Lloyd Expressway ramps to close on Tuesday
HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — Two of the four ramps at University Parkway and the Lloyd will close for six weeks for pavement replacement. Officials with the Indiana Department of Transportation say the northeast exit and entrance ramps leading from the westbound lanes of Lloyd to University Parkway will close until mid July. Valleys road to be closed 'for some time' after serious collision
A main road through the south Wales valleys has been closed off after a collision. Police are in attendance at the incident in Wattstown, Rhondda Fach after the crash occured early Sunday evening, June 1. The road concerned will be shut for some time according to South Wales Police and it is the main road through Wattstown rather than the nearby bypass (the A4233). Motorists will not be able to access Wattstown via Aberllechau Road from the Travis Perkins roundabout and the road is closed in both directions. It reads: "We're at the scene of a serious collision on Aberllechau Road, Wattstown, Porth. "The road is currently closed in both directions from Travis Perkins roundabout. "It is expected to remain closed for some time; please avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible. We're grateful for your patience." Overnight closures to take place as McClugage bridge work continues
PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — The intersection of Northeast Adams Street and East War Memorial Drive will experience closures starting Monday. Lanes on these streets will be closed down to allow the removal of steel beams from the old McClugage Bridge, said a spokesperson with the Illinois Department of Transportation. The closures will take place from June 2-6 and the road will be closed for about 20 minutes sometime between 8:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. the next morning, they said. The lanes that will be closed will vary depending on which beams are being removed at that time, they said. They also said drivers should expect delays and also allow for extra time when travelling through the area. 'Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment,' they said. Heading back from a trip up north? Southbound SR 87 closed due to a brush fire near Payson
Drivers heading back home from a weekend up north should be aware of a road closure on southbound State Route 87 south of Payson. The roadway was blocked at milepost 242 due to a brush fire, according to a post on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, from the Arizona Department of Transportation. There is no estimated time for the road to reopen, ADOT said. Tonto National Forest fire crews were working on the brush fire with no state resources available at the moment, according to Tiffany Davila with the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management. Sinkhole on Highway 1 near Watsonville partially closes down roadway
Highway 1 near Watsonville was partially closed on Sunday after a sinkhole opened up on the side of the roadway, the California Highway Patrol said.
