyed woman sinks to the floor screaming 'No, no, get out!' as a female voice calmly replies: 'You asked for it.' Crew were helped by strong male passengers to overpower the woman after she allegedly threatened to open the emergency exit and began removing her top in desperation, according to Telegram channel Aviatorshchina. 'The woman tried to push forward, ran around the cabin, approached the emergency exit, and threatened to 'open' it,' the report said. 'It even got to 18+ content. To get to the coveted seats, the passenger began taking off her T-shirt, hoping at least that would work.' Although the video didn't show her fully undressing, it captured her bizarre gestures and meltdown as stunned passengers watched on during the six-hour flight. 'The stewardesses first tried to manage on their own, but the brawler wouldn't give in,' the channel added. 'After she was restrained, the violator was moved to the back of the plane and handed over to the police upon arrival.' Shock moment passenger threatens to CRASH Air India plane mid-flight in furious row just days after Ahmedabad disaster The woman's identity and nationality remain unknown. Aeroflot has not commented on the incident. A traveller described the mood on board as 'tense and uncomfortable,' with some fearing the woman might actually reach the emergency exit. 'People were scared. We didn't know how far she would go,' they reportedly said. The Airbus A330-300 aircraft was carrying dozens of holidaymakers heading Sharm el-Sheikh, many of whom were left shaken by the bizarre episode. It's unclear whether the woman was under the influence of alcohol or medication at the time. Aeroflot has not released further details. The woman was detained upon landing in Egypt, but authorities have yet to confirm what charges — if any — she may face. It comes after a drunk woman attacked another passenger mid-air, screaming and refusing to let go of her hair as she spat and kicked during the violent episode. Leanna Perry, 32, was charged with aggravated assault after throwing a fit on a Southwest Airlines flight. Footage from inside the plane at La Guardia airport shows the Brooklyn-based illustration artist launching her verbal assault at a fellow passenger. Meanwhile, a woman allegedly threatened to crash a plane in India during a row with cabin staff just days after the deadly Air India disaster. Footage showed the passenger yelling at passengers and crew on board the flight. The row is reported to have taken place on an Air India Express flight from Bengaluru to Surat. A woman, identified as Dr Vyas Hiral Mohanbhai, 36, was taken off the flight and detained by police following the incident, the Indian Express reported. 6 6

Woman behind viral American Airlines meltdown launches ‘unfiltered' exclusive content site 2 years after shock incident

THE so-called "crazy plane lady" who was recorded having a mid-air meltdown where she called a fellow passenger "not real" has launched an exclusive content account. Tiffany Gomas announced the "unfiltered" account with a collection of sexy bikini pictures two years after rocketing to infamy over her flight outburst. 5 5 On Tuesday, the flyer told her 150,000 Instagram followers that she launched an account on the website Passes. Much like OnlyFans, Passes allows for creators to post exclusive content that's only accessed behind a paywall. However, this site is different as users can only post safe-for-work content. But despite this, Gomas made the announcement alongside a series of raunchy pictures that showed off her tan body and defined abs. In her Passes description, Gomas told followers that they would get an inside look at the "chaos" of her workouts, sports, shoes, and outfits. "Thanks for flying with me," she wrote, poking fun at her viral video. "Make sure to say hi in my DMs, that's where all the magic happens." Gomas earned the nickname "crazy plane lady" after she was filmed wildly shouting in the middle of a flight in July 2023. "But I am telling you, right now, that motherf**ker back there is not real," she was caught saying. The clip sparked an online wildfire, with Saturday Night Live even making an entire sketch based on the incident. Eventually, when Gomas was identified as the woman in the video, some brazen onlookers tried to connect with her. UFC star Conor McGregor slid into her DMs, but Gomas insisted that he wasn't trying "to get in my pants or anything," she previously said on the Pardon My Take podcast. "He wanted to know what I saw," Gomas revealed to the hosts in November 2023. 5 5 'I WAS A BRAT' Gomas admitted that she was filled with regret after seeing herself go viral for the explicit rant. "I was a brat," she told Inside Edition at the time. She said that she tries not to think about the outburst and wants to "block it out completely." At the time the video was taken, Gomas was a marketing executive who lived in Dallas, Texas. But she said her life was quickly put on pause when she got the unwanted press. "I stayed home for over four weeks because I was so ashamed and so embarrassed I didn't wanna go in public," she said. "It was not my best moment [...] It was actually a horrible moment. "Absolutely mortifying. How horribly mortifying." Passes subscribers will have to pay $9.99 a month if they want to send five DMs to Gomas and get access to her account. For $20 a month, subscribers can talk for free all day long.
