Shoppers are raving over 3 IKEA garden buys including a £8 find that'll ‘endure rain and wind & still look brand new'

HOMEOWNERS are going wild over three IKEA buys that will transform your garden on the cheap. With summer practically here, millions of green-fingered Brits have been racing to get their outdoor space ready for the BBQ season ahead. 2 But whilst many may assume that giving their gardens a glow-up will set them back a fortune, one thrifty woman recently proved there's no need to fork out a huge sum. Taking on TikTok, content creator only known as Kjg_home shared how she used £6 and £8 finds from IKEA to transform her garden, leaving many open-mouthed. Sharing her top buys online, the woman recorded herself in the popular Swedish retailer, where she snapped up budget-friendly LED solar-powered pendant lamps. The home interior fan bought the outdoor globe lights in two sizes - the 30cm size which sells for £8‬ each and the smaller 22cm version, that goes for a mere £6‬ each. The shopper was thrilled with the ' great buys ', which she described as 'the perfect garden IKEA finds'. According to Kjg Home, there's no need to be wary of the low price tag - as the lights are ''made from water-resistant fabric' - which is a must for the rainy British summers. She went on to rave about the wallet-friendly find in the video, saying: ''Comes in other colours and has an easy hook to hang. ''Leave to soak in the light - they automatically light up at night,'' the IKEA fan said, showing the gorgeous romantic display on her page. ''Hand them anywhere in your garden and watch them transform your space through all the seasons,'' she instructed. Another must-have item to look for next time you plan an IKEA trip is a basic black tray, as well as assortment of faux greenery to create realistic wall display. I hate my new build garden being overlooked so found a 5 METRE privacy fence to block out nosy neighbours for under £30 To make the simply yet stunning piece of art, the savvy DIY fan used a bit of hot glue to attach the mini fake plant pots to the tray. If needed, she went on, trim the ends for a more neat look and use a simple hook to hang the decorated tray. Last but certainly not least was a gorgeous table centrepiece - which also acted as a cheap remedy to keep those pesky mosquitos and bugs at bay. Garden features that add the most value to a house A well-kept garden can add anywhere between 5-20% to the value of a property. carried out a study and consulted 36 estate agents, garden designers and property professionals from across the UK. And the experts revealed the garden feature which adds the most value to a property is a shed. Shed - 82% Patio or paving - 76% Secure fencing, walls or gates - 72% Outdoor lighting - 66% Sturdy decking - 62% Water features eg. fountain or pond - 58% Modern garden furniture - 54% Artificial lawn/grass - 40% For this, you will need IKEA cylinder vases (a three-pack will set you back just £10), as well as some slices of lemon, lemon peel, a few drops of lemongrass oil, fresh rosemary and water. Once you've combined all the ingredients in the vase, top it off with a floating candle, she demonstrated. The IKEA super fan said: ''A beautiful display and smells amazing - but more importantly, keeps the bugs away!'' The TikToker, who's won close to 431k fans on the platform, wrote in the caption: ''3 Ikea finds for the garden! It's due to be lovely for the next few weeks so I'm sharing some of my fave garden finds from @ikeauk. ''Update on the Solvinden water resistant solar lanterns-these have lasted a winter outside in all conditions including snow and still work and look like new.'' 'Will definitely use these' Since being shared online, the video has taken the internet by storm, winning the DIY whizz a whopping 310k views, over 4,100 likes, as well as a staggering 2,518 shares. Dozens of social media users flooded to comments to thank the interior fan for the inspiration. One person wrote: ''Can't wait to own a home so I can make my backyard look pretty.'' ''Thanks for sharing such a great idea,'' a fan penned.

Nanoleaf Brings New Shapes To Your Walls And Sculptures To Your Garden

Rope Light (left) and Solar Garden Light (right) If you're a fan of Nanoleaf and their programmable lighting, capable of achieving over 16 million color combinations, you'll be a fan of today's product launch. If you're a fan of Nanoleaf's ever-expanding outdoor lighting options, that are weatherproofed and capable of multiple animated scenes and colors, you'll also be a fan of today's launch announcement. If you'd just like to be able to walk into your local Walmart and buy Nanoleaf products without having to order them online…guess what? Nanoleaf had a busy day, launching two very different lighting solutions and announcing a distribution deal with one of the largest retailers in the country. Flexible to ensure you can craft just about anything The Nanoleaf Rope Light leverages the same kind of ultra-flexible, multicolor LED rope found in their recently-launched Multicolor Floor Lamp but ditches the rigid housing to give you more design options. The Rope Light is RGB-addressable and comes in 5m lengths, with a soft silicone diffuser over top that gives it an even glow. Each starter pack comes with 30 wall mounts, giving you everything you need to create a unique lighting installation on your wall. The Rope Light is fairly easy to work with in person, but you'll want to make sure you take your time and plan your shape. The adhesive on the back of each clip is really only good to mark a spot — the included screws are necessary to ensure everything stays in place. You won't be able to get sharp angles out of the soft rope light but I was able to make a backlit frame for a picture in my office with very little setup. With little to know artistic skill, you too can create a square (Nanoleaf Rope Light behind the ... More center framed picture) The Rope Lights of course integrate with the Nanoleaf app, which means they can be programmed with dynamic effects, gradients, and more (I'm partial to a an 80's-neon Miami scene, myself). It also works with the Nanoleaf Desktop App, to sync to your games and media, and 4d Sync+, to provide even more lighting options for your TV. The Rope Light set up easily over WiFi, but you can also use Bluetooth. It's Matter-compatible, which means you can integrate it into all your Apple Home schedules. There's also an in-line controller if you don't feel like connecting to anything and just want to make the pretty lights glow. For the (literal) flexibility you get with the Rope Light, it's surprisingly inexpensive at $69.99. Solar Garden Lights Nanoleaf is also launching their first-ever solar-powered lights. The Solar Garden Lights look a bit like a deconstructed flower sculpture and install in minutes. They sport a IP65 weatherproof rating and have eight LED bulbs per fixture, each on a flexible black stalk. They come with two sizes of garden stake and mounting hardware for the solar panel controller, giving you even more solutions. They don't connect to the Nanoleaf app, so you're limited to just eight RGB colors and 11 preset animated multicolor scenes (accessed via remote control). You can also just tune them to the brightness and white level that works for your outdoor decoration and leave it at that. It's a bit disappointing, I'd love to be able to sync these up to the Permanent Outdoor Lights, but it's just enough versatility that it'll work with just about any season's illumination. The panel has a long wired cable to give you plenty of options for placement. The solar panel controller has built-in daylight sensors that automatically turn the lights on at dusk and off at dawn or auto-off timers for 4, 6, or 8 hours if you'd rather have them on for a fixed amount of time. If solar power isn't sufficient, you can also charge them via USB-C. The remote control can control up to 20 lights…though I did have some difficulty getting my lights to sync up to the same scene. I had to sync the scenes manually through the solar panel controller first. These are also surprisingly inexpensive at $49.99 for a 2-pk. You can also get packs of 6 for $134.99 or 12 for $250. Especially with the ability to control up to 20 at once, I can see these being a bit of an impulse buy. And how am I going to impulse buy the Solar Garden Lights? Well, now that Nanoleaf has expanded to launch their product into Walmart stores, it'll be even easier. In addition to the Rope Light and Solar Garden Lights, Nanoleaf will have their recently launched Pegboard Desk Dock, new pack sizes for their ubiquitous Shapes, more pack sizes for Blocks (one of my favorite Nanoleaf launches), and more. Nanoleaf has been consistently reliable with their tech and keep on coming up with fun ways to cram even more LEDs into more things. Given the versatility of their products, I see this being a big step for the company.

Nanoleaf reveals two gorgeous new smart lights for your home and garden

Nanoleaf is one of the biggest names in smart lights, offering a variety of bulbs, panels, and even a unique skylight with support for over 16 million colors. That lineup is expanding today with the launch of the Nanoleaf Rope Light and Nanoleaf Solar Garden Light — two striking new products that look like an excellent way to bring a pop of color into your home. The Nanoleaf Solar Garden Light is arguably the most exciting of the two, as the company hasn't ventured into the outdoor space too often. Sold as a two-pack for $50, the Garden Light is Nanoleaf's first-ever solar-powered lighting solution. Built with an IP65 weatherproof rating, eight LED branches that splay out from a central stem, a built-in daylight sensor to toggle the lights on and off, and support for a variety of RGB colors plus tunable whites, it should make a fun companion for most outdoor spaces. Recommended Videos If the solar panel isn't enough to keep the lights juiced up, you can give them additional power via a USB-C port. The Nanoleaf Solar Garden Lights join the existing Nanoleaf Outdoor Essentials catalog, which includes the Outdoor String Lights and Permanent Outdoor Lights. Nanoleaf also revealed the Rope Light. Created to be highly flexible for added customization options, the five-meter rope can bend and twist in any direction — allowing you to whirl it up into a variety of designs. It offers addressable RGB lighting, a silicone diffuser for smooth illumination, and highly customizable colors and patterns thanks to the Nanoleaf App. It's available now for $70. Along with revealing two new products, Nanoleaf also announced it'll be rolling out products to over 2,500 Walmart locations. So if you prefer to shop in person, be sure to keep your eyes peeled in the coming weeks as Nanoleaf finalizes its massive brick-and-mortar rollout.
