McNair High in Stockton flooded by water main break, students shift to remote learning
A Stockton-area school is shifting to remote learning for the day after a water main broke and caused flooding on campus. The Lodi Unified School District announced Monday that McNair High School will be on remote learning for the day due to the situation. "Students will need to log onto their Google Classroom during their class periods. Students on campus will be going home," the district said in a statement. Video from the scene shows significant flooding in one of McNair's buildings. It appears several classrooms are impacted. Workers are trying to mitigate the damage. It's unclear how the water main broke and how long the school will be in remote learning. Lodi Unified schools only just returned from summer break last Tuesday.

Schools closed due to burst water pipe
Pupils at two schools have been told to stay at home due to a burst water pipe. The Commonweal Sixth Form School and Lethbridge Primary School in Swindon, Wiltshire, closed earlier as they had no water. Utility company Thames Water said it had found a solution to fix the leak on Collard Close, but the "tricky process" could take a few hours. GCSE and A-Level exams at Commonweal School will still take place, but Year 10 mock exams have been postponed due to the disruption. In a statement, the school's headteacher Charles Drew said all students - except from those with external exams - "should stay at home and engage in remote learning". Thames Water said it had been able to temporarily restore supply in the area by bringing in water from other parts of the network. It added that workers were digging down to expose the section of broken main and expected the repair to take between four and five hours to complete. St. Andrew's Public School in Cambridge closed for water main break
St. Andrew's Public School in Cambridge was closed Thursday, due to a water main break. In a release by the Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB), they confirmed facility services staff and contractors were on site working to address the break. Students were switched to learn remotely for the day. WRDSB said staff would provide updates as they became available. A track and field meet happening at Jacob Hespeler Secondary School resumed as normal.

Pittsburgh Carmalt students to learn remotely Tuesday due to water main break in school
Some Pittsburgh Public School students will learn remotely on Tuesday. Pittsburgh Carmalt PreK-8 students will transition to remote synchronous learning for the day because of a water main break inside the building, a district spokesperson said.
