Deion Sanders Makes Huge Announcement on Friday
Deion Sanders Makes Huge Announcement on Friday originally appeared on Athlon Sports. For the third consecutive year, Colorado football has sold out its season tickets. It's a feat that hasn't been accomplished in more than two decades before Deion Sanders arrived in Boulder. Advertisement The university announced Friday that all season tickets for the upcoming 2025 season have been sold, continuing a streak that began in 2023 when Sanders' arrived at CU. Colorado had not sold out its season tickets since the Bill McCartney era, when the Buffaloes did so regularly. From 1989-1997, CU sold out multiple games in every season, 32 overall in a 54-game span. CU's first known sellout was in 1952 and last year was the first time in 21 seasons that multiple games have sold out in back-to-back seasons. It was also the most games that have sold out over a two year stretch in CU history. This marks just the 11th time in school history that season tickets have sold out before the start of the season, according to CU athletics. The buzz follows a strong 2024 campaign in which the Buffaloes finished 9-4 and reached the Alamo Bowl. Colorado has emerged as a national television draw under Sanders. Advertisement The Buffs averaged 3.86 million viewers per game last season, ranking sixth nationally, and set a program record with 13 nationally televised games. Their Alamo Bowl rematch with BYU drew 8 million viewers on ABC. The most-watched Alamo Bowl in history and the most-viewed non-New Year's Six bowl game since 2020. Sanders signed a five-year, $54 million contract extension in March, making him the highest-paid coach in the Big 12. Even with quarterback Shedeur Sanders and two-way star Travis Hunter heading to the NFL, fan and media interest around the program remains strong. Four of the first five games in will be televised on a national network. Only 91k Season Ticket Holders Strong Until Penn State Football
The long-coveted number of Penn State football season ticket holders was finally revealed by Pat Kraft in 2022. At a random Coaches Show radio appearance at The Field, he let the number fly: 91,754. Perhaps this number has fluctuated since then (2022 was three years ago?), and it will certainly fluctuate with the upcoming Beaver Stadium renovations, but that's the most accurate figure we have. Kraft said, at the time, that it was the most in the country. I'll buy that. Advertisement Even with the renovations, Penn State plans to keep the stadium's seating arrangements pretty close to its official 106,572 capacity in 2025. Only 91 days until 100k+ fans pile into Happy Valley for Penn State's season opener against Nevada! More from

Former Man United hero not renewing season ticket after being 'forcibly relocated' under Sir Jim Ratcliffe's ticket plans - as legend's wife posts scathing criticism of club
Man United great Norman Whiteside will not renew his season ticket at the club after being 'forcibly relocated', his wife has announced. Whiteside made 278 appearances for Man United during the 1980s, scoring 68, across eight seasons. He famously made his debut for the club aged 16 and in 1982 broke Pele 's record for the youngest player to feature at the World Cup. The Northern Irish star helped Man United to win the FA Cup in 1983 and 1985. Whiteside had a further two years at Everton, but his playing career was cruelly cut short when a serious knee injury forced him to retire at the age of 26. Last year, Whiteside's wife Denise, more commonly known as Dee, hit out at the club after they were relocated from their usual seats at Old Trafford. Whiteside's wife Dee revealed they have decided against renewing their season tickets after claiming they had been 'forcibly moved' by the club last season The couple had long been settled close to the directors' box in the Sir Bobby Charlton stand. Man United claimed in response that the club was moving matchday hospitality seats into consolidated blocks to address fan concerns about them being dispersed around the stadium. Dee Whiteside, writing on social media, has now confirmed that she and Norman will be giving up their season tickets at Old Trafford after over 28 years. 'So, I've waited for a while to write this. It is with unbelievable sadness, that after more than 28 years of having season tickets at Old Trafford, Norman Whiteside and I are not renewing next year,' she wrote. 'Having been forcibly relocated last season, 'red carded' for not attending enough games, unable to give my 'paid for' seat to my children… enough is enough. 'And to cap it all, we've seen it all, we've won the lot, we're Man United and we're never gonna stop… except for so many seasons now, my match going loyalty to my club has ended so sadly. 'I'll still be at games, I'm MUFC until I die, and I've seen worse times than now, but I'm not sure I've seen players less interested in pulling on our shirt for very many years. 'Times must change.' Whiteside's comments come just weeks after fans protested against co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe over plans to move some of the club's season ticket holders. The club plan to relocate around 500 United season ticket holders whose seats are close to the dugout. United intend for those seats to be taken by fans in premium hospitality, with the club saying that this reflects 'the high value of this unique location'. Fans are also disappointed with Ratcliffe's decision to increase the price of season tickets by £66. The increases have come despite Man United suffering a dismal domestic season, with Ruben Amorim's side heading into their final match of the campaign in 16th place. Man United's woes were compounded on Wednesday when they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Tottenham in the Europa League final, with the result also ending their hopes of Champions League qualification.

Carlisle United reveal season ticket and matchday prices for 2025/26
Carlisle United are offering season ticket holders certain extra savings next season - but match ticket prices in the National League will remain the same. The Blues, after back-to-back relegations from League One to the fifth tier, have confirmed their prices for the 2025/26 campaign. There is an additional match saving for existing adult and senior season ticket holders who renew, with a six-game saving now on offer instead of last year's five. New season ticket holders (adults and seniors) who take advantage of an early-buy period will get a four-game saving - it was three games last season. There is no reduction, though, in general ticket prices despite United playing in non-league next term, while season ticket prices for other concessions are also the same. Renewals for existing season ticket holders, which open next Monday and runs to June 8, are available for £391 for adults in seating areas and £340 in terracing. The early buy period for new season ticket sales is from May 27 to June 30. That sees adult prices £437 (seating) and £380 (terracing). Standard adult season ticket prices, in the period from July 1 to August 1, are £483 (seating) and £420 (terracing). For non season-ticket holders, the cost of watching Carlisle in the National League as opposed to Leagues Two and One is unchanged. Adult seating tickets bought before matchday are £23, going up to £26 if bought on matchday. The equivalent terracing prices are £20 and £23. Carlisle described the extra match savings for renewals and early-buy season tickets as "a thank you to our loyal season ticket their unwavering support." The announcement was accompanied by a statement from owner Tom Piatak, who said: "Your loyalty through these past two years has been extraordinary. It's the foundation we're rebuilding on. You are the heart and soul of Carlisle United." United owners Tom and Patty Piatak (Image: Richard Parkes) The businessman said the closing weeks of United's season saw a "spark" with "team and supporters reconnecting" despite Carlisle's failed attempt to stay in the EFL. He added: "Looking ahead to 2025/26, our mission is clear: to rebuild, to rise, and to return. We are putting everything in place - on and off the pitch - to deliver promotion. "That means assembling a squad capable of competing at the top, upholding professional standards, and being led by strong football leadership. "We know success on the pitch is what matters most. Plans are in motion. The backing is in place. Now we need you with us. Your support will make the difference. "I believe the future of Carlisle United is bright. But we won't get there alone. Join us. Believe with us. Help us bring this club back where it belongs - in the EFL." The announcement on prices came ahead of a decision on United's head coach for 2025/26, with Piatak having said on Friday that talks with Mark Hughes would hopefully be concluded next week. The Blues' retained and released list is also set to be out by next Saturday. Full information and all 2025/26 season ticket prices are on the club website HERE.
