Ex-ABC Reporter Who Trashed Stephen Miller Shares The Cruel Truth That Got Him Fired

Former ABC News reporter Terry Moran isn't letting up on his 'vicious' criticism of Stephen Miller more than a month after his 'world-class hater' post about Donald Trump and his senior White House aide led to his abrupt exit at the network. Moran, in an appearance on ex-MSNBC host Chris Matthews's Substack podcast, referred to old clips of Miller while arguing that he's been 'spitting the same kind of venom and lies' as he has in the Trump administration. In one video, a 17-year-old Miller said that the torture of Iraqis during the Iraq War is the 'way to go' because it's a 'celebration of human life and dignity.' 'The cruelty is the point,' said Moran of Miller. 'He's about power. Trump is his path to power. Trump sees him as essentially putting kind of some intellectual gloss on his own gut instincts and they work together to bludgeon the country with almost a disheartening and depressing level of cruelty and falsehood every day.' He continued, 'I think that's accurate, fair and true. And it got me fired!' Moments earlier, Moran argued that Miller 'clearly sees lying as a way of exerting power,' calling such moves 'deeply wrong' and 'a bludgeoning.' Moran — who has since launched a Substack of his own since his ABC News ouster — has previously defended his June post, saying it was something on his 'heart and mind' at the time. His post — which described Miller as getting 'spiritual nourishment' from his 'hatreds' — led to swift outrage from top White House officials, including Vice President JD Vance. He was subsequently suspended by ABC News, which called the post a 'clear violation' of the network's policies. The network would later announce that his contract would not be renewed. Related... Conservative star Brett Cooper recalls being pelted with 'Communist Manifesto' at UCLA party

Once a child actor, and now a conservative media star, Brett Cooper has taken the internet by storm with her commentary on a variety of political and cultural issues to millions of followers and subscribers across her social media platforms. Fox News Digital sat down with Cooper, host of "The Brett Cooper Show," ahead of her live show in Atlanta, Georgia, to discuss her media career and new podcast. Cooper has since signed as a Fox News media contributor. Cooper attended UCLA and felt like the political climate of the school and the city of Los Angeles didn't represent her. "I went to UCLA, I just kind of decided that really wasn't the path for me, at least being an actor wasn't, and so I got really interested in production and being on the other side of Hollywood, and that sort of led me down a path of making videos." When Cooper started making videos, she gained the attention of conservative media. "I got in contact with some conservative organizations like PragerU," Cooper said. As Cooper was making videos for PragerU, she received attention from the Daily Wire to start a show, and then her career "took off from there." In January, Cooper launched "The Brett Cooper Show." "My family was always super vocal and open about politics and values and philosophy," Cooper said. "We were a big debate-over-the-dinner-table family, but I didn't really follow politics, and we didn't discuss news and current events in that way." While attending UCLA, Cooper found herself having to analyze her political views. "Going to UCLA, I was confronted with people who were very much involved in that world and cared very deeply," Cooper said. "So it forced me to kind of reconcile with the values that I had been raised with. So I think that was probably a turning point where I just had to be confronted with that and figure out, you know, do I actually believe in the things that I was raised with." Cooper was initially hesitant about making politics a big part of who she is. "I definitely didn't make it the forefront of my personality, especially because I knew that so many of my friends were on the left, I never really wanted to cause any problems, but over time they figured out kind of what I believe," she said. However, the political differences at her school were very evident to Cooper. "My favorite story is that I was hit in the head with a 'Communist Manifesto' at a party because they were like, 'you should read this,' and they like chucked it at me." In 2020, Cooper posted a video on Instagram where she spoke out about the COVID lockdowns in Los Angeles. "I make a video, and I was literally so terrified that I turned off my phone and I like chucked it across the room. Um, because I was just so terrified to publicly, you know, put myself out there in that way." Now, Cooper hopes that she can help others by providing unique perspectives and starting conversations. "I'm not asking you to change your mind, but if I help you understand something in a different light or see a different perspective that just makes you think about something in new way, that's great. And if I can foster that in this community with my audience, my comment section, then I think I'm doing something right." Cooper will provide cultural, social, and political commentary across all Fox News Media platforms. Cooper launched her podcast "The Brett Cooper Show" in January and has amassed over 9 million followers across her social media platforms. The Gen Z conservative is known for "her grounded perspective, sharp wit and distinctive takes," Fox News Media said when announcing her new role. In January, Cooper appeared on "Jesse Watters Primetime" to discuss the changing media landscape. "I watched the media landscape change… and young people are just hungry for independent voices who are authentic and honest with their audiences. They don't want to hear from traditional pundits 24/7," Cooper said. Cooper is a graduate of UCLA and is based in Tennessee, where she lives with her husband.

‘Kimmel' Guest Host Diego Luna Turns Fox News Mockery Into ‘Delicious' Moment

'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' guest host Diego Luna laughed off Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham Thursday after the Mexican actor's impassioned defense Monday of undocumented workers appeared to set off the conservative news host. 'I didn't do this for the recognition or the money,' Luna said Thursday. 'Because there's nothing. But there has been such an outpouring of support over the past few days. And last night... I got the highest honor a late-night host can receive.' Luna went on to play a clip of Fox News contributor Raymond Arroyo complaining Wednesday about Luna's Monday monologue and asking, 'When did the comedy and entertainment shows, Laura, become an excuse for boorish political commentary?' 'Oh no,' Ingraham replied, before appearing to read from a prompter: 'Actor Diego Luna, guest host of — I don't know who that is — guest hosted for Jimmy Kimmel. I don't watch, I don't think I've ever watched a Jimmy Kimmel.' The conservative pundits went on to play a portion of Luna's monologue from Monday, in which he noted that many undocumented workers 'pay a lot of taxes,' prompting Arroyo to wonder if Luna was 'speaking from experience' before asking, 'Why do we care?' Luna is the face of Disney's 'Star Wars' series 'Andor,' which has earned eight Emmy nods and is a spin-off of 2016's 'Rogue One' — which stars Luna and grossed over $1 billion worldwide. Ingraham said, 'I don't even know who he is,' prompting Arroyo to inform her. 'Oh, OK, sorry I missed that,' Ingraham replied sarcastically in the clip. 'Oh, thank you,' said Luna over applause and laughter as the clip concluded. 'By the way, Jimmy, that's my gift to you. Yeah, whatever name this woman has, I got her to finally watch your show.' Luna didn't stop there. 'I had a dream last night that this was a Mexican talk show, with Latin music and delicious food,' he said. 'Then I woke up and remembered, 'Oh yeah, I'm the host, I can do whatever the fuck I want.' So tonight our band, Cleto y los Cletones, they have gone full mariachi.' The camera then revealed Kimmel's house band, Cleto and the Cletones, in full mariachi regalia, as Luna announced that he invited local restaurant owners Eduardo Ruiz and Alberto Bañuelos — who run the Mexican eatery Burritos La Palma — 'to feed the whole audience.' The MeidasTouch Podcast Now Has 5 Million Subscribers

The MeidasTouch podcast just hit 5 million subscribers, cementing its status as a breakout force in ... More progressive media. Launched during the isolation of the pandemic lockdown era, a group chat between three brothers has transformed into one of the most influential voices in progressive media. The MeidasTouch Podcast — the flagship show of the MeidasTouch Network — has just crossed 5 million subscribers, a milestone that cements its place as not only a media juggernaut but a dominant force in independent political commentary. Founded in 2020 by Ben, Brett, and Jordy Meiselas, MeidasTouch first made waves as an anti-Trump political action committee during the height of the COVID pandemic. At the time, all three brothers were generally frustrated by the state of the world and looking for a productive outlet for their time and talents. 'It felt like screaming into the void,' Brett recently told Vanity Fair. 'So we committed to doing what we could — writing articles, making videos, just getting our thoughts out.' The rise of the MeidasTouch podcast They've been doing that same work, just more of it, ever since. What began with viral videos evolved into a full-fledged media network, now home to a multiple shows including Leigh McGowan's PoliticsGirl, and the legal commentary series Legal AF. But it's the core MeidasTouch Podcast, hosted by the three brothers, that's leading the way and drawing major guests like President Biden and Senators Elizabeth Warren – and racking up viewership numbers that rival cable news. A celebratory tweet posted by the network's senior digital editor Acyn Torabi (@Acyn on X) marked the subscriber milestone, reading in part: 'As we hit 5 million subscribers, I want to say this: this is one small step for the MeidasTouch Network, but I think one giant leap for independent journalism and democracy generally.' As far as who the brothers are: Ben is a lawyer and Colin Kaepernick's business partner, Brett is a two-time Emmy-winning video editor, and Jordy is a top advertising executive in New York. Their network has seen explosive growth so far this year, with Podscribe data showing that the podcast jumped from 57.7 million downloads and views per month in mid-February to 115 million the following month. And even after that surge, the numbers remained strong, with April 2025 data showing 107.3 million downloads. The brothers' YouTube channel alone averages 33 million views every 48 hours, according to Acyn, while the podcast's momentum has been enough to briefly dethrone even The Joe Rogan Experience. In February 2025, MeidasTouch pulled in 57.5 million downloads, outpacing Rogan's 51.5 million for the month. While comparisons to right-wing media stars are inevitable, however, the Meiselas brothers push back on the idea that the left needs its own Rogan. 'Right-wing podcasters weren't cooked up in a lab,' Ben continued in the Vanity Fair interview. 'They developed audiences organically over time.' Brett added that the key isn't finding someone who mimics Rogan's tone or beliefs — it's the authenticity that matters. That's a major part of MeidasTouch's appeal. Brett Meiselas has said in the past that the goal is to make listeners feel like they're part of the same experience the brothers share in private. The vibe, in other words, is supposed to feel like a conversation among friends. As for what's next, Acyn made it clear in his message on X, adding: 'We use our platform for good: to always shine a light on the truth, to expose the injustices taking place, and to confront the authoritarian Trump regime head-on, where corporate news has utterly failed and betrayed us all.' Five million subscribers in, the MeidasTouch Network clearly isn't slowing down. Based on the trends this year alone, there's every reason to believe that this is just the beginning.
