Here's how to save on a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 preorder
The forthcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 is Samsung's thinnest foldable yet. Our own Allison Johnson just published her full review ahead of the phone's launch on July 25th, and while there's certainly no denying it's a spendy device, know that various carriers and retailers are offering a host of preorder incentives, many of which will expire at launch. Although the Z Fold 7 isn't miles ahead of last-gen Z Fold 6 in terms of performance, it measures just 8.9mm thick when folded, making it look and feel like something of a next-gen foldable. The outer screen has also increased in size from 6.3 inches to 6.5 inches, which, when taken into account alongside its thickness, makes the Z Fold 7 feel more akin to a normal phone when folded. Alas, if only it had a 'normal phone' price tag instead of an exuberant starting price of $1,999. That being said, it's still possible to save on a preorder purchase, or at the very least receive some credit you can then spend on accessories like the Galaxy Watch 8. Whether you plan to shop directly through Samsung, your carrier, or a traditional retailer, here are the biggest promotions along with the key details you'll want to keep in mind. The current trade-in savings are big enough to chop the Z Fold 7's $1,999.99 price tag in half. Ahead of its release on July 25th, Samsung is offering up to $1,000 in credit for the last-gen Z Fold 6 and S25 Ultra — or less, if you're trading in an older phone. Samsung will give you an instant discount based on the estimated value of your trade-in, which lowers the out-of-pocket cost to $999.99. That's great, and thankfully, you can get instant trade-in credit even if you're activating the phone on Verizon or AT&T through Samsung's site. But that's not how trade-in credit works if you're buying directly through carriers. Carriers across the board are currently offering a $1,100 trade-in credit toward the Z Fold 7, which will be paid back in the form of monthly installments. AT&T will provide $1,100 in credits over 36 months to customers on postpaid unlimited plans who purchase the new phone with an installment plan. As for the phones that AT&T is currently accepting, they include any Galaxy S, Note, and S-series phone, regardless of its age or condition. Verizon is also offering up to $1,100 in monthly credits over 36 months with an eligible trade-in in 'any condition,' although the carrier doesn't list or even mention any eligible phones. You must also be on an Unlimited Ultimate plan to get that much credit. T-Mobile is offering up to $1,100 in monthly credits for those auto-paying for a plan that costs $85 or more per month — no trade-in required. If you're preordering directly through Samsung, you will receive a $50 Samsung credit to use on accessories as an extra perk. Those who aren't trading in a device will get an extra $300 to spend, totaling $350. However, the credit is 'use it or lose it,' so to speak; you'll forfeit it all if you don't use it at checkout. So, if you do go this route, you'll want to pick up a pair of earbuds, a case, a Galaxy Watch 8, etc etc. Keep in mind that the aforementioned credit is exclusive to Samsung's online storefront and isn't available when purchasing the Galaxy Z Fold 7 through a carrier, Best Buy, Amazon, or any other retailer. Some retailers, but not all, are offering the 512GB Z Fold 7 for no extra charge through July 24th. This includes Samsung, T-Mobile, Best Buy, and Amazon, the latter of which is also throwing in a $300 Amazon gift card with each purchase. However, AT&T and Verizon aren't, at least through their respective sites. They each are offering the 256GB model at the same $1,999 price that you can get the 512GB model for elsewhere. That said, activating the Z Fold 7 via Best Buy will allow you to purchase the 512GB variant for $1,899.99 as a one-time payment (or as a $55.55-a-month payment for 36 months). Amazon Cuts Galaxy Z Flip 7 Price Early, Bundles $200 Gift Card and Double Storage, No Trade-In Needed
If you've ever watched those news stories about people standing in line for days for the latest smartphone drop and wondered what in heck they were thinking, we're right there with you. Scoring a brand-new smartphone doesn't require a sleeping bag, just an amazing pre-order deal like the one Amazon is running right now on the Samsung Galaxy Flip7 — pre-order now and get a free upgrade to the max storage model plus a $200 Amazon gift card. See at Amazon The Galaxy Flip7 officially drops on July 25, but this awesome Amazon deal spares you the aggravation of waiting in line and also ensures this completely redesigned version of the Flip arrives at your door in unlocked format so you can take it to whichever cellular service you use, and it also saves you $320 off the top — the deal that brings you the phone, the free max storage, and the $200 Amazon gift card is just $1,100 if you pre-order by July 24. The Galaxy Flip7 may resemble the previous models of Samsung's popular line of clamshell smartphones, but closer inspection reveals some significant design upgrades. The new Galaxy Flip7 is thinner than the Flip6 — just 6.5mm when unfolded — and its hinge is almost 30% smaller than the one on the Flip6. Like the earlier Galaxy Flip phones, the Flip7 has an outer cover screen you see when the phone is folded and an interior screen when it's open. The Flip7's cover screen has grown to 4.1 inches — over a half-inch larger than that of the Flip6 — and now has the same fast 120Hz refresh rate of the 6.9-inch main interior screen. Samsung's also boosted the battery of the Galaxy Flip7 to 4,300 mAh, 300 more than the Flip6, and did so while shrinking the overall thickness of the Flip7. And like virtually all of Samsung's smartphones, the Galaxy Flip7 is built with truly stellar cameras: a 50-megapixel wide-angle main camera that supports 10-bit HDR videos and has a new zoom slider, and a 10MP selfie camera in the main screen. The Galaxy Flip7 promises to be a spectacular phone and we're expecting rave reviews and huge demand when it officially hits stores on July 25, but aside from avoiding the long lines, there are other advantages to pre-ordering it from Amazon and having it show up at your door. The pre-order deal brings you the Galaxy Flip7 in unlocked format, so you can bring it to any cellular carrier for service and avoid the costly installment plans that usually accompany a new smartphone. You'll also get the Large Storage model of the Galaxy Flip7 at no extra cost. Then there are the financial benefits — a 23% price cut right off the bat from Amazon, dropping the price from $1,420 to $1,100, and the added incentive of a $200 Amazon gift card thrown in for free. So when you see those people standing in line for their Galaxy Flip7, chuckle to yourself in the knowledge that yours will be hitting your mailbox right away, and that you scored a much better deal without ever leaving the house. Get a $200 Gift Card and Double the Storage When You Preorder the Hot New Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 From Amazon Right Now
Android users and fans of the Samsung Galaxy phone lineup are eagerly awaiting the July 25 release date of the latest foldable in Samsung's lineup, the Galaxy Z Flip 7. With an announced retail price of $1,220 for the 512 GB variant, it's not exactly the cheapest phone out there. But the great news is, you can get one for less thanks to some intriguing preorder offers. Right now, Amazon is currently offering a trifecta of savings: pick up the Galaxy Z Flip 7 for $120 off, plus get a $200 Amazon gift card and double the storage on the phone. That means you get this entire bundle for $1,100. Combine the bundle for a value of $1,420 and you save $320. Be be quick -- this offer expires July 24. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 offers a 4.1-inch cover screen and 6.9-inch inner screen, both which run at 120Hz, offering a clear picture quality no matter how you view the phone. The FlexWindow, which is the cover display, supports Gemini, including Gemini Live. It also boasts a 4,300-mAh battery for all day performance. The Flip 7 comes in three colors: blue shadow, jet black and coral red. Note that Samsung is also offering a fourth color, mint, on its website, but that is not part of the Amazon offer. The redesigned Z Flip 7 is thinner than its predecessor, the Z Flip 6 but, as reviewer Patrick Holland describes, is sturdier than ever. He writes, "After less than six hours with the Galaxy Z Flip 7, I accidentally performed my own informal drop test. At a catered affair in Brooklyn, I walked outside to get a view of the waterfront, and when I pulled the Z Flip 7 out of my pocket, I fumbled it. I watched helplessly as Samsung's newest foldable phone fell to the ground." A cringe moment for sure, but the outcome? The phone was perfectly fine. No scratches, no damage. As Holland notes, "Samsung's claim that its new 'Armour Flex Hinge' is built to withstand impact is indeed true." Why this deal matters In a comparable deal, we've seen that Samsung preorders for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 currently include a $120 discount on the phone as well, bringing it down to $1,100 for the 512 GB model, so it also includes the free storage upgrade. While you do have the potential for trade-in with Samsung, if you aren't seeking to trade in an older phone, the Amazon offer beats Samsung by throwing in the $200 Amazon gift card which you can then use for anything you want. Since Amazon has everything from groceries to phone cases, it's a versatile option for a lower price. Overall this bundle nets you the phone, extra storage and some spending money for the same price as the Samsung offer.

Samsung Makes $963 Offer To Galaxy Z Fold 7 Buyers
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 smartphone is displayed at a Samsung store in Seoul on July 10, 2025. ... More Samsung unveiled on July 9, the new generation of its foldable smartphone, the Z Fold7, dramatically slimmed down in an attempt to jumpstart this still-niche market. (Photo by Jung Yeon-je / AFP) (Photo by JUNG YEON-JE/AFP via Getty Images) Samsung really wants you to buy the Galaxy Z Fold 7. It started with repeated teasers, that virtually gave everything away, and ended with a spate of pre-order discounts, including a 24-hour flash giveaway, that totals $963.17. This story was updated on July 17th with new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 pre-order details. As it stands, the Korean company is running seven (get it?) different promotions for its Galaxy Z Fold 7, alongside a new double trade-in deal I haven't seen before (more on that below). Here's what is on offer. Most of these offers expire on July 24th, except the long-running "APP5" code, and the free pair of Galaxy Buds voucher, which ends today (July 15th) at midnight. Considering Samsung continued to offer freebies and discounts weeks after the Galaxy S25 Edge released, I wouldn't be surprised if more were on the way for the Fold 7. These promotions and freebies, before a trade-in is included, total £718.95 ($963.17). A solid deal that almost makes buying the phone in the pre-order period worth it. Especially the double trade-in deal, which is one of the more eye-catching offers. In essence, Samsung will pay £200 for 'any tablet in any condition' on top of your used-smartphone trade-in. The Korean company previously told me that it will honor that promise of accepting any device, and the small print doesn't have any glaring caveats to it. The 100 day try before you buy period, too, is very enticing. Samsung Has More Galaxy Z Fold 7 Discounts Up Its Sleeve But, as you will know if you read my deals stories (don't miss any by hitting the follow button below), this is the worst time to buy a smartphone. Like cars, smartphones depreciate rapidly and the pre-order period is when the device is at its most expensive. Samsung will almost certainly discount the Galaxy Z Fold 7 again. A good cue is the Galaxy S25 Edge, which was bundled with the Galaxy Tab A9 Plus a month after the phone launched. Also, a Galaxy Z Fold 6 deal in May knocked a straight $350 off the device, which, to me, is the gold standard in deals because the actual price of the handset is lower. Freebies and incentives are great, but minimising the dent in your wallet is far more important. Trade-in prices, too, were better a month ago. In June Samsung valued the Galaxy S23 Plus at £333 ($446.08), but now it's only worth £257 ($344.27). The Galaxy S23 Ultra was priced at £449 ($601.47), now it's valued at £386 ($517.07). It's not all bad news, last month Samsung paid £230 ($308.10) for the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max, that valuation has now shot up to £345 ($462.15). If you're not in a hurry to buy the Galaxy Z Fold 7, I'd say it's worth waiting to see what discounts Samsung has up its sleeve for next month. Update July 17th: It's clear that the U.K.'s Galaxy Z Fold 7 pre-order deal is superior to the Samsung U.S. offer. American buyers get the double storage deal and the $50 credit if they registered their interest before the device was announced. But there doesn't appear to be any of the associated vouchers, such as the 'PAYPAL' or 'BUDS' codes that British shoppers can use. Nor does the 100 day try-before-you-buy promise apply in the U.S. Instead, U.S. shoppers can get $300 store credit—after buying the Fold 7—if they don't have a device to trade-in. That $300 can't be used on the phone itself, rather Samsung is pushing customers towards the $499 Watch 8 Classic or $649 Galaxy Watch Ultra. There's also the same double storage deal mentioned above, which saves $120. It's not clear why Samsung U.K. has better deals for its tech, perhaps the market is more competitive on this side of the pond, but it has been trending this way for a few months. The starkest example of that is Samsung U.K.'s suddenly high trade-in prices that far outstripped U.S. trade-in valuations last month.

Analogue's 4K N64 has been delayed again, but only by a month
The Analogue 3D has been hit with another delay, but should still be launching this summer. In an update on its preorder website, Analogue explained that it's modern take on the Nintendo 64 'is now shipping in late August 2025,' after previously aiming for July. The company said in a separate statement that the decision was made due to the ever-changing situation around US tariffs. 'Following last week's sudden tariff changes, Analogue 3D will now begin shipping next month,' the company explained in a post on X. 'We're absorbing the costs — your preorder price stays the same. No additional charges. Late August, the wait ends: reviews go live with everything we've been saving for this moment.' Like its previous hardware, the $249.99 Analogue 3D is a modern console designed to play old games, in this case N64 cartridges. The new console can upscale classic games to 4K and includes multiple display modes to mimic the look and feel of a CRT display, and the company says that it supports 100 percent of N64 cartridges. It was originally planned for a launch in 2024, but has been hit with multiple delays since it was initially announced.
