For the first time in Olympic history, the opening ceremony on July 14, 2028, will take place at two locations, continuing the innovative format introduced in Paris during the 2024 summer games, where athletes kicked off the games by boarding boats and floating down the Seine. The closing ceremony will take place on July 30, 2028, at the Coliseum.
