These Are The Most Peaceful Beach Destinations, According To New Analysis

Burleigh Heads beach on a perfect Gold Coast day, Queensland, Australia getty Beach destinations are a great option for travelers looking to unwind and rest while traveling — but the definition of unwinding and resting can differ greatly from person to person. If you're looking for beach clubs and a party scene, for example, you likely won't care as much about noise pollution or well-maintained green spaces. However, if you're looking for a peaceful beach destination where you can truly unwind and relax in a serene space, a new analysis from long-haul travel specialists at Travelbag has just uncovered some of the most peaceful beach destinations worldwide. The analysis looked at things like noise and light pollution, overall cleanliness, and the number of green spaces and parks in order to rank the best options. Here are some of the most peaceful beach destinations for travelers really looking to relax and unwind in serenity: View on the Anse Lazio beach in the island Praslin, Seychelles, Indian Ocean, Africa. getty The Seychelles earned top spot as the most peaceful beach destination. It's famous for its white sand beaches and turquoise waters — but it also has the lowest noise and light pollution, low water pollution levels, and a high overall cleanliness score. Nudey Beach on Fitzroy Island, Cairns area, Queensland, Australia, part of Great Barrier Reef. getty The first of three Australian destinations on the list, Cairns earned second place thanks to its low noise and light pollution, high cleanliness score, and its easy access to green spaces, well-maintained public spaces, and a serene yet vibrant atmosphere. Gold Coast, Australia An aerial view of the Surfers Paradise skyline on a clear day in Queensland, Australia getty The third most peaceful beach — and second Australian destination on the list — is the infamous Gold Coast. Despite its slightly higher noise and pollution score, it boasts some of the highest-rated beaches in the world and a high cleanliness score when it comes to water cleanliness and pollution specifically. Sydney, Australia Bondi beach, Sydney, NSW, Australia: People swimming in the fresh water swimming pools built in to the sea with waves rolling in to Bondi and breaking against the edge of the pool getty You might not expect a big city like Sydney to hit the top of the list but the quality of green spaces and parks, as well as the overall cleanliness, positions Sydney as a very good option for a peaceful beach vacation with a side of bustling city life. Auckland, New Zealand Elevated wide angle view of bay and beach with moored yachts on Rakino Island getty Auckland, New Zealand earned fifth spot on the list thanks largely to its cleanliness score and the quality of its green spaces and parks. It earned a slightly higher than average level of noise and light pollution but makes up for it with its clean and well-maintained nature-focused spaces. Barbados Bathsheba, East coast of Barbados, Lesser Antilles. getty With a low noise and light pollution score, low water pollution, and very high average beach reviews, Barbados is another standout spot for a peaceful beach destination. Its crystal clear waters and white sand beaches are some of the top-rated in the world. The next most peaceful beach destination was Dubai, UAE, followed by Honolulu, Hawaii, Havana, Cuba, and Cancun, Mexico.

5 Easy Ways to Make Household Cleaning Feel Less Like a Chore

Believe it or not, there are ways to make mundane chores feel glamorous. It's safe to say, not many people look forward to completing household chores, especially at the end of a long day or week. Unless you find scrubbing, sweeping, sorting, and folding relaxing, you likely could use some motivation to tackle these tasks. Imagine if your weeknight decluttering session could feel less like a dreaded chore and more like an act of self-care that boosts your mood and makes your space look better. Romanticizing your chore routine doesn't mean you need to pretend you're passionate about cleaning or tidying up. It simply involves finding small ways to infuse mundane tasks with a sense of enjoyment. It also sends a message to yourself that you deserve to find joy in these daily activities. Related: 6 Simple Ways to Make Everyday Chores Feel Better Using Chore Decor How to Romanticize Your Weekly Chore Routine Try one of these simple ways to elevate your cleaning routine. After using these tips consistently, hopefully, your household chores will become less daunting and more relaxing. 1. Listen to Music or an Audiobook Music can easily transform your energy and mood, so use it as motivation to accomplish your to-do list. Before you grab the mop or start folding that pile of clean laundry, put on a playlist that matches the atmosphere you want to create. Try jazz to make your kitchen feel like a café or throwback tunes from when you were younger to give you energy to tackle cleaning the bathroom. If you want to be distracted from chores, consider listening to an audiobook that transports you to another time or place while you wash the windows. Whichever you prefer, have it ready before embarking on your chores. 2. Set the Scene with Scent Lighting a candle may not help you clean the bathroom faster, but it can certainly make the experience more enjoyable. If you prefer diffusers, consider filling yours with essential oils designed to energize and motivate, such as lemon, peppermint, or eucalyptus. While it has a calming effect, infusing your space with lavender may be a good idea while performing your nightly cleaning routine, as it can signal you to wind down. 3. Dress Up for the Occasion This tip might sound odd, but there's something to be said about being more productive after putting on something that is both comfy and cute. This is a personal choice—your perfect chore outfit could be a sundress, matching workout set, or even a pair of clean pajamas. Some people say wearing shoes makes them feel more productive when doing things around the house. If you're curious to try it but don't like wearing shoes inside, consider designating a pair of shoes or hard-soled slippers to wear only inside the house. 4. Use Fun and Functional Tools It's hard to feel glamorous while using a plastic toilet brush. But, swapping it with a bamboo-handled brush stored in a sleek ceramic holder might entice you to clean the bowl more often. This isn't to say you should replace all of your cleaning tools now, but it's something to consider over time. Remember that small changes, like pouring your DIY cleaning solutions into glass spray bottles or dusting items with an old-fashioned feather duster, can make a big difference in your cleaning experience. Splurging on a set of rainbow-colored microfiber cloths instead of using paper towels not only makes cleaning feel more whimsical, but it's better for both the environment and your budget. 5. Reward Yourself While you're doing something nice for your home, you can also treat yourself. Rewarding yourself for completing a chore could involve sipping an iced latte while reorganizing your closet or cleaning for 20 minutes, then allowing a 5-minute social media scroll. You can also connect specific rewards with certain tasks, like calling your best friend to chat while switching over the sheets or enjoying a piece of chocolate while meal prepping for the week. The goal is to train your brain to anticipate these rituals, not because the chores are inherently fun, but because they are paired with something you love. These Are the Best Spa Cities in the World—and the Top Spot Is a Small U.K. City

A new study set out to find the best spa cities in the world using data from Yelp and Google. One destination in the U.K. took the top spot for its high density of spas and luxury offerings. Cities like Palm Springs, California, and Miami also ranked highly, with standout scores in search interest and spa density. Everyone is looking for something different when it comes to vacations—some may want an adrenaline rush, others a deep cultural experience, and some people really just want to relax. For the true relaxation connoisseurs, spa cloud software company Zenoti's 2025 report on the best cities in the world for spas has all the details on where to find the most spas, the best-reviewed ones, and even where to find the most affordable spas. For its study, Zenoti used a combination of Yelp and Google search data (specifically, the phrase "spas near me"), and each city had to meet a few requirements in order to be included on the list. Each destination needed to have at least 20 spa listings on Yelp, and there needed to be population data available to calculate spa density per capita. After cities ticked off all the requirements, they were judged by a weighted index according to five factors: the number of spas per capita, average Yelp ratings, the percentage of luxury spas in the area, the percentage of affordable spas, and the volume of Google searches for 'spas near me' in 2025. With all of that information factored in, Bath, U.K., came out as the best spa city in the world. For fans of historical romance novels, it's not too much of a surprise that Bath came in first place. Not only is it the most spa-dense city in the world, but it also ranks high for spa-related searches and luxury spa offerings. With mineral-rich hot springs, Bath has long been a favorite spa town, with an ancient history that dates back to the days of the Roman Empire. However, you won't even need a passport to visit the second location on the list. Palm Springs, California, a longtime favorite wellness destination, ranked highly for both spa density and search volume, so you'll definitely be in the company of other travelers looking for cupping, deep tissue massages, and facials. The third-place spot also went to another domestic destination: Miami, Florida. The South Florida city ranks high in spa density, search volume, and affordable spas, so seeking out a wellness-focused retreat here should be relatively stress-free. Here are the top 10 spa cities in the world according to the Zenoti study, for all your travel planning and wanderlust needs. Bath, United Kingdom Palm Springs, California Miami, Florida Toronto, Canada Scottsdale, Arizoma Honolulu, Hawaii Vancouver, Canada Boston, Massachusetts Seattle, Washington New York City, New York Some other interesting tidbits? The most affordable spa cities in the world didn't make it to the top 10. The most affordable spa cities are Osaka and Kyoto in Japan. Conversely, if you're looking for the best luxury experiences, your best bets are Milan, Italy, and Geneva, Switzerland. Kyoto is also home to some of the best-rated spas in the world, alongside Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Scottsdale, Arizona. You can check out the full list and find more info on
